Chapter 14
**Archer**
My leg is bouncing anxiously as we wait for Elise. Scott appears from behind one of the doors and flashes us all a big smile. A knowing smile.
“Hey, brothers! How’s it going?” He says brightly.
“Did Liddy send you out to watch us?” Ezra asks crossing his arms and standing a bit taller.
Scott pretends not to notice. “She knew you guys would be worrying about your girl so she sent me to check on you. You know your sister.”
Sawyer scoffs. “Yeah, her definition of worrying is a little different. She just likes to be up in our asses all the time.”
Scott chuckles and drops down next to him. “Oh come on, you know that’s how she shows she cares. If she didn’t hound you guys all the time you would have a quite boring life. Your sister makes all of our lives interesting.”
Sawyer rolls his eyes but I have to agree. Our parents have accepted the fact that we sometimes are too busy to call them regularly. Liddy never lets us go a day without speaking to her and although we all act as if it’s a pain, it makes me love her even more. Our little sister looking after us? It’s cute.
“Alright. So lay it on me. What’s going on with you and the girl?” Scott asks sounding serious. “Liddy mentioned that she wanted to help her at Haven but that didn’t go over well. What’s going on?”
We’re all silent for a moment and I glance at my brothers but they all shift awkwardly. I guess it’s time I admit what I’ve been feeling since I saw her.
“I want her. More than I’ve ever wanted anything. I’m drawn to her and the urge to be near her and protect her is so strong. I feel like I need to touch her just to be sure she’s there.” I admit it because I don’t want to hide how I’m feeling.
Not from family.
“I feel the same way. As soon as I saw her I felt it. I'm just worried that nothing will be as simple as saying we want her to get her to commit to us. There is still so much we don't know about her." Ezra says and as much as I hate to think that way, he's right.
We have no idea the extent of things Elise has had to deal with and if she even wants to be brought into a pack. She may be wanting to run and even though I swore I wouldn't let her go, I would have to. I want her to choose us.
"You know I have a hard time with relationships and things like that, but I want that with her. I slept in the same bed as her and I have never done that with another woman before. I've never wanted to, but with her, it was like I didn't want to leave her. I don't know man, it's a strange feeling but I don't hate it." Sawyer says shocking us all.
"Weston?" Ezra asks and we all turn our attention to our quiet brother.
He eyes us all before blowing out a breath and leaning forward to rest his elbows on his knees.
"She isn't scared of me. She hasn't been since she saw me. No girl has ever looked at me without fear. She accepts me, and that means a lot. Plus, I feel like I'm addicted to her." He says and Sawyer smirks at him.
It's true....she is addicting. I feel like a man possessed in my need for her. It's so strong that I wonder how I would recover if she ever left us. One day with her is all it's taken for me to be completely obsessed.
"Wow. You guys got it bad. You're all worse than we were when we first met Liddy." Scott says with a chuckle. "I never thought I'd see the day you guys fell for a girl this hard. She really must be something special. I'm happy for you. Plus it would be nice for your sister to have a girlfriend. You know how hard it is for her to get along with other women."
We all chuckle at that. Liddy is a badass chick, and that turns a lot of girls off. Her strong personality and tough mouth has always made her sort of an outcast, that and having four overprotective brothers around. Since she wasn't under Haven's protection we spent nearly all our time around her. It would be nice for her to have someone she could be close to who would accept her the way she is. I could see the fire in Elise's eyes when Liddy told her to keep us in line. There was a spark lit there and the way Elise sat straighter made it even more evident that our girl has fire in her that she's ready to let out.
We may some tough bastards, but we would bow to that girl if she asked.
"Well, I better get back. I need to finish up some paperwork." Scott says getting to his feet. "Don't wait too long to tell her how you feel. It's not meaningless that you found her. Don't screw it up."
Scott waves at us before turning and heading back through the door he came from.
"So..." Sawyer says awkwardly looking at each of us. "What are we going to do?"
Ezra and Weston share a look. "We want to talk to Elise and tell her we want her to stay. Not as a rescued scared girl, but to be...ours."
A thrill runs through me and I feel my hope growing at the idea of telling Elise I want her as my girl. Our girl...
We sit in the waiting room for a good thirty minutes before Elise and Liddy step out the door together. Elise smiles at our sister and feels a tightness in my chest I hadn't realized was there loosen at the sight of her smile.
"Call me any time okay? We are going to need some girl time with all these boys around." Liddy says with a wide smile.
It looks as if she has fallen for our girl's charms just as we have. Elise thanks her again and Sawyer steps up and grabs her hand before any of us get a chance. He drops a kiss on top of Liddy's head and leads Elise to the front door. Once they step out Ezra turns to our sister and gives her a serious look.
"So?" He asks firmly.
She eyes him for a second but then her eyes move to look out the window at Elise. "She is an amazingly strong woman. She's been through so much and still, she is the sweetest thing I've ever met. But there is something you should know. All of her injuries...they're gone. The fact that her vision came back overnight was shocking but everything else too? It's weird, and when I asked her about it she seemed scared to explain. I think there is something she not telling us, and it's not good. There is a lot more going on with her and I'm worried it can put her in even more danger. You guys need to be careful and keep a good eye on her."
"We will," Weston says.
She nods at us. "I thought taking her to a place like Haven or a shelter for Omegas would be best for her, but it wouldn't be. I know now that she's safest with you guys, plus when we were talking about how things were going with you all she blushed like crazy. She's interested and honestly, I can't think of a girl better suited for you guys. I can see something special in her. So you all better treat her like a queen or I will hunt you down and make you pay. I like her, so don't screw things up."
With that final warning, she steps up to each of us and gives us a firm hug before heading back through the office door.
"Completely healed. This makes no sense." Ezra says rubbing his chin in thought.
He seems to be letting his beard grow again. It used to make all the girls wild for him but now I wonder if Elise would like it.
"It doesn't change anything. She's still our girl." Weston says before heading for the door.
"He's right Z, I don't care about any of that. I just want her." I tell him before walking off as well.
I had planned to sit in the back with her again but Weston has stolen my seat and has pulled Elise into his side.
"Liddy said she would bring you some clothes. What happened?" Sawyer asks looking our girl over.
"I didn't feel right wearing another Omegas clothes. It would bother her Alphas when I return it, and I don't want to cause them any issues. I...like Liddy." Elise says and Sawyer smirks at her.
"Then that means we're going shopping!" He says rubbing his hands together in excitement.
"Guys that isn't necessary," Elise says trying to pull away from Weston to protest further, but he holds her tight to him.
"Let us take care of you." He says and she stares wide-eyed at him for a second before nodding.
They look at each other for a long moment before the hand wrapped around her shoulders moves and Weston brushes the side of her face in reverence. I have never seen him so gentle with anyone like that.
He's right...Elise isn't scared of him at all.
