Chapter 58

**Bennett**

"So where to first?" Kai asks.

"We should pick up her phone first so we can try and get it set up right away," Rowan suggests and we all make various sounds of agreement and turn to head toward the direction of where the phone shop is located.

Declan has still not released Luna, and I am a little worried that his big frame is a second away from enveloping our little Omega whole. She looks so tiny next to any of us but next to Declan she looks even more so.

It is not a far walk to the phone store and when we walk in Declan finally releases Luna so she can look around. She looks sweet as her wide eyes take in all the fancy new phones that have been released this year. I'm not sure what life is like for she in Haven, but I had assumed she had seen some of these phones before.

"She looks as if she is seeing all of this for the first time," I say to Rowan.

"Yeah. It's a little weird that she seems so surprised by this stuff. They Have ads everywhere for the newest phones constantly." I nod along in agreement but something catches my eye making me forget Rowan is talking to me.

"Hi! Can I help you find anything?" A chipper-looking young Beta asks stepping right up to Luna and completely ignoring the rest of us.

His doe eyes look excited at talking to such a pretty girl. Jealousy flares in me instantly and I am about to step forward and tell the kid to back off, but Milo beats me to it.

"She's deaf." He tells the kid and his face morphs from happy to a face that looks like you just kicked his puppy.

"Oh, I'm so sorry." He says and then does something I didn't expect.

He starts to sign to Luna, and her face lights up. They start signing back and forth and I can feel my pack mates growing more agitated by the second.

"What is he saying?" Declan growls out lowly to Milo.

We had all grouped together to watch the exchange between Luna and the sales clerk.

"Nothing really. They're just talking about how he learned to sign." Milo says with a shrug.

Declan just lets out a huff and mumbles a few words of his displeasure before crossing his arms over his chest and standing tall. I'm guessing this was to intimidate the kid but he wasn't giving us a second glance.

"I hate that guy," Kai says sounding like a pouting child.

"Relax guys. She is just excited to meet someone she can talk to. It's making us look bad though. Milo, we will need some links because the fact a stranger can communicate with her and we can't is unacceptable." Milo agrees to Rowan's request and we all fall silent again to watch Luna.

After a couple of minutes, the guy tunes to one of the phones and is signing, and I assume he's starting to do his job and sell her a phone.

"He smiles too much," Declan grumbles and I chuckle.

None of us liked what was going on, but we weren't stopping it either. The kid looks love-struck but harmless, so we must all have the same idea that he isn't a real threat to us. I decide to pull away from the group and glance around at the other electronics on display. A row of tablets catch my attention and I wonder if it would be a good idea to get one for Luna. It might come in handy for when we're on the road. Does she have any hobbies that this tablet could come in handy for?

"Are you looking at that for yourself or for Luna?" Rowan asks stepping up beside me.

"For Luna. She could use it for a lot of things, but I'm not sure what she likes. If she likes art then we should also get the accessories, or does she like to read a lot? Then we would want to get something a bit smaller so it's more comfortable for her to read on." I debate it in my mind as I explain my thoughts out loud.

"Don't they have those eReader tablets? We could get her all of it and cover all the bases." He suggests and I shrug.

He had a point. It wouldn't hurt to give her options. A sales clerk walks by us and I quickly get her attention. When she turns to us I watch her eyes rake over us both and I turn to Rowan with a raised brow. I'm a little surprised by how obvious she's being about it. When she's done examining us, she steps closer and looks at me with a flirty smile.

"How can I help you?" She asks in such a way that her words have a double meaning and by the smirk, she's sporting that was exactly her intention.

"We wanted to purchase this tablet and the drawing pencil that it goes with and also that eReader," I say in a calm flat way that should hint that I'm not affected by her flirting.

"Of course! Is there anything else I can help you with?" She moves a little closer and I feel slightly panicked.

I can't make a scene but she is not stopping and that can become a problem. Of course the moment he is about to reach out a rest her hand on my arm, Luna walks over with the others. Declan, Kai, and Milo eye me and the girl with confusion but Luna simply looks at the girl. She doesn't seem upset at the sight of some random girl coming on to me and I feel a big sense of relief.

This isn't the first time a girl has tried to come on to me or any of the others and it won't be the last. Unfortunately, it's common in our line of work, but I admit I was worried how that would all work now that we have Luna.

When the girl notices the others her attention snaps to Luna and her flirty expression falls to a bit of a sneer. The guy who had been helping Luna comes to join the group and seems to notice the uncomfortable situation we were suddenly in.

"Mary their order is all together, so let's go get everything together." He says as he gently pulls her away. "We'll have everything ready at the register just come find me when you're ready to go."

"We will, thank you," I say with an appreciative nod.

As he pulls the girl away I can hear him scolding her in low whispers.

I cautiously turn my attention to Luna half expecting her to look annoyed or angry but again there is nothing. She glances at me and then at the others and I chuckle at the sudden wide-eyed confusion that flashes across her face.

She signs something and Milo lets out a short chuckle before responding.

"She asked why we're all looking at her." He says, his voice giving off a hint of amusement.

Any worries I had fallen away instantly. Luna didn't care that some girl was looking at me, and that made her the most amazing woman I have ever met. Unlike us jealous bastards, she seemed unfazed at us being ogled by other women. I just shake my head and pull her into a hug that she quickly responds to by wrapping her arms around my waist.

"Alright, let's get out of here," Declan says before turning and stalking toward the back of the store.

I loosen my hold on Luna and settle on holding her hand and we all head for the counter to pay for all the things we picked out for Luna. When we stop in front of the guy who had been talking to Luna earlier he gives us a wide smile.

"Will this be everything for you guys today?" He asks.

"Yes," Rowan replies stepping forward and pulling out his wallet.

I try to position Luna in a way that she won't be able to see all the other things we picked out for her. As the guy bags our stuff I notice that someone had picked out a colorful phone case and a purple band for her new smartwatch. I look over at Kai and he shrugs.

After we are finished paying Rowan takes the bag and immediately pulls Luna's new phone out and hands it over to Kai to set up.

"Okay, now where do we go?" I ask.

"Girls like shopping for clothes, and she doesn't have much so let's hit a clothing store next," Milo suggests.

I nod in agreement and take Luna's hand in mine and lead her out of the store.

We are about to spoil her even more and no amount of objecting will get her out of accepting every item we buy. She deserves the best of everything and we are going to make sure she gets it.
