Chapter 66

**Luna**

I love being wrapped up in Kai's arms while we watch another movie. It makes me wonder though if this is what they normally do when they aren't recording. As much as I love to cuddle up with them like this I also don't want to keep them from their work. That thought has me reaching out for Milo who has moved to sit on the floor next to where I'm sitting on Kai's lap.

He turns to me as soon as he feels me. "*Don't you guys have to work right now?*" I sign.

"*We go back to the studio the day after tomorrow.*" He signs back and I feel some relief.

This is going to be an adjustment for all of us, but I don't my being here causing them any trouble with their music.

Another movie down and my eyes start to get heavy again. I don't remember ever feeling so tired, but I guess that it's to be expected after what happened to me at the mall.

I'm not sure when or how long I have been sleeping when I feel myself being carried. My eyes split open just enough to see the hallway leading to my next in front of me, and Kai's scent around me. His scent is bright and playful and brings a smile to my face. I close my eyes again and don't open them until I feel the soft warmth of my nest beneath me.

A pang of anxiety runs through me that I am going to be left alone again tonight, but then I feel the movement of someone climbing onto the nest with me. The deep scent tells me it's Declan and I'm proven more right when he wraps his large arms around me from behind. A deep feeling of contentment rushes over me from his touch and a feeling of safety from the strength. I'm surprised when someone else climbs into the nest with me and I open my eyes to see Kai looking back at me.

He gives me a sweet smile that I am quick to return and without thinking I reach out and gently brush my fingers against his smooth jaw. His eyes flutter closed at my touch and I feel him release a shaky breath against the sensitive skin of my wrist. Before I pull away he turns and places a soft kiss there and it causes a shiver to run through me. Behind me, I feel Declan's chest vibrate and it only makes the effect of Kai's kiss more intense. I squeeze my eyes shut and try to calm myself down so that I don't start anything I'm not sure I'm ready for. Two alphas at once? Yeah, I'm not sure when or if I would be ready for that.

Kai's hand over mine has me opening my eyes and I am captured by the deep chocolate brown eyes looking back at me. That usual teasing look Kai always has is gone now and replaced with a more intense expression. His eyes move as he takes me in but stop on my lips and my heart rate jumps. Does he want to kiss me? I find myself glancing down at his lips as well and wondering how they would feel against mine.

I didn't have time to imagine because a second later his lips brush against mine. It's a gentle touch and nothing more but I feel it all the way to my toes. He smiles at me and then leans forward to leave a kiss on my forehead before moving closer to me and closing his eyes. My heart is still racing as I watch him drift off to sleep.

Being sandwiched between Declan and Kai feels like heaven and It doesn't take long for me to finally drift off to sleep.

That ends up being the best night's sleep I have ever had.



**Kai**

I don't think I have ever slept so well. Luna's scent was so thick and rich that I fell asleep in minutes. Then when I finally woke she is the first thing I saw. Her long dark lashes brush against her high cheeks and her soft pink lips are parted just slightly. Some of her golden hair has fallen around her face and as the sun rises and peaks over Decal's shoulder it causes strands of her hair to sparkle.

She is breathtaking. Easily the most beautiful girl I have ever seen.

Sure the women who throw themselves at us after concerts are nice looking but they try so hard to be noticed that it diminishes their beauty. Still, none of them can compare to Luna in a million years.

"Are you awake?" I hear Declan grumble from the other side of Luna.

"Yeah," I say quietly but I keep my focus on my girl.

"We should get up," Declan says but he makes no move to do so and neither do I.

"Yeah, we should. We can take her to that Omega store today." I offer and he grumbles something I can't understand with his face buried in Luna's hair.

"She smells like heaven." He says and I chuckle.

She really does. Warm honey but with a slight floral scent as well. It's addicting which is why I move closer to her and try and catch as much of her scent as possible.

"I'll go and start getting breakfast started. You can take my place." Declan says and I don't have to be told twice.

I get to my feet and wait at the end of the bed for the big guy to extricate himself from Luna. It's slow going but once he is successfully off the nest he leans down and kisses the top of Luna's head before heading for the door. Luna whimpers slightly and rolls onto her back. I quickly climb back into the nest and as soon as I'm settled she gravitates to me and snuggles against my chest. She shifts a little so that her face is buried in the crook of my neck and releases a content sound.

We lay like this for a few minutes until the door to the nest opens and Milo strolls in.

"How did she sleep?" He asks.

"Good as far as I can tell but I was out pretty fast. Where's everyone else?" I ask him.

He moves closer and sits on the other side of us and looks down at Luna's sleeping form.

"Declan and Bennett are getting breakfast ready and Rowan is on the phone with our manager. They want some final thoughts on the stage setup. We will need to go and see it before the tour to make sure everything looks right." He says and I watch as he reaches out and brushes his fingers through a small section of Luna's hair.

It's strange to watch him interact with her. Milo is always cool and collected and he never touches anyone if he can help it. The guy almost never smiles! Then Luna came and now I see a softness in him that is both strange and welcome. None of us are easy people to get along with and come with our own heavy pasts but Milo and Declan are the toughest to break through to. Even with us, there is a sense of reserve.

"Do you want to climb in and I can run and shower?" I offer him and only then did his eyes lift from Luna to look at me.

There is a second of hesitation in his face but I saw his jaw clenching slightly and that was answer enough for me. I shifted slightly and brushed a kiss across luna's forehead before slowly moving away from her. She only moved slightly but Milo was there on the other side of her to pull her away the second I was free from her side. She didn't seem to even notice the change in bed partners and snuggled in close to Milo instantly.

I moved as quietly as I could to the door and stopped to get one last look at my girl. Milo's eyes were shut as he rested his chin on top of her head and I smiled at the sight of his calm features. He has been like a brother to me and knowing his story and seeing how peaceful he seems with Luna makes it even more clear that Luna was meant to be here with us.

Closing the door behind me I turned and headed for the bathroom that I shared with Bennett. Luna's scent was clinging to me and I loved how it complimented my own but if we are going to be out it would be best not to amplify her scent to the world. Rowan had sent a message through the group chat that we should have Luna use her neutralizing products today before we leave the house again.

I had also placed similar products in all of our bathrooms as a precaution. We needed to be a lot more careful now.
