Chapter 47

“Okay, well that’s all the questions we have for you guys. Marie, what does Luna think?” Ben asks the woman beside him

The woman, who I'm guessing is Luna's mom, turns to us with a smile. “She said she would like to move to the next step.”

I swear my heart was about to leap from my chest. My eyes moved over to Luna and her eyes meet mine sending a shiver through my body. She gives me a soft smile but I notice a slight pink blush at the tips of her ears.

She wants to move to the next step? That means she is seriously considering us.

“Really? Wow, that’s great. What do we need to do to prepare for the next meeting?” Bennett asks.

“Well, the next step is for Luna to see where she will be living if she officially decides on your pack. She will need a few special accommodations for her condition. Things like lights for doorbells or when a door is opened. It helps a lot to have things like that so she knows when someone comes into a room. She has a cellphone that has some special features but we have been thinking of getting her one of those smartwatches as well.” Marie says.

A smartwatch? That could be our courting gift. I look to Bennett and he gives me a look that says we’re thinking the same thing.

“None of that would be a problem. The only thing is, we will be going on tour soon. Will she mind that?” Bennett asks.

Marie turns to Luna and starts to move her hands and I try to follow the movements even though I'm not sure what any of it means. Luna looks at Bennett and shakes her head before replying to Marie.

“She says she would love that. We haven’t been able to travel much because staying close and in Haven is safer for her.” Marie says. “As long as there is a space for her to set up a nest, she will be fine.”

A nest. We had some special plans for our tour. Instead of going in a giant bus we bought these old VW buses and had them completely restored. One for each of us. We also got little matching trailers we can pull with them. It wasn’t the typical way to travel on tour but now I think it’s a great idea. One of our trailers would make a perfect nest for Luna.

“No problem,” Bennett says.

I decide to follow Declan’s lead and write out a question for Luna on the pad of paper in front of me.

When would you like to come to see the tour buses? I ask.

I passed the pad to her and her eyes lift to mine with clear excitement. She scribbles down a reply and I laugh a little at her enthusiasm.

"*Tomorrow?*" She asks and I smile to myself.

"*Of course!*" I write back and her smile nearly takes my breath away.

She is beautiful and I don’t think I could have ever considered another Omega fitting us better. Her scent had me trapped the second I entered the room. She didn’t only look as soft and warm as honey but she smelled like it too.

Honey and lilac.

“She would like to come to check out the buses tomorrow,” I say quietly to Bennett.

His smile is almost blinding. “That would be great. We would love for her to come to visit us tomorrow and see everything. What time would work for you guys?”

“Luna teaches a small class for some of the others here to learn sign in the mornings until around one. So sometime after that would be perfect.” Marie says.

“That works out fine. I’ll give you the address and we’ll be ready.” Bennett says before we all stand and say our goodbyes.

Luna shakes all of our hands and when I reach her I lift her hand and place a kiss on the top. I smile when her face flushes but I couldn’t help myself, her skin is so soft.

When the guys and I climb back into the SUV we are all completely silent.

“She liked us,” I say finally breaking the silence.

Bennett lets out a laugh that sounds a lot like one of relief. “She liked us.”

“She’s the one,” Declan says and we all look at him with various expressions of shock.

He was against all of this before we walked into Haven and now he's the one that is sure Luna is the Omega for us. I agree that she is but I never expected him to be on the same page.

“We need to buy things to prepare a nest,” Milo says as his fingers fly against his phone.

The guy never puts the thing down.

“There’s a store not far from here that has everything we’ll need.” He says before leaning forward and typing the address into the car’s GPS.

I take my phone out too and start looking up ideas of how to arrange a decorate a nest. Some of them were pretty elaborate, but Luna didn’t seem to be the kind of person who would want anything super fancy. Comfort seems to be the better way to go. I also pick out the best smartwatch I can find and place an order for it to be delivered in the next day or two.

“We should bring all the buses to the studio so she can get a look at what we'll be using during the tour,” Rowan says.

“Which trailer should we set up the nest in?” I ask.

“She can have mine. I don’t need much space, so the bus should be big enough for me.” Declan says and I give Bennett a knowing look through the rear-view mirror.

Luna already had the big guy wrapped around her dainty little fingers.

The drive to the shop Milo found was short and soon we were all climbing out of the car again.

“Nestled. Fitting.” Rowan says reading out the name of the store as we head inside.

As soon as we walk in I'm overwhelmed by the size. They seem to have everything an Omega could possibly want.

“Maybe we should split up,” Bennett suggests and I have to agree.

We could be here all night if we don’t.

“I found a nest idea that I think she’ll like. I’ll send you a picture and we can get stuff that’s similar." I say quickly sending the photo to the group chat.

“I have a list of things she’ll need as well. Bathroom supplies and things like that.” Milo says.

My phone pings and the list pops up under the photo I sent.

“Alright men. Move out!” Bennett says and we all break off.

I decide I want to shop for shampoos and bath items. We would stop at a couple of hotels during our tour and some bath bombs would be great for that. The trailer has a small shower but I’m sure a nice bath would make her happy when we can find one.

There is a huge selection of bath bombs and soaps all along the right side of the store. I take the time to smell each bath bomb and I find a few that smell just like Luna. One that’s called ‘Milk and Honey’ smells the best so I grab a few of those. I stop in front of a body wash that is scentless. I grab it and read over the back to find it’s to helps wash away any unwanted scents from an Omega.

The idea of Luna being near another Alpha to the point of smelling like them makes a low growl escape my mouth. Thankfully no one is around to hear it but I’m still ashamed of the reaction. I have worked hard to get a handle on my aggression, but I’m sure with Luna around that control is going to be tested.

I grab the body wash anyway and add it to the full basket I’ve been carrying. Further down the aisle, I see things that are supposed to help lessen the symptoms of an Omega’s heat. Things like special blankets that help keep their bodies cool and some more stuff I've never heard of before.

I move past to find one of the guys and see if they have space in their cart for all my stuff.

By the time we leave, we have four carts full of stuff to load into the trunk.

Our Omega will have everything she could ever want. Exactly the way she should. We may not be as rich as some of the other packs she met but we plan to spoil her the best we can.

The drive back home was torture. I couldn’t wait to get to work on Luna’s nest and neither could the others by the way everyone was fidgeting.

As soon as we pull in we unload everything and get to work. It’s kind of funny watching four big guys carry and arrange fluffy blankets and pillows inside Declan’s trailer.

“We should all pick a blanket to sleep on tonight as well,” Milo says grabbing one for himself.

“Why?” Rowan asks.

“So she’ll have something with each of our scents on them,” Milo explains and we all quickly grab a blanket for ourselves.

Once the nest is done we step back and admire our work. The nest looks crazy comfortable and I only hope it will be enough to show Luna how much we want her with us.

“Get some rest guys. We have a recording meeting tomorrow morning before Luna meets us at the studio." Bennett reminds us.

We lock up the trailer for the night and shuffle inside.

I dream about Luna snuggling up to me that night.
