Chapter 49
**Milo**
I can’t tear my eyes from Luna. She’s easily the most carefree and beautiful girl I have ever seen. Today she’s wearing a flowing green skirt and her hair is half up and half down with her long wavy hair falling down her back. Her white converse adding contrast to all the colors.
Declan has just opened the trailer to show her the nest and I can tell right away that she loves it. She seems scared to touch anything though and stays rooted a short distance away. I want her to go inside and try it out but I also don’t want to be too pushy. I did a lot of research last night about how to handle any possible situation regarding Omegas. I want to make sure we treat her exactly as she should be treated.
She seems to feel that intense connection that we are all feeling to her. She hasn’t pulled away from any of the guys touching her which is a great sign. Her mom has looked like she is about to cry every time Luna welcomes any of our advances. I’m glad our tattoos and stuff hadn’t scared her into thinking we weren’t a safe fit for Luna. On the contrary, she seems happy to let Luna decide.
I step up next to her and clear my throat to get her attention. “Is there anything else we could do to make the decision easier for her?”
She lets out a small laugh. “Luna is an angel. She never asks for anything if she doesn’t absolutely need it. She puts everyone before herself before she asks for something she wants. You guys will probably have to be a little pushy about spoiling her, she isn’t used to it.”
“We’re ready to give her anything she needs,” I assure her.
“Just be there with her. That will mean more to her than anything you can buy.” She pauses for a second and then lets out a long breath. “Her father was an Alpha. He left us right after she was born when he met his pack. It’s been just me and her all this time. She and Bailey hit it off right away and we’re basically sisters. Now Ben, Bailey’s dad, and I are planning on getting married. I think she feels like she will have no one left, and has accepted that fact. She only agreed to these interviews for my sake. She wants to set me free so I can start a new life.”
I feel a pain in my chest that Luna doesn’t feel wanted by anyone. Even though I know her mom loves her just by the way she watches and speaks about her, Luna feels alone.
She’ll never be alone again. We want her.
“I probably shouldn’t tell you this but she told me last night that she wants to pick you guys. I haven’t seen her smile like she did when she told me her decision.” I look at her slightly shocked.
From how Luna was acting I hoped as much but to hear that she had already told her mom she was choosing us is amazing.
Marie turns to me and gives me a stern look. “Luna is ashamed of her condition and will try really hard to not make it inconvenient for you guys. It will be up to you guys to show her that being deaf isn’t a bad thing. She can’t hear sweet words and promises. You have to show her.”
I nod in understanding.
“I packed all her things this morning when she was teaching her class and snuck everything into the trunk before we left. If she wants to, she can move in with you guys right away.” She says turning her attention to Luna again.
“We would like that,” I say simply and she nods.
“Good.”
We both fall silent and watch Luna explore the nest finally. My heart swells when she lifts the blanket with my scent on it to her face and takes in a deep breath. I wonder if she knows…
Her eyes lift to me and her eyes are wide in wonder. I guess she recognized my scent after all. I hope she likes it.
The guys show Luna the rest of the buses and how we converted the insides into little mini housing like you see people doing nowadays. You know with beds and even small kitchens inside. They also show her the small shower in her trailer. Her eyes travel over everything with a look of fascination.
When she has seen everything there is a moment where we are all standing around not really sure what to do next.
Luna looks to her mom and starts to sign.
Her mom laughs. “She says that she loves the nest and the buses are beautiful.”
She pauses I think to leave us in anticipation.
“She also said she would love to be part of your pack.” All our heads snap to Luna who is now biting her lower lip and blushing a little at the attention.
In the typical Kai way, he rushes toward her and picks her up, and twirls her around. She isn’t able to stop the surprised giggle that comes from the sudden action and I’m glad because the sound is adorable.
Kai sets Luna down after a few spins and steps back to let the others each have a turn pulling our Omega in for a welcoming hug. When I’m the only one left she gives me a shy smile and I can’t help but smirk at her.
How can she be this cute?
I step up to her and reach my hand out. My hand is itching to touch her skin. I have been wondering all day if she feels as soft as she looks. My finger brushes against her cheek and she takes in a quick breath and locks her eyes with mine. Her skin is unbelievably soft her thick honey scent hits me strongly. I have to swallow down a purr at the feeling of us being so close. My fingers dance along her cheek until my hand cups the side of her face.
My body seems to be moving on its own until I leave a gentle kiss on her forehead. She sighs and rests her head against my chest.
She is the only girl I have ever touched like this. I am not like my bandmates. I never hooked up with groupies or had a one-night stand. There was never an urge to be close to anyone really until now. My bandmates are well aware of this, so their looks of shock are expected and slightly comical.
I don’t let her go through, instead, I pull her into my side in a sudden wave of possessiveness.
“Her mom brought all her things. We can put them in my trailer for now until we get home and can organize everything.” I say and the guys turn to follow Marie back to her car.
I take this chance to show Luna that Kai isn’t the only one who’s been learning sign.
“*Thank you.*” I sign to Luna.
She smiles wide at me before signing, “*Thank you.*”
“*Let’s go*.” I sign and she nods.
I keep my arm around her and follow the guys out of the garage.
Now I’m wondering how well my photographic memory will help me learn to sign as quickly as possible. I am not going to let Luna feel unable to communicate with us. The rest of the guys will also need to learn to sign, I’ll make sure they do.
