Chapter 34

I pulled out the chair for her, she looked down at her feet, cheeks red, and thanked me quietly. Everytime she would get up I made sure to pull her chair out before she got back.

We were both waiting on our appetizers while the wine was being brought out.

After pushing her closer to the table I leaned down and placed my hands on both of her shoulders, and giving them a squeeze. "You can thank me later.."

The sparks I felt under my hands was all I needed to know that just about anything I said turned her on.

"Were you always this hot for, Ryan?" I whispered into her ear in a teasing manor. I lifted her head up to look at me, I couldn't be more happy than I was when I was around her.

Brooklyn shook her head, I smirked and went around the table and got in my own seat.

"You seen how much effort it took for Ryan to be around me without me wanting to cut his balls off." I chuckled, yes I seen the years of hurt on her face when he came around, but I was talking about before.

"I meant while you both were still together, Brooke." I smiled at the waitress who poured the wine in our glasses.

I averted my eyes when she leaned down to put the bottle back in the bucket, she had her boobs poking out of her top, I watched her before she came over and saw her loose her top button.

She was a werewolf, that much was clear. I could smell it on her, along with her arousal. "Thank you, Penny that will be it." I looked to Brooklyn who was faking being nice to the woman.

"Oh grow up...I can look at whoever I want. It's not like he's yours to claim just because he's on a date with you." The waitress was also wearing a fake smile on her face as she talked to Brooklyn.

I looked between the two women, I wonder why they don't like each other. The waitress turned her attention back to me and gave a flirtatious smile. "I'll be right back with your appetizers!" She winked at me then walked off.

"So..." I picked up my wine and swirled it around. "History?" I asked Brooklyn.

"Perhaps now isn't the best time to say anything." Brooklyn's gaze was on the woman who just walked away from our table.

"Are you sure? I could always go ask her why you don't like her?" Her eyes instantly snapped to mine. Her wolf was snarling in her head, but I remained curious as I continued to tease her.

"One foot in her direction and you both are dead!" I could tell by her eyes that she wasn't joking. Zena was a vicious predator when it came to people she cared about.

"As much as I'd love to see you tear her throat out, I have to know why that is!" My smirk only grew as she averted her eyes and took a huge gulp of her wine.

"Remember the story of how my siblings and cousins all found out what Ryan was doing?" She asked me, her eyes back on Penny's back.

I cleared my throat with a nod. "She was the woman who he fucked while I was locked in the basement." She finished her glass and reached forward grabbing the bottle.

"Drop it, and come here!" I growled at her. The wine slipped from her fingers and fell back into it's ice bath. I leaned back in my seat and dared her to ignore me. I patted my lap urging her to come to me.

"Daddy asked you to bring your sexy ass over here and sit.." I pointed to my lap with my head and Brooklyn's cheeks got really red. I looked over to see Penny making her way back over to us with a tray in her hand. "I won't ask again!"

I heard her sigh and get up from her seat, her heals on the floor made my smile return when I saw them on the floor next to my seat. Her hands were on her hips as she looked at me with her eyebrow raised. I gripped her hip in a firm hold and pulled her down on my lap, her back to my front.

"I only want you, not that harlot!" I murmer into her ear. I nipped her ear making her whimper. I fixed our position so her bottom half wasn't seen by the other diners or staff.

I purposely placed my hand on her lower stomach, she shuffled some but with me holding her still on my lap, so she didn't move much.

"Stay still, just close your eyes." Brooklyn nodded her head then let it rest on my chest. I removed my hand and she turned so she was both laying and sitting on my lap.

Dishes landed on the table. I looked up to piercing blue eyes, Penny placed my appetizer down, I saw nothing wrong with the food, I then happen to see something sticking out of the end of one of Brooklyn's mozzarella sticks.

"Miss, what is that?" I asked the overly polite waitress. She looked down at the food on the plate and gasped in shock when she seen what I was talking about.

Her shock was very fake, even a blind person could see it.

"Oh wow, must have gotten mixed in with another plate." Penny stared at the cheese stick without a worry that she just tried to give another woman that. A damn pack member. If Brooklyn wasn't magical it could have hurt her, or perhaps kill her depending on the potency.

"Are you stupid?" I asked her, Brooklyn lifted her head and looked over at the plate.

She rolled her eyes at the poor attempt that she made.

"It wouldn't be the last time!" Brooklyn reached over and grabbed the mozzarella stick from Penny. Her nose scrunched up at the smell of it, she looked her dead in the eyes and ate it anyways.

"Brooke, that's wolfsbane!" I took the peice she didn't eat from her hand.

She may have looked fine to the woman who was watching her, but I could feel the irritation in her mouth and throat as she she ate the poison.

"I'll get your job for that!" I went to get up from my seat with Brooklyn, but she placed her hand on my chest as she laid her head back down. "Scott the owner is human, just forget it."

I glared at the woman, she cowered and placed the plate down before quickly leaving us. I rubbed her arm and sighed heavily. "What was your plan there?" I asked her then kissed her forhead.

"She is the oldest daughter of our Beta! Penelope, has always envied my relationships. I had a boyfriend in high school before I met, Ryan," she looked up at me. "I found them in the bathroom after school, both naked and just," she made a disgusted look. "it was gross if I'm honest. Boys dirty bathroom, plus a heavy male like Vinny, I'm just glad I never slept with him."

I chuckled and she smiled at me. "As much as I appreciate the dinner, can we get it to go?" She asked me and as much as I wanted to tell her no,  I nodded my head.

"I'm gonna go to the restroom before we leave." Brooklyn got up, I grabbed her hand before she walked away and brought it up to my lips then kissed it.

I let her hand go and watched her as she walked away from me, my eyes fixated on her plump ass in that skirt she was wearing, this one was tighter than the one she had on earlier, this one showed off her curves.

Someone with an apron on stopped in front of me, blockimg my view of Brooklyn's retreating figure. I growled and looked up at the person.

Penny stood there, her brests still out and what she must think is a sultry look. "Can I offer you anything else?" She asked me as she let her eyes move all over me.

"Just the check!" I looked away from her, so I never seen her hand as it moved down to touch my thigh.

"Ma'am, remove your hand from my person or you won't like my response." I told her coldly. Her hand however remained where it was. She even thought it would be smart to find my lap, her new chair.

No sorry she wasn't my mate, this seat is reserved for Brooklyn only.

My cold gaze went back to her, and over her shoukder i coukd see Brooklyn coming back from the restroom.

I smirked and just waited for her to notice the trollope sitting in my lap.

"Scott! That sounds like a strong name!" Penny said, she was enjoying the fact that I hadn't pushed her off of me. She thought I was gonna be like the other men she used to get under Brooklyn's skin. But I would never do that to her.

I merily nodded my head, not really paying her any mind. Brooklyn's eyes found mine then they went to the blonde.

I waited for her to blow up at her but she gave me a wink before she turned and stopped the waiter who was walking by. He couldn't be no more than 18 atleast. He wore glasses and had a head of messy dark blonde curls.

She asked him something, the boy looked like he was blushing as he answered her question. He was wearing a shy smile as he looked down at his feet.

Brooklyn looked back at me, her eyes sparkled with amusement. She giggled and the young boy looked up at her. The hand I had on the arm of the chair tightened when she leaned up and kissed his cheek, then walked away from him and out of my line of sight.

I pushed the woman off my lap and got up. I threw more than enough money on the table and walked away from her. I couldn't help the glare I gave the young man as I walked past him, he instantly looked down when he noticed.

I followed her scent, it led me outside, but not in the direction my my truck, she went over to the alleyway.

Getting to the alley I spotted her leaning up against the wall of the restaurant.

"Are you trying to make me kill that kid?" I asked her, she only giggled at me. I knew she did that just to see how far I would go, she also did it to get back at me for allowing Penny to sit on me.

Oh please, Bobby is the sweetest Omega in hundreds of miles." She waved her hand at me. Oh so she knew his name too?

"Bobby?" I asked her taking another step towards her. She smirked over at me while nodding her head. "I used to babysit him while his parents were working."

"So there's a chance that he has a crush on you?" I said stepping closer. She moved away from me and giggled at what I said. "Probably, but as I said. He's an angel!"

"You say that because you know him." I playfully narrowed my eyes at her. She looked at me and smiled sweetly. "Maybe, but I've seen him defend me when I didn't think anybody would."

My eyes widened a little. That shy teenager actually had a backbone? "How so?"

She pushed herself off the wall and came over to me. "Penny is his older sister, but so is Felicity. I'm not sure if I said she was Beta born or not." She smiled lightly "anyways when he found out about Ryan and Penny, my mom said that he blew up on her..." She sighed and wrapped her arms around my waist.

"My mom knew about Felicity before I did, but I knew about Penny. I just chose not to say anything about it." She mumbled, I ran my hand up her back in a soothing manor. "Ive only seen him do that to my brothers when he overheard them teasing me...can't tell you what they were messing with me about but he felt he had to defend me.." She smiled up at me.

"But I want to forget I even seen her tonight, let's go to the lake behind the cottage you were staying in." I felt her hands dig into my pockets for the keys to my truck. When she smiled and held them up with her finger I ripped secured her in my arms before she could dash to the truck.

"You want to leave?" I asked her walking her over to the wall of the building. I turned her so she faced the brick wall, "I would like my dinner first.."

"You can wait until we're somewhere nobody can see us." She placed her hands in front of her as I pushed her closer to it.
