Chapter Fifteen
Dorian POV
I approached the platform, surveying the packed room with a firm stare. The sense of excitement was tangible as press members from around the globe eagerly awaited my statement.
I started by saying, "Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen," my voice unmistakable and sure. "Thank you for being with me today." As all of you know, recent occurrences have resulted in a shift in leadership at Dorian Corporation. "I am currently in charge, and I want to confirm that our dedication to innovation and excellence remains unchanged."
The room buzzed with the sound of cameras snapping and people whispering, but I remained focused on the crowd ahead of me without pausing.
"Today, I am here to announce the start of a fresh era in our company's history."
I entered the room and was met with a barrage of questions and exclamations, but I silenced the chaos by raising my hands.
We believe that this choice will not only improve our market standing but also present opportunities for growth and expansion. We are committed to transparency and accountability, and we invite the community to participate in shaping our future.
I stopped to look around the room with feelings of satisfaction and determination.
Dorian Corporation is entering a new era and excited to announce it globally. "Gratitude for your expression of gratitude."
Chaos once again filled the room, but I smiled, aware that this marked the start of a thrilling new era for our company.
I slammed the door shut behind Rachel and turned to face Aria, my expression stern. "Aria, we need to talk about Natalie."
Aria's eyes narrowed, her voice laced with defiance. "What about her?"
I took a step closer, my anger simmering. "I don't think putting her in prison was the right move. She didn't destroy the company, Aria. You know that."
Aria's face twisted in a bitter smile. "I did it for Tristan. I did it because she was a threat to his future, to his happiness."
My anger boiled over. "You did it because you're obsessed with Tristan, because you'll do anything to keep him by your side. But Natalie was innocent, Aria. She didn't deserve to be punished for your own twisted desires."
Aria's eyes flashed with anger, but I continued, my voice relentless. "You're using your power and influence to manipulate and control those around you. It's not right, Aria.I refuse to tolerate it.
We stood facing each other, tension saturating the air, eyes locked in intense gaze. I realized I had gone too far, but I was determined not to give in. Aria's hold on her hidden information was beginning to loosen, and I was resolved to uncover the reality.
Inhaling deeply, I spoke with a strong and determined tone. "Aria, our agreement is cancelled. You can keep Tristan, but I refuse to participate in your games any longer.
Aria's face twisted with anger, her eyes aflame with wrath. Dorian, you are not allowed to do that! I deserve payment from you! "You stripped Tristan of all his possessions, and now you're simply going to desert him?"
I shrugged, my face showing no sign of giving in. Aria, I don't have any obligations to you. I'm not interested in your fixation on Tristan. "He's in a better situation without you."
Aria let out a piercing scream. "You are completely clueless about what you are doing!" You're destroying all you touch! Tristan will always hold a grudge against you for this!
I faced in the opposite direction, turning my back towards her. I have finished, Aria. Our business relationship has ended. "You are no longer able to control me."
Aria's words were filled with poisonous anger. Dorian , this is far from being finished. There will be repercussions. "You will feel sorry for challenging me."
I remained unfazed, speaking with a cold and indifferent tone. Aria, I'm not scared of you. Give it your best shot."
The oppressive silence that ensued made the palpable tension between us even more noticeable. I was aware that I had created a formidable foe, yet I was not willing to retreat. I had finished playing Aria's games, and I was prepared to confront whatever came after.
I sat back in my seat, my gaze fixed on Aria. Aria, you're engaging in a risky activity. Be cautious about what you wish for, as you could easily find yourself in a situation similar to Tristan's.
Aria had a calculating and cold smile. All I can do is observe as you attempt to defeat me, Dorian. However, I am not Tristan. Do you recall that I am the person who created you?
I arched my brow, my tone dripping with sarcasm. "Oh, certainly, I recall." You are the one who controlled me, making me do what you wanted. I am no longer that puppet, Aria. I'm the one in control now."
Aria's anger sparked in her eyes, yet she maintained a steady tone. "Let's wait and see, Dorian. But keep in mind, I possess your confidential information. And I'm not scared to utilize them.
Leaning forward, my gaze burned with intensity. Aria, you may hold secrets, but remember that I wield the power. I will do whatever it takes to preserve it.
I got to my feet, keeping my gaze fixed on Aria. "Aria, this conversation still has a long way to go." However, at this moment, I have more urgent issues to deal with.
Rachel stood at the doorway, her gaze shifting back and forth from Aria to me. Dorian, you have an appointment with an investor in 60 minutes. "Can I give you a quick explanation of the route?"
I nodded, my thoughts were already changing direction. "Yes, we should definitely go."
Aria's voice halted me as I was about to leave. Dorian, don't settle into that chair too much. Tristan will soon be returning to lead this company once again. Once he arrives, you will be the one excluded and left without warmth.
I looked at her again, my smile lacking warmth and full of careful thought. We will find out, Aria. However, for now, I am the one making the decisions.
Turning away, I left Aria's poisonous words lingering in the air. However, I was aware that she was incorrect. I was the one in charge now, and I wouldn't allow anyone to strip me of that power. Tristan didn't even.
