Chapter Twenty Four

We slept off while cuddling each other after the whole Mavka's shenanigans, I still can't believe that she could try to do such a thing to me, the only thing that's still baffling me is why on earth will she try to make me lose her memory. Who's the mastermind behind her actions? Why did the person want me to lose my memory? Could that person be someone close to me? I was scared and worried but I don't even want to talk about this issue with anyone, not even my friends cause I don't know who the mastermind is.

So, Tristan told me to keep it a secret between us, since the mastermind can be anyone. I don't know why but the only suspect on my mind is my dad but Tristan assured me that he'll never go as far as trying to hurt me, I was tempted to tell him about how he raped me countless times but I kept shut.

The other maids excluding Ruby were fired because he said that they might also be her accomplices.

"You look so beautiful, madam. And I'm sure that your husband won't be able to take his eyes off you or let you leave his gaze at the party" one of the hair stylists and make-up artists that I called to come prep me up for the party complimented me.

"Awwn, I'm blushing" I giggled as I laughed while posing for the pictures Ruby is taking of me. I can't wait to see Tristan's expression when he sees me in the business meeting, I just hope that he won't take his secretary along like I suggested.

"Thanks for your patronage and generous tip, Mrs Anthony. We'll leave now, please don't forget to contact us next time you need someone to prep you up. You know that we're always here for you, a real definition of queen and more" another lady said while I just blushed as they walked out of my room with Ruby.

"Madam! The business meeting has started already, I saw the boss on the television, it seems like he's hoping that you'll show up cause he's alone" Ruby told me as she entered my room and I smiled before walking out of my room.

It's time to show them who the wife of Tristan Anthony is! I know that I've always looked breathtaking but I intentionally made myself look more than breathtaking today. In short, I look so drop dead gorgeous like a goddess! The white long gown on me was giving the vibe of a saint but there's nothing saint about the dress, I looked like a good sin in the dress!

The white long gown is sleeveless, backless and it has a slit from my thigh region downward. It was showing my back, arm, leg and the shape of my body cause it was fucking tight to the extent that Ruby was scared that I might not be able to breathe well but it was not restricting my air flow, and I loved the way it was showing so much flesh but I'm not sure that Tristan will like it.

The dress looked like it's my second skin, due to the way it fitted me so perfectly and at the right angles. I stared at my reflection for the last time on my phone and I smiled, feeling pleased with what I saw, before entering the car.

I sat down in front of my television, on the floor with my eyes glued to the television and my hand and mouth was working. I was eating spaghetti sauce and pineapple. It tasted so yummy that I was rushing it as if someone would steal it from me if I didn't eat it hurriedly.

"Or should I just go? I can't disappoint him by standing him up in the party after assuring him that I'll be there but won't that make him think that I'm cheap. After all, all we had was just a one night stand. Gosh! I'm so confused, I don't know what to do '' she groaned as she stared at Craig, who kept on checking his wristwatch and the door countless times while trying to call someone. She stared at her phone that was ringing on the couch and she knew that he's the one who's calling her but she just kept on watching the program and woke up stuffing her mouth with more food.

"Guess what I got for you?" She suddenly heard Susan's voice as she opened her door and stepped in.

"Susan, you came. What about your date?" I asked staring at her with a confused but happy gaze.

"I was unable to stop thinking about you, so he told me to go meet you and schedule our date for another day, and have you forgotten that I said that I'll come over here today" she explained while I jumped on her.

"Geez! You're so heavy. It seems like that guy cummed in the right spot for you to be pregnant so soon. Thought you were always on pills" she said as we sat down on the floor while I pushed my food aside and started unpacking the junk she got for me.

"Yeah, that's one of the reasons I'm still baffled, I don't think I'm ready to be a mom tho. It's just..." I muttered as I dug into the pizza.

"So you wanna abort the Innocent child?" She cuts in, staring at me while I keep on eating my pizza not sparing her a glance.

"I can't! I tried to do so secretly when I found out about the baby but I can't do that without the consent of the father, but now I don't think that I'll ever be able to forgive myself if I lose this child. This is my first child and I have decided to keep this child whether he wants the baby or not. I won't abort this child" I replied with a smile as I caressed my flat tummy.

"That's such a nice decision. I still can't believe that there's a baby growing in you already. What are you gonna name the child?" She asked as she stared at my tummy closely, probably trying to see if she'll be able to see my child or something.

"I don't know yet but I won't be the one to name my child, he'll do it" I said.

"His wife is with..." She trailed off as we stared at him walking around to greet some people with his wife trailing behind him innocently while operating her phone.

"He has been calling me since last night but I didn't pick up the call, I guess that he finally decided to call her after I refused to pick his calls" I said with a sad smile.

"Geez! Does this girl wanna kill us? Damn! The body is on fire!!!!" I suddenly screamed as I saw Natalie stepping out of the Mercedes Benz at the entrance of the party, it seemed like all the cameras zoomed in on her.

"Oremi is badder than bad!" Sasha screamed and I laughed as I stared at Natalie on the television feeling like a proud mother who's staring at her daughter who finally became happy and successful after so much hardship.

"I just hope that this happiness on her face will be forever cause I have a strange feeling that something bad is about to happen to her anytime soon" I muttered and Sasha stared at me.

"I'm sure that you're just overthinking. Nothing can stop this happiness in her heart" she assured me.

"Why are you not saying anything again?" She asked only to face me and find me sleeping soundly beside her.

"Gosh! Pregnancy hormones have started acting up" she muttered as she helped me to lie down properly.
