Chapter Sixteen
Tristan POV
I hunched forward at the bar, my glass now devoid of liquid once more. The bartender, a face I recognized, silently poured me another shot. I gulped it down, sensing the heat spreading to my core.
"Tristan, my love, you are going to drown yourself in alcohol."
Aria's voice sliced through my confusion like a sharp blade. I pulled back, my eyes squinting. "Let me be, Aria. "You have caused sufficient harm."
She grinned, her lips a vibrant shade of red and plump. Oh, Tristan. Oh, Tristan. You are very misinformed. "I am attempting to assist you."
I chuckled, a grating noise. Can you assist me? Aria, you have destroyed my life. You have removed the one individual I truly cared for. Natalie belonged to me, and you snatched her from me.
Aria's eyes sparkled, yet she stayed composed. Tristan, Natalie never belonged to you. She served as a way to achieve a goal. "I did what was necessary."
I nodded my head, my sight becoming fuzzy. I'm sorry, Aria. You are wicked. You are a creature. "I will never pardon you for your actions."
Aria's expression contorted, her tone increasing in volume. "Isn't it true that you are still in love with her?" "You're still yearning for that feeble, pathetic girl."
I rose to my feet, my hands balled into fists. "I will forever cherish Natalie, Aria." There is nothing you can say or do to alter that fact. "I will never forgive you for separating her from me."
I remained steady while the room whirled, gazing into Aria's eyes. I was aware that I was intoxicated, but it didn't matter to me. I had to help Aria comprehend. It was necessary for me to make her understand that she had been defeated, that Natalie would forever belong to me.
Aria's eyes flashed with rage while she fought to support me, her hold on my arm growing stronger as we staggered out of the bar. "Let's go, Tristan, we have to leave this place."
However, it had already become too late. I witnessed them, the warriors of Dorian, hiding in the dark, their gazes on us like hunters. Aria also noticed them, quickly lifting her head and her eyes filled with anger.
"Dorian, you scoundrel," she whispered, her voice quiet but menacing. "You will be held accountable for this."
She pulled me along the street, her heels tapping on the sidewalk as we navigated through the crowds. However, Dorian's soldiers were getting closer, their footsteps resonating in our wake.
Aria held her phone, her fingers swiftly typing as she called Dorian's number. "Dorian, you've gone too far," she hissed angrily. "You will feel sorry for this." I will ensure that you compensate.
After a brief pause, she closed the phone angrily, her eyes burning with fury. "We have to leave this place immediately," she snarled, her hold on my arm getting tighter as she pulled me through a dim alley.
We reached the opposite end, panting heavily, as Aria surveyed the road, her eyes fixing on a shiny black car. "Let's go, Tristan," she whispered, pulling me towards the car. "We have to leave this place before Dorian 's men find us."
Natalie POV
I was seated in the chilly, dim prison cell, my thoughts fixated on my beloved Elvis. My infant, my whole world. Moisture gathered in the corners of my eyes as I questioned if I would ever embrace him once more.
I heard footsteps reverberating by my cell, and I glanced up to see the familiar guard holding a phone in the doorway. "He informed Natalie that she had a call in a rough manner."
I felt my heart race as I answered the phone, my voice trembling. "Hey there?"
"Natalie, my darling, it is Dorian ." The smooth sound of his voice gave me chills.
"Dorian, what is it that you desire?" I spit, attempting to control my anger.
"I desire to propose a bargain to you. Agree to marry me, and I will set you free from jail. "You have the freedom to begin a fresh journey with me."
I chuckled, with a sour tone. "Do you believe I would ever agree to marry you? "You are out of touch with reality."
Dorian's tone became icy. "Good, Natalie. But rest assured: I am currently with your child. And I will bring him up to be identical to me. "I will possess him entirely."
I was about to unleash a flood of anger, but the call ended abruptly. My heart was filled with anger and anxiety as I hurled the phone against the wall. My child was born to Dorian. I felt stuck, unable to safeguard him.
The guard smirked at me, his eyes shining with a cruel gleam. You're staying put, Natalie. "You will decay in this place, and I will ensure it happens."
I stared angrily at him, my rage barely contained. "You are relishing this, aren't you? "You're finding pleasure in witnessing my pain."
His voice turned menacing as he took a step closer, speaking in a whisper. Natalie , you have no knowledge of my abilities. You are simply a prisoner, a nobody. I am the one in control.
I felt something break within me. I jumped towards him, landing a flawless kick to his groin. He bent in half, struggling to breathe, while I hovered above him, my anger evident in my eyes.
"I might have powers at this moment," I snarled, "but rest assured, I will take my revenge." When I do, you will be the one in pain.
The guard's face paled in agony as he staggered back, struggling for breath. I stood upright, feeling my chest rise with anger, as he moved back from the cell, his eyes showing a fresh sense of fear. I was aware that I had gained a foe, but I was indifferent. I would go to any lengths to stay alive and eventually regain custody of my child.
