Chapter 60

Natalie POV

I couldn’t believe what had just happened. We’d done it, we’d secured the contract with Felix and Broadway Enterprise. It was a great feeling, I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment all over me as Tristan turned to me with a smile all over his face.

“I can’t lie, you were absolutely brilliant today,” he said, his eyes filled with admiration. “I don’t know what I would have done without you, you’re the best.”

I felt my face blush with excitement as he took my hand in his. “You’re welcome,” I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.

As we left the office, Tristan’s hand still remained on mine, his touch was warming, making me crave him inside of him.

We walked to the car feeling amazed, the tension between us noticeable. I couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation, of possibility.

As we got to the car, Tristan turned to me, his eyes locked on mine, he held my chin and kissed my lip softly, then I began to rub his head, we did that for about five minutes. I could see that he was already hard, and I was damn wet, he loosed his belt and made me rub his dick, he moaned and it was obvious that he was loving it. He stretched his hand to my underwear and he began to finger the hell out of me. I moaned and screamed, I wanted it but this way was too crazy. We worked on ourselves for over ten minutes and we both enjoyed the pleasures.

“You’re so sweet as always, I love it when you moan darling.” He said, his eyes filled with joy.

“Let’s celebrate, just the two of us.”

My heart skipped a beat as I nodded in agreement, my mind racing with different possibilities. What is he up to? What has he planned out?

As we drove deeper into the city, it was already getting dark, I felt a sense of anticipation build inside me. What was going to happen tonight?

And then, just as I thought I couldn’t take it anymore, Tristan’s phone rang, though it was in silence.

He hesitated for a while before answering, his facial expression changing from excitement to a bit of concern.

“What is it?” I asked, my heart sinking.

Tristan’s eyes locked onto mine, his expression serious. “It’s Ryan Porter,” he said, his voice low. “He’s saying we should all meet up. Tonight.”

My heart tripped a beat as I felt a sense of unease. What did he actually want?

And then, just as I was about to ask, Tristan’s car whopped to a halt, throwing me forward.

“What’s wrong?” I cried out, and couldn't say anything.

Tristan’s eyes were fixed on something ahead, his expression ruthless.

“It’s Ryan,” he whispered. He’s standing in the middle of the road. Unfortunately he’s not alone.

I followed Tristan’s gaze, my eyes widening in shock and confusion.

What was going on?

Ryan was actually standing in the middle of the road, but he wasn’t alone. There was someone beside him, surrounded in shadows.

“What’s actually happening?” I whispered to Tristan, my heart racing.

Tristan’s expression wasn’t a good one at all. “I don’t know, but I don’t just like it.” He didn’t say a word, he got out of the car, his eyes fixed on Ryan and the look alike shadow. I thought about it for a moment but decided to follow him.

As we slowly approached, Ryan turned to us, a sly smile written all over his face.

“Ah, Tristan, Natalie. How nice of you to join us.”

The person beside him stepped forward, revealing a woman with piercing black eyes.

“Hello, Natalie,” she said, her voice sounding with malice. “I’ve been waiting for you.”

I was frightened and speechless, immediately Tristan’s hand went to my arm, pulling me closer to him.

“Who are you?” I demanded, trying to keep my voice firmly.

The woman smiled again. “Someone who knows all about your little secrets, Natalie.
Secrets that could ruin everything you’ve worked for.” She smiled again.

My heart sank as Ryan chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “Oh, this is going to be good.”

And then, just as I thought things couldn’t get any worse, the woman dropped an unexpected one.

“Natalie, you’re not who you think you are.”

I could say anything as I was left in shock. What did she actually mean?

“What are you talking about?” I demanded, trying to remain calm.

The woman smiled again, her eyes shining with pleasure. “You’re not Natalie Beckham, the woman who thinks she brilliant in businesses.
You’re not even who you think you are.”

Tristan’s grip on my arm tightened. “What do you mean?!” He said abruptly.

The woman took a step closer to me, her eyes locked on mine. “You’re a product of the the Blackwood Project, Natalie. A secret government experiment to create the perfect operative.”

I couldn’t understand anything she had just said, but I know it was of not good.

Tristan’s face was muted. “That’s not true,” he said.

The woman smiled again. “Oh, but it is true. And you, Tristan, are just a pawn in their game.”

Immediately, everything went black.

I saw myself lying in a dark room, pain all over my body. Tristan was nowhere to be seen.

I tried to get on my feet, my heart racing. Where was I? What had happened to Tristan?
