Chapter 27: Unwanted Visitors

I seemed to be hallucinating and heard Jenny calling Damon's name.
But Damon didn't even know the location of our apartment, and I thought I must have been under his influence too badly today.
That is, until I heard that magnetic baritone voice of Damon's.
"The little fox left this at my house."
Damn, this Damon had called me a little fox in front of Jenny, and I could almost imagine how Jenny would torture me later when he was gone.
"You live with her, right?"
Jenny seemed dumbfounded by the sudden arrival and didn't answer Damon's first question, which Damon asked again.
Until now, I couldn't believe my ears that Damon had actually found my house.
This must be God playing a joke on me, how could he know the address of my house.
Jenny, as if she and I were in tune, also asked the question in my mind.
"Is the little fox you speak of deadly? She does live with me, but you, how do you know our address?"
Jenny's tone was very harsh, she knew I wanted to hide my identity, so she was also very concerned about the privacy of our address.
Damon should have sensed Jenny's hostility and hurriedly explained, "I think you know Tom's character."
"Oh, damn it! This money-hungry old drunk!"
Jenny was very angry and slapped the door frame, long ago disregarded her ladylike image in front of Damon.
During the conversation between Jenny and Damon, Damon stood in the doorway while I eavesdropped on the conversation between the two in the middle of the room.
I listened for a long time, the two of them have been standing in the doorway talking about something useless, lying on the bed in the room I almost fell asleep, finally in my eyes have closed when I heard a useful message.
"Can I come in and sit down for a while?"
"Oh, of course you can, look at this brain of mine, I forgot to invite you in."
It was like Jenny had just remembered to try to invite Damon in.
She scolded herself while calling my name out loud.
"Fatal, fatal, little fox! Your boss is here."
I lay back on the bed and rolled my eyes, very reluctantly grabbing my mask from the nightstand and fixing it firmly on my head as if to vent my anger.
I was now very glad that Jenny had called me "Deadly" instead of my real name, although I was very resistant to the little fox she called after me.
After Jenny's shout, I couldn't continue to play dead in the room.
I had to drag my weak body holding the door frame, struggling to walk out.
I opened the door and saw Damon standing awkwardly in the doorway of my room.
He kept one hand in a knocking position as if he wanted to knock on the door and call me.
He was still wearing the same suit he had worn at the club today, a close fit that accentuated his great body, I could even imagine the texture of the muscles underneath all that fabric, and quickly I beat myself out of that undeserved thought.
The suit he was wearing was now full of creases and there were even some water stains on it.
All these marks on his body were telling me what had happened between us this evening.
Embarrassed to meet his eyes, my eyes scanned confusingly over Damon's body and suddenly I saw a few red marks on his exposed white neck.
I think that would be the hickeys I left on his neck.
I noticed that his red hair was very messy, just like the 1st time I saw him in a private ballroom, full of messy beauty.
Finally my eyes shifted to his face and I saw his turquoise pupils filled with worry.
Seeing me come out, Damon was also a little ruffled, and the hand that had been extended to knock on the door didn't know whether to put it away or to keep it up.
"Sit down for a while?"
This atmosphere is too awkward, I had to open my mouth to break the atmosphere.
Damon nodded and walked towards the couch in the living room, when I saw a white furry object held in his right hand.
"Why didn't you answer when I called you?"
As soon as I sat down, Damon said to me with a questioning tone.
"I just fell asleep, so those calls were from you."
The cell phone number was Damon's, and when I found out it was Damon calling, there was an overwhelming emotion in me that wanted to gush out.
"Give me your phone."
Damon held out his hand to me, gesturing for me to hand him my phone.
I didn't know what he wanted the phone for, but I picked it up from the table and handed it to him.
Only now did I see that he was holding the white stuffed animal, a small white fox, which was now hanging from my phone.
This is indeed my pendant, I think it was lost at his house during the night.
Then I saw Damon unlock the phone's lock screen and deposit a message at the number of the unknown caller, just a simple name Damon.
Only this cell phone number was set to his special attention, and also set a special ring tone for incoming calls, and only after all this was done did Damon hand the phone to me.
"This is my number, no not answering my calls in the future."
I nodded a little confused, he chased me from the apartment in the middle of the night just to give me a pendant and save his cell phone number?
I had questions in my mind, but didn't ask them.
Even though there was some unpleasantness between the two of us at Damon's apartment just now, these little gestures of his now made me feel the slightest bit sweet and gave me the idea that I wanted to have more contact with him.
"You hear that? Remember this number in the future!"
Jenny on the side suddenly interjected, I rolled my eyes at her, I almost forgot that Jenny was still standing here watching the show.
Jenny made a face at me, and then after looking at me and Damon with a strange look, she ran back to the bedroom alone, covering her face.
The two of us were found to be so ambiguous by Jenny on the spot, so I was surprised to have my cheeks blushed for a moment.
Although Jenny also already knew that the two of us had struck a kind of physical deal, but I was spending time with the two of them, and being seen by him was a different feeling.
I watched with a firm gaze as Jenny closed the door, before sitting down on the other side of the couch.
The two of us, Damon and I, just sat awkwardly on the couch.
After Jenny went back to her room, I sat on the sofa without saying anything, Damon did not say anything either, but he seemed a little nervous and kept rubbing his hands together.
Finally I could not help but secretly turn my head to look at Damon's face, but found that they are looking straight.
His face was a little pale, and his forehead had some cold sweat seeping out.
Could it be that he also had a stomach ache because of those not fresh steaks?
