Chapter 42: A Sudden Confession

We went from the bathroom, to the couch in the living room, to the bed in the bedroom, Damon tormented me with every position, every strength, until my voice was so hoarse that I could no longer scream a single syllable, and my body was so weak that I could not support my weight on my own to let him take control completely.
For the next week, except for class time, Damon would pick me up directly from school and take me back to my apartment and begin to make repeated demands on me.
I gradually became immersed in Damon's techniques, and the consequences of this week of indulgence were obvious.
I couldn't get into my school classes, and I spent all my time at school catching up on sleep, but the dark circles under my eyes were still becoming more and more obvious, which made me very distressed.
On the contrary, Damon, he is like a perpetual motion machine, there is no impact at all, I even suspect that he is a robot that does not get tired.
When I was about to be overwhelmed by Damon every time, I could always see the blonde woman on Damon's phone, a screensaver that brought me sobriety over and over again.
I even noticed a slight resemblance between me and the woman on the screensaver, especially with my eyes and chin after putting on the mask.
In the course of intense exercise, I once asked Damon why he would choose a woman with a mask as a protocol object for intimate relations.
"Don't you think it's more exciting when you can't see your face?"
After getting this answer from Damon, it was followed by more violent strokes from Damon that made me rush up to the clouds of desire again, forgetting the initial purpose of the inquiry.
"Selena, have you forgotten about me?"
I received a call from Jenny as Damon was leaving for work, sighing because I had finally gotten a break.
I had forgotten almost everything about the past few days being tossed around by Damon.
"Sorry, I've just been a little tired the last few days."
I could only apologize to Jenny, while Jenny's call this time also brought me a question I was deliberately avoiding.
"Not only did you forget about me, you even forgot to go to your sister's wedding."
"Oh, damn, I've been avoiding this issue too much lately, I can't believe it's time so soon!"
I smacked my forehead in chagrin as Jenny on the other end exclaimed.
"I knew it, I've already put you in touch with Dr. William, and if you must take Eric home, I think it would be safer for Dr. William to follow."
Jenny sounded very helpless, apparently sometimes Jenny is more of a certified sister than I am.
"Oh Jenny, I love you so much, you're just my angel!"
I did not spare Jenny's compliments over the phone, but Jenny was long used to such compliments from me and was not swayed by me.
"Don't you come with me, you pay for the invitation to Dr. William yourself, I don't have money to help you advance."
Jenny is always such a stern mouth when in fact she still thinks everything through very well in her heart.
"Hey, don't worry, I've signed a contract with Damon, there's still enough money for now."
"I see that what you signed is not a contract, it's a deed of sale, you're selling yourself to him."
Even though it was a voice call, I could imagine the blank stare and disdainful expression Jenny must have been wearing when she said that.
"Don't be ridiculous, we're really just in that kind of relationship, nothing else."
I scrambled to explain, but I was so vain that I wasn't sure if I had really done it.
"Let's not talk about that, your housekeeper has been waiting for you at the door of the house since yesterday."
Jenny's tone was formal again, and it was then that I remembered promising my father that I would need to come home for an extra week.
"Okay, you tell him to pick me up at the hospital tomorrow morning."
I needed to go to the hospital first to take care of things regarding Eric so I could feel comfortable taking him home.
After getting up, I finished washing up as fast as I could and drove to the hospital.
"Dr. William, Jenny told me she had made an appointment for me with you."
I found William in his office and asked him point-blank.
"Indeed, Eric's condition has stabilized a bit lately, or I wouldn't have promised you to take him out of the hospital."
William pushed his gold-rimmed glasses, and in his hand was Eric's medical report that had just come out.
"It was Eric's wish, if I hadn't been capricious, he might have been able to see the wedding of his two sisters."
Speaking of weddings, my voice was a little dull, and there were quite a few factors about this wedding for Sophie that led to this result.
"Are you still single?" William suddenly asked, and I saw some emotions I couldn't understand welling up in his silver-gray pupils.
"Of course, I just want to see Eric healthy and happy enough every day for now."
I looked through the window of William's office and saw Eric, who was staying in the ward across the hall, gesturing at something with some of his patients, and I couldn't help but leak a happy smile.
"If I could, would I be able to be your boyfriend?"
"Huh? What?"
Dr. William's words almost shocked off my jaw, and I almost thought I was hallucinating as I looked at him incredulously.
"I know it's abrupt to say this, but I was attracted to your personality and beauty the first time I saw you, and I'm single, and you're single, and I thought we could try," William was obviously not very good at saying these things, and he had been very nervous, his long, slender hands crossed and rubbed back and forth.
I'm not familiar with William, we don't even have any contact information.
And all of our encounters were when I visited Eric in the hospital, and I felt very puzzled by this sudden confession of his.
"I know you must be very shocked, but I personally believe in love at first sight, time will help us understand each other better, and of course I can systematically explain all the events about me."
William saw that my expression had been very surprised, he spoke more rapidly and I was almost on the verge of not being able to hear what he was saying.
"No, I don't have any plans for a relationship at the moment, I just want to earn more money for Eric's treatment at the moment."
I lowered my eyes and didn't look at William again, his sudden confession made me feel uncomfortable.
"Here is the outgoing bill consultation money, I will have my driver pick up Eric and you tomorrow morning."
After saying this, I didn't look at William again and walked straight out of the office.
I hadn't fully understood what William had just said, and his confession was too sudden for me to accept for a moment.
"HI, we meet again."
I was thinking about William all the way and didn't notice that there was suddenly a person standing in front of me.
"Ah, what a coincidence to startle me, Alexander!"
