Chapter 47 - Cupid Sophie
"But everyone knows she's your fiancée."
I couldn't look Damon in the eye; I was afraid I'd go soft at the sight of him and had to look to the ground.
"I don't agree, and I'm not going to have anything to do with her. As soon as the project is over, even the title of fiancée will be taken off."
Damon clenched his hands into fists, his body was trembling slightly, and you could tell he was very unstable at this point.
I felt a pang of pain, why he had a fiancée and still wouldn't let go of me? I would never get involved in another person's relationship.
"I said ......"
Grimm stood between the two of us, and he didn't know who to persuade for the best.
"Selena, is that you there?"
Sophie appeared just in time to break the stalemate.
"Why are you all here? By the way, Selena, mother asked you to try on the bridesmaids' dresses this time."
Sophie's smile was very sweet, especially when she saw Grimm, her eyes were shining with light, clearly written with happiness.
I guess this time the wedding is what she really likes, and not what her father forced her to do.
Sophie politely did ladylike manners to Damon, and smiled sheepishly at Grimm, and she pulled me away and ran away.
For a moment I envied Sophie this happy state and wished she could stay so happy.
"Mother said that this time Grimm's brother Damon will bring his fiancée to stay with him at home, and I think you can get in touch with them more and can meet more friends."
On the way to the dress fitting, Sophie and I kept telling about the various things Damon had been doing at home with his fiancée in the past two days.
I kept perfunctory conversations with Sophie, but every single thing she said about Morgan was committed to my mind.
Only a family like Morgan could be worthy of Damon's status as a family member, and I was just a young lady who had given up her family status.
Such a perception made my heart sting extraordinarily, obviously I had told myself that I and Damon were nothing more than a physical relationship, but when I found another woman standing beside him, sourness still dominated my emotions.
"Selena, you seem to know Damon?"
Sophie suddenly called out to me, who was rambling.
"No, he's just more like a friend of mine."
I casually found an excuse to put it off, and Sophie's remark reinforced my idea to cancel the agreement with Damon.
I was distracted throughout the dress fitting process, I didn't expect that attending a wedding would lead to so many changes.
It made me wonder for a moment how to deal with these things happening now.
At this time there was a knock at the door, Sophie seemed to know who it was and hurriedly helped me put on my clothes and darted to the door of the room to open it.
From this reaction of hers, I also guessed that the person at the door should be Green.
"Have the two beautiful ladies picked out their clothes yet? We're ready to go, just the two of you."
Sophie opened the door to the room, and there was indeed Green standing at the door of the room, still wearing his gentleman's hat, and removing it to greet me when he saw me.
The Greene I saw at home this time had maintained his good breeding, and it was hard to believe that he and Damon were two brothers.
Not only in appearance, in personality, preferences, the two do not have any similarities.
"Still need to wait for us ten minutes dear, we will rejoin you as fast as we can."
Sophie blushed a small face, and Green spoke with a little more pouting voice.
"Okay, I'll be waiting for you guys at the entrance to the room."
Green reached out and nudged Sophie on the tip of her nose and closed the door to the room for us.
"He's such a gentleman, isn't he?" Sophie was almost flying into the sky with happiness, and I felt a little amused at her flamboyant look.
"Are you guys going somewhere?" I asked Sophie as I tried to break away from the complicated bridesmaid dress.
"It's not me and him, and you're going to a picnic together too."
Sophie came over to help me unbutton my back, her force was heavy, she was venting her frustration, she was not happy that I had just tried to find an excuse not to go to the picnic.
"And Damon and his fiancée." When I heard that there was Damon and Morgan, I tried to open my mouth to decline the picnic, Sophie seemed to know what I wanted to do and followed up with, "And of course there's Eric and Dr. William."
Hearing that William was going too made it even more difficult for me, and I couldn't even hide the expression on my face.
"Just think of it as for Eric." Sophie didn't want me to leave the group, although she didn't know why I was so resistant to contact with them.
"Okay." Sophie used Eric to convince me, which left me with no reason at all to refuse.
"I think Dr. William has a bit of a crush on you." Sophie said as she pushed me, who had already changed, toward the door.
If possible, I very much want Sophie to see the sweat on the corner of my forehead, whether it is Damon or William recently I do not want to see.
Today this picnic, if possible, I really want God to save me.
"Sophie, you know I don't really want to be in a relationship right now."
I shook my head, trying to discourage Sophie from trying to set me up with William.
"But he's really, really handsome!" Sophie didn't give up, she opened the door to the room while still twisting her head to emphasize with me.
"Is it that I'm very handsome?" Grimm heard Sophie's words in the doorway and poked a head out, saying playfully.
"You know I'm not talking about you, Grimm don't you think Selena and William are a super match."
Sophie asked as she wrinkled her delicate nose and stared at Grimm with big eyes.
Grimm touched his cane and pondered for a few seconds, "I think you and I are the best match."
I surreptitiously gave an awesome gesture to Grimm as I marveled at Grimm's high emotional intelligence, easily able to get around Sophie's dilemma while still being able to make her happy.
Perhaps, this is one of the reasons why Sophie likes him!
"Well, let's go, they're all waiting for us downstairs." Green gave Sophie a doting smile and urged the two of us on.
I saw several people standing in front of the villa from afar through the corridor window, as well as several luxury cars parked in front of the entrance.
At this time, Eric did not know what to say to William, laughing back and forth, a small face flushed like a red apple.
I then looked at Sophie, who was tussling with Green, and her face also had a happy smile on it.
As long as the two of them can be happy, then my personal feelings do not matter.
Selena, come on, you just need to work hard to be good, so that they can be happy is the biggest pursuit in my life.
"Selena!"
Eric saw me from afar and ran towards me excitedly.
I looked at the little boy running under the sun's shine and finally let go of all my doubts and ran in his direction.
