Chapter 49: Unexpected
Since Morgan appeared, Damon changed his usual open and domineering appearance and has been standing by Morgan's side like a big, docile dog.
Whatever Morgan wanted to do, he would go along with Morgan's idea, not refusing anything and allowing Morgan to have sweet interactions with him.
Now, Morgan is carrying the wreath that Damon knitted for her, singing a happy song, looking for dry firewood in the woods, and then handing it to Damon to hold.
"Selena, Selena?"
I looked at the two people not far ahead of me, unaware that my hands had clenched into fists and that my body was trembling slightly, Sophie sensed that something was wrong with me and called out to me repeatedly.
"What's wrong?" I hastened to organize myself, not wanting Sophie to see what connection between Damon and me.
"This is for you, I made it up for you with my own hands." Sophie waved the garland in her hand and ran towards me.
"Look at the one on my head, Grimm made it up for me, does it look good?" Sophie pointed to the garland on her head and asked me with a happy face.
"It looks good, you must be the most beautiful bride." I helped Sophie straighten the garland on her head and said.
"If you get married, you are the most beautiful bride, look how beautiful you look with the garland!" Sophie didn't care about her crooked garland and reached out to help me put it on.
She dragged her hands over my face and rubbed it hard, trying to rub a happy expression from my face.
"I still think the wreath Damon knitted for me looks best." Morgan's voice suddenly appeared.
Her turquoise blue eyes looked straight at me, and I read a strong hostility in her eyes.
Counting this time, it was probably the third time I had met her, and I didn't really understand why she was so hostile to me.
"Very nice." I smiled at her and said softly.
After saying no more attention to her, towards the far side of the woods, I want to be alone for a while, to sort out this unpleasant mood of their own.
I saw a sapphire pendant hanging around her neck when I was looking at Morgan, and the pendant looked very familiar.
Only when I was 10 years old, I left this pendant behind when I moved, and I cried a lot about it.
Because this pendant was a token given to me by my first love, for us to recognize each other when we grew up.
I shook my head violently, chasing away the memories I had just had and pulling myself back from the sadness.
I think it must be because of the recent stress that makes it so easy to lose control of my emotions.
Suddenly I heard a slight sound coming from the bushes behind me, and I remembered that Green had said something before I got here.
"I heard that the woods have recently appeared wild boars, but it's okay, I will protect you."
Could ......
It can't be so unlucky that I ran into a wild boar when I was alone?
The more I ran, the louder the commotion behind me.
By the time I realized my current situation, I had already run deep into the woods, I stood shakily in place, facing the bushes, I watched the bushes shake more and more violently, and could not help but back up.
When I actually got a good look at the creature coming out of the bush, it was too late.
"Ah...!!!"
I screamed miserably, only to feel a hollow under my feet and my whole body began to spin.
"Selena!" It was Damon's voice.
The moment I fell I saw that the first thing to leak out of the bushes was Damon's flaming red shredded hair, and now that I heard his voice, I was even more certain that it was Damon who had just been following me.
Damon heard me scream and rolled all the way down after me.
"Uh ......" I don't know how long it took for me to come to my senses and feel as if my entire body was falling apart in pain, especially my ankles and forehead.
Probably just knocked when I rolled down.
"Hiss--" I tried to struggle to sit up, and the sound of cold huffing behind me made the sweat on my body explode.
I slowly turned my head to find that it was Damon acting as a human cushion, and I was now lying on top of him, while my hand was pressing on his sensitive special male part.
"Had enough of touching?" Damon's beautiful eyes were slightly narrowed into slits and his voice was squeezed out from between his teeth.
My face instantly flushed red, I hurriedly withdrew my hand and backed away from Damon's body.
But while retreating, I kept crying out, "That hurts!" .
Although Damon did not draw breath again, his face was very pale, and beads of sweat began to ooze from his forehead.
"Are you okay?" I moved my body forward a few times, trying to check his injuries.
I felt a very sticky liquid on his back, I raised my hand with some trembling, looking at the scarlet liquid on my hand, I just felt that my whole brain was blank, the whole person was frozen, mouth open, wriggling a few times, but not a word came out.
Just so stupidly looking at the blood on his hands.
"It's just a cut, but if you're still sitting there so stupidly, I think I'll have something to do later." Damon tried to make the atmosphere less tense in his way, but his voice got smaller and smaller, and his weak breathing made my tears stop any longer and start to drip down in big globs.
I carefully picked Damon up from the ground, let him lean against a tree trunk and helped him check the wounds on his body.
In addition to the many deep and shallow abrasions on the exposed skin, there was a hideous wound on the waist that was so deep that the flesh turned out, and the fishy red blood stained Damon's leisure jacket.
"Does it hurt, you bear with it, I'll help you stop the bleeding." My heart was in great pain, not only my voice trembled, even my hands could not stop trembling, I forced myself to calm down.
I took off my jacket, ripped mine open and wrapped it around Damon's wound.
I was glad that I was wearing a thinner jacket today that I could rip open with my strength, otherwise I really didn't know how to help Damon stop the bleeding.
Damon leaned against the tree, he kept looking at me without saying anything, but the smile on the corner of his mouth kept blooming.
"Why can you still smile so much when we are in this state?"
I didn't sound too good, when I was worried about him, it was surprising that he acted like an outsider, with such a big wound on his body, he could still laugh.
"I'm happy to see you nervous for me." Damon's tone was soft, but I still heard every word.
I didn't respond to his words; I was worried that he didn't mean anything, and besides, he was already a man with a fiancée, and we were now just strangers.
In the face of my sudden silence, God broke the quiet air between us.
"Boom..."
A muffled thunder exploded in the sky.
