Chapter 45: Whose Woman
"Then I ......"
I couldn't stay in this living room for a minute now, too confusing a relationship for me to want to think and stay.
Just before I could get my excuse out, William interrupted me.
"There is something else I need to tell you about Eric."
William's expression was so serious that I was nervous about Eric in my mind, and that dull ache in my heart just now was even stronger, but it was caused by worrying about Eric.
"Take me to him!"
I reached out and grabbed William's arm, my tone very eager.
William held my trembling arm and patted my arm a few times to show me not to be too nervous, then reached out and grabbed my hand and led me toward Eric's room.
I looked back at the chaotic living room, Sophie also looked worried, pulling Green to follow.
Damon, on the other hand, was frowning tightly, his gaze seemingly fixed on my hand being pulled by William, and the woman beside him was looking at me with a raised eyebrow and an expression on her face that made it impossible to guess what she was thinking.
Just this one look back, my eyes and Damon's eyes collided in the air.
I couldn't see the emotion in his eyes, but tears were about to slide down the corners of my eyes.
I held back the tears that were about to fall and kept pace with William.
As I was about to walk out of the living room, I even heard what Green said to Damon.
"Damon, doesn't this lady look familiar to you? I always feel like I've seen it somewhere."
William pulled me out of the main house and walked towards the small garden of the manor, he seemed to be very familiar with our house.
"William, what about Eric anyway?"
Just after I stood up physically, I eagerly grabbed William's arm and asked.
"Eric is fine, he slept after taking his medicine."
William's expression had been very gentle, and his voice was like a brook so that people could get emotional relief after listening to it.
I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down.
"Well, thank you for relieving me."
I knew the purpose of William's doing so, his abrupt appearance in the living room just to take me away from that nasty atmosphere.
I thanked William, except that William was looking at me with a very hot gaze, a change from his usual cool demeanor.
This made me uncomfortable, and the fact that he had confessed his love for me before made me even more uncomfortable and want to find an excuse to leave.
"There's nothing going on, I want to go see Eric."
After saying these words, I turned around and wanted to leave.
"Wait, I ...... still have something I want to say to you."
William's tone was eager, while he grabbed my wrist, his strength was so great that he was almost about to bring me down, I could feel the tilt of my body and even felt my hair touching William's chest.
Just a moment before I was about to fall into William's arms, I saw a handsome face that was zooming in and out, and his dazzling red hair.
All I felt was a blur before my eyes, and my body fell into a warm embrace that held the familiar citrus smell I knew so well.
"She doesn't want to hear it from you."
Damon's cold voice rang out above my head as my entire body was held tightly in his arms.
My head was pressed against his chest, and I couldn't see William's expression, or his face.
But I could hear the sound of Damon's strong heartbeat, which surprisingly put me so at ease.
"Mr. Damon, shouldn't you be with your fiancée?"
William added a special tone when he spoke of his fiancée.
Yes, Damon is the one with a fiancée. As soon as I thought of this, the heartache I experienced in the living room just now came back again.
I struggled to get out of Damon's embrace, but Damon kept increasing his strength and I even had the illusion that he was going to muffle me to death.
"She is not someone you can touch."
Damon ignored William's challenge, he was swearing his sovereignty with words.
"I think I'm more qualified to be with her than you are."
William laughed out softly, his voice lowered.
Even without seeing the scene outside, I could feel how tense the atmosphere around me was.
"She is my woman." Damon said with certainty.
The words were like a bomb, bombing not only William, but also me.
I jerked my head up and looked at Damon angrily.
We had agreed in our previous contract not to interfere in each other's love lives, and now he had completely overstepped.
Not only did he have a fiancée, but he had picked our relationship in front of others.
Damon ignored the look in my eyes that could almost pierce him and very forcefully helped me turn my body so that I was facing William.
I didn't know how to react to such a scene. I blamed Damon's impulsiveness and capriciousness in my mind, but surprisingly there was a hint of happiness mixed in with the anger.
"Selena, is it true what he said?" William's voice trembled a little as he asked me for confirmation.
I quickly glanced up at William and lowered my eyes again not daring to look at him again.
His face was very pale, obviously he had undergone a lot of stimulation, although I did not understand that we had only met a few times, he would have such feelings, but I still could not bear to see him in this state.
But there are many things that need to be nipped in the bud for unnecessary trouble.
"Yes." My voice was not loud, but loud enough for William to hear clearly.
"I don't believe it, unless you can prove it!"
William's expression had twisted a bit, even the gray pupils began to shine with some light, those seemed to be tears.
I was silent, how to prove such things, not to mention that I simply wanted to borrow this opportunity to let William completely dead.
I could only see Damon's face getting closer and closer to mine, trying to struggle but unable to break free from his grip.
Eventually Damon's lips kissed me forcefully on the lips.
I heard William's huff, and Damon tried to go even deeper into the kiss, but I pushed him away.
"I'm not giving up!"
William stared at me earnestly, his expression very serious, his trembling hands indicating that he was suppressing his emotions.
Dropping these words, William left the garden with a big stride.
It was not until William's figure was out of sight that I completely broke free from Damon's grip.
I looked up into Damon's eyes, reached out my hand, put my fingers together, and waved my arm vigorously.
"Pop--"
After a crisp ringing sound, a clear five-finger mark appeared on Damon's handsome left face.
I watched as the five-finger mark on Damon's face slowly became clear, and only then did I realize what I had just done.
After carefully glancing at Damon's shocked expression, I lifted my leg and quickly fled Damon's side.
