Anton's Smile

My body buckled under him, and a sound, familiar to a vicious growl tore through my chest and suddenly he was naked. He groaned into the kiss and moved away slightly, ghostly.
"I don't believe it," he said, his voice so husky it cracked.
He whipped his face abruptly to the floor to stare at his boxers in shreds, his eyes were surprised, hungry, bewildered.
I couldn't be sure whether I really had ripped his boxers off. My gaze flickered back to Roman, his lips were fuller than usual, swollen.
Two taps sounded at the door and before either of us could react, Anton let himself in.
I was surprised at how disapointing the intrusion was, I was gripped with such fury that I felt sobs building up my throat. I turned to look at Anton, utterly aghast, gracing him with a cold, measuring gaze.
"Shit, Reeves." Anton was staring at us in unconcealed shock. "What did I just walk in on?"
"You are very lucky I was the one naked." Roman glared at Anton. His jaw was tight. "If it was Nuru, you'd be dead right now."
"Roman!" I hissed when he didn't make an effort to move. My eyes grew round with horror. "You're naked," I whispered, embarrassed.
He merely laughed at my expression.
My cheeks burned and I buried my face in his chest. My breath caught. He smelled amazing. In my head, I allowed myself to curse Anton to hell and back.
Roman stroked my hair and I was glad Anton couldn't see me.
"I thought the poor girl was in trouble," Anton said, walking into the room, his voice as calm as he looked. "Except" — he eyed the messed up underwear on the floor and grinned mischievously — "I was wrong. In actual fact, she's the lion that roared."
My heart picked up its pace. I tried to breathe calmly, but my breath was rushed and shaky.
Roman chuckled, perfectly at ease.
I closed my eyes in shock, they were being so normal about this whole this, finding nothing wrong with Roman naked on top of me. For gods sake, there was nothing usual about this at all!
Roman got up and opened a drawer and retrieved white pants, his back was turned towards me and my heart nearly stopped, my face froze in disbelief, only one of my eyebrows managed to go up in surprise. I hungrily took him in. I'd never considered a man's ass before but suddenly he made the possibility of them being sexy hold a ring of truth to it.
I fiercely shoved down mouthfuls of fresh air into my lungs, abruptly looking away when I remembered we weren't alone.
Anton folded his arms across his chest and raised an eyebrow, he'd been watching me this whole time, he chuckled at my embarrassment.
"Breakfast is served," Anton said, bemused, it looked like he wanted to say more but Roman's glare stopped him. "And no, I don't mean have each other for breakfast. Roman, we need to be in Portland in three hours. The lioness needs to be at campus."
Anton disappeared and so did Roman.
I pressed my fist against my mouth to keep from screaming. If Anton walked in on me throwing a tantrum it wouldn't look good.
I lay in Roman's bed for a moment longer, after the initial disappointment, my heart raced and it didn't even out until I'd acknowledged what Roman and I were about to do.
Roman wouldn't touch me until I was married to him. This fact troubled me. He'd slipped in the past and every time something... or someone managed to interrupt us.
My lips pouted. Maybe if I took him away, to the roof instead, I was bitterly sad and getting late for school. With a heavy sigh, I threw my quilt to the floor and took a quick shower.
I went through the tidiness of gathering my school-books on the bedroom floor to pack them in my bag. I turned for the hallway. My phone vibrated.
It was Roman.
Keep my heart safe. See you later.
The text read.
I smiled. Anton was in the kitchen when I walked in.
