Chapter 22 - Announcement of the Palace

While having their breakfast together, Princess Trisha suddenly suggested something, “Princess Shelyca, Duke Simon was looking for you since the time he learned that you were missing. I guess it is better to inform him as early as now that you are alive but married already so that he will not continue his search for you.”

The King and Queen of the Kingdom of Gold Valley, including Princess Shelyca and Dareon simultaneously looked at Princess Shelyca. Her suggestion and topic while having an early hearty breakfast were very uncalled for.

The King put down his spoon and fork on his plate without leaving an eye on Princess Trisha. “Leave that to us Princess Trisha. We have a formal plan already to do that,” the King said with eyes half squinting.

“Oh, actually the Duke of Sussex already knew. He was in our village two days ago. We had a talk then.” It was Dareon who spoke.

The King and Queen were taken aback. “He knew and yet he did not inform us? That’s odd.” It was the Queen who said with a hint of surprise in her tone.

“Then I guess, we need to do our formal plan, my Queen. We will have an announcement this afternoon with regards to the marriage of Princess Shelyca and you Dareon. We will also celebrate that Princess Shelyca has been safe and alive despite of the accident. By the way, Princess Shelyca, there is a lot to discuss about what happened. Our helicopter was found floating totally in a wreck and both Krista and our Royal pilot are missing until now.”

“Yes, father. What happened was not an accident. It was a planned crime.” Princess Shelyca looked at her parents including Princess Trisha, who suddenly put her head down.

“And after this breakfast, I will be calling the King and Queen of Sussex to inform them, including their grandson, Duke Simon even if he knew already.” The King of the Kingdom of Gold Valley who is known more as King Andreios; the valiant Greek Lycan King declared with firmness.

Princess Shelyca nodded and smiled at her Father. He knows how fair his father is as a King.

“By the way Dareon, how will I address you? Is it Dareon alone or there is something that we need to know more about you?” King Andreios asked fixing his gaze at his new son-in-law.

“Chieftain, Chieftain Dareon of the Thregonad Village in the East.” Dareon replied with expression, unfathomable. He does not want to pride himself by telling them that he is a Chieftain, but they need to know that at least, their Princess daughter did not marry an ordinary man.

Aside from the nod and welcoming smiles from the King and Queen of the Kingdom of Gold Valley, there was a moment of silence after those words coming from Chieftain Dareon. They all finished their breakfast silently.

In the afternoon, at the open ground of the Palace of the Kingdom of Gold Valley, all its constituents gathered to hear good news coming from their King Andreios. They were told by the palace messenger that the King wanted to gather them to announce some good news and to have a feast at the palace thereafter.

When King Andreios entered the open field together with his whole family and his new son-in-law, the constituents fell all into silence and in awe upon seeing their missing Princess Shelyca. Then their eyes suddenly all focused on the gorgeous man beside Princess Shelyca. They are all wondering if he is already the Duke of Sussex, whom they all knew as the fiancée of their First Princess.

“People of the Kingdom of Gold Valley, good afternoon. We all know that for almost two weeks, our Princess Shelyca had gotten into an accident that almost costs her life. Luckily, someone was able to save her, however, Krista and our Royal Pilot are still missing. We are not sure if they are still alive. Even so, we are happy that our Princess Shelyca was able to come back with us, alive.” King Andreios’ first phase of speech.

The people of Gold Valley clapped their hands and happiness could be seen in their faces. But their eyes again all focused on the handsome man beside Princess Shelyca, which King Andreios noticed.

“And this wonderful man beside us is Chieftain Dareon, he is the Chieftain of the Thregonad Village in the East. He was the one who saved Princess Shelyca.” The King of the Gold Valley Kingdom continued. He then raised the hands of Princess Shelyca and Dareon, showing off the identical marriage rings that both of them wear.

King Andreios continued, “In a short span of time that they were together, they just fell in love and decided to get married under the Thregonad marriage ritual. Soon, they will be getting married under our Kingdom’s way of a wedding ceremony,” he announced that made Dareon and Shelyca looked at each other surprised.

The people of the Kingdom of Gold Valley applauded as they simultaneously shouted. “Prince Dareon, Prince Dareon, welcome to our Kingdom!”

“Wife, are these people, all werewolves?” Dareon whispered to Princess Shelyca.

Princess Shelyca shook her head, “No hubby, some are not yet werewolves; only when it is imperative that we Lycans turned humans into werewolves too.”

“I see.” Dareon nodded and put his hand over her wife’s shoulders.

“Yes my people, you are correct. Being the husband of Princess Shelyca, Chieftain Dareon will also be declared as the First Prince of the Kingdom of Gold Valley. The Ceremony for that will be done right after their second wedding.” King Andreios announced.

“That could not be possible, because I never accepted the withdrawal of the fiancée agreement between First Princess Shelyca and me!” A firm and loud voice echoed into the open field, surprising everyone in the place.
