Chapter 52 - The King’s Anger

Pointing the sword to Delta Gano, King Andreios’ mind has been clouded already with anger. He raised his both hands, holding the sword and was about to swing it right at Delta Gano when First Princess Shelyca, shouted.

“Father, please no! Delta Gano has been loyal to us and has been a good warrior of the Kingdom of Gold Valley. He was maybe just overwhelmed by his love for Trisha, which she took advantage of in letting him follow, her every whim and wish. If he has done any wrong, please let him served it in prison.” Princess Shelyca tried to stop his father. She does not want anyone to suffer because of the evilness of her adoptive sister.

Still holding the sword-up, King Timodore’s expression never changed. His anger was still evident. Queen Lusica decided to appeal also to her husband to support her daughter’s stand.

“My King, let Delta Gaano faced his crime. If he did really wrong then he should suffer. Don’t taint your hand with the blood of our own breed.” Queen Lusica’s voice was pleading just like Princess Shelyca.

With such voice, of Queen Lusica, King Andreios suddenly came into his senses and lowered down his sword. He put his sword to its scabbard and left the throne’s hall, without uttering any word.

Delta Gano looked at Princess Shelyca and Queen Lusica, teary-eyed.

“Thank you for saving me Queen Lusica and Princess Shelyca,” Delta Gano’s voice was full of gratefulness, while his eyes moistened as tears slowly slipped therefrom. He thought it was his last minute on earth.

“Delta Gano, be aware that should you truly committed a crime, the council of elders will judge for you and will decide for your fate.” Queen Lusica said while looking at Delta Gano with an unfathomable expression plastered on her face.

The Delta warrior nodded and looked down. He was an idiot not to be able to control his wolf within, whose heart has been totally captured by their mate, Princess Trisha.

When Delta Gano has been picked up by the Palace’s soldiers and was put inside the dungeon, he did not try to resist. He has been a man of honor; he was raised like that by his Delta Father. They might be just Delta but the rooted principle that runs to their blood is akin to that of royalty. They are Delta who never retreats neither turned their backs from responsibilities and the outcome of their actions. So, he must suffer to rot in the dungeon.

On the other cell, was Princess Trisha. She heard the Palace’s Soldiers mentioned the name of Delta Gano and her hearts beat speedily; Delta Gano, her mate, the man who truly loves her and who sacrificed himself to protect her is also now held in captive; ought to suffer because of her. Second Princess Trisha bit her lower lip trying to awaken herself from what she thought was a mere nightmare.

“What have I done?” Second Princess Trisha murmured and then started to sob.

Her sobs were heard by Delta Gano, who was just inside the next cell. He called out her name trying to pacify her. “My Princess Trisha, this is Delta Gano, your mate; please, don’t be afraid, everything will be alright.” While saying so, Delta Gano was also trying to convince himself that everything will just be alright. It hurts him to see that the woman he loves would suffer so much or worst might be penalized to die.

At the Kingdom of Sussex, Duke Simon heard the news about what Second Princess Trisha had committed. He furrowed upon learning that she tried to kill the first Princess; his supposed fiancee. He further learned that Second Princess Trisha has been considered also as the mastermind for that crime done to Princess Shelyca when she was on her way going to his Kingdom to supposedly meet him months ago.

Instead of feeling some pity for what happened to Second Princess Trisha, Duke Simon’s even hated her more for he considered her as the reason why his marriage to First Princess Shelyca did not happen as planned.

Knowing that the Kingdom of Gold Valley is in chaos now; the Duke of Sussex decided to carry on his long plan to get Princess Shelyca away from her husband. Thus, he sent a message to his asset inside the palace of the Kingdom of Gold Valley. His asset there was actually one of the servants of the palace, who happened to be easily overwhelmed with his promise of golds and coins.

“She is still here in the Palace but her husband left this morning to check his village and she will follow him home this afternoon by five. She will ride in one of the Palace’s jets.” This was the reply of Duke Simon’s Asset.

Duke Simon smiled atrociously. He got a plan where to attack and get the woman who rightfully belongs to him.

He made just one call to his contact who will execute the kidnapping of First Princess Shelya, and everything has been arranged accordingly. Duke Simon felt excited. Just a few hours from now; the First Princess of the Kingdom of Gold Valley will be in his hands already.
