Chapter 37- His Arrogance

King Andreios looked surprised at the man who once again intruded inside their throne’s hall and none of their palace guards was able to control him and his men.

“Duke Simon, what a surprise to see you again here.” King Andreios greeted the Duke with such unfathomable tone.

The Duke of Sussex smirked and looked at the King with his sinister eyes. “The surprise was actually mine King Andreios. So who will be getting married?” he asked with lifted browse.

King Andreios did not back down as he looked at the Duke with such equal ominous glare. “The First Princess Shelyca and her Husband will be having their marriage under the Lycan customs,” he answered the Duke without battling an eye.

With such the Duke of Sussex’s eyes squinted and his face turned red with outrage. “You truly are trying to defy the Kingdom of Sussex King Andreios.” The Duke’s voice was full of resentment.

“I don’t think the King of Gold Valley needs to explain further to you Duke Simon. This has been talked upon a month ago with the King of Sussex.” King Andreios’ fists started to form like balls, fingers in tight grips.

“Were you desperate enough to send your Second Princess on my bed to appease me?” The Duke of Sussex asked with insult in his voice as he remembered suddenly what happened between him and Princess Trisha days ago at the resort.

Both King Andreios and Queen Lusica were stunned and agitated with such presumptuous accusations against the arrogant Duke.

“Be careful with your words Duke Simon. Our Second Princess is on vacation and been travelling around into different places to freshen-up her mind.” Queen Lusica interrupted with ire in her tone. This Duke of Sussex is getting to bold to disrespect them. Good thing their beloved daughter did not end up with him.

“Don’t get me wrong, I did not mean to offend you but your Second Princess seemed to have offered herself to me for reasons only your family knew.”Smirking more, the Duke of Sussex added that made King Andreios spew air out of madness.

Princess Shelyca gently holds the hand of her husband when she noticed the expression in his face. His expressions shows that he wanted to kill the Duke already.

“Duke Simon, you better leave now, this conversation is fruitless. Nothing will change my mind anyway. I am married now under the Thregonad Custom and will be getting married again with the same man under the Lycan rules.” Princess Shelyca decided to come in between to stop the bantering.

Suddenly, Duke Simon looked at Shelyca, smiling with pure fake affection, “Oh my Princess Shelyca, you never changed. You are still the most beautiful Princess and fiancee I dreamed of. Don’t worry, I will go now but bear in mind, I will be back to claim what is truly mine and that is you, my Princess.” After saying so, the Duke of Sussex turned his back without even paying respect to the King and Queen of Gold Valley; followed by his four men.

Gritting his teeth in utter intolerance of the Duke’s insolence, King Andreios spew air once more to release his emotion while Dareon wanted to blow fire at the back of the arrogant Duke of Sussex.

Queen Lusica sat on her Queen’s chair, feeling weak and disoriented. “What happened to our Second Princess Trisha, Andreios?” she asked with worry.

“I will call Delta Gano. Keep calm; it will not do you good Lusica,” King Andreios tried to pacify his Queen.

“Father, I am thinking to postpone our wedding here, we need to settle things first especially Duke Simon, and if there is something wrong with Second Princess Trisha. I have this gut feeling that Duke Simon will do something to ruin our wedding ceremony if we will pursue it now.” Princess Shelyca suggested. She and Dareon agreed about it just a minute ago.

“I agree King Andreios and Queen Lusica.” Dareon seconded to support her wife’s proposal to the spouses.

Silence ruled them until King Andreios held a long breath and nodded. “I guess, it will be better to postpone it then.”

All of them agreed without some reservations in their hearts.

Dareon and Princess Shelyca excused themselves from the King and Queen thereafter.

“Let us breathe some fresh air at the rooftop Dareon. I wanted to glance at the big moon.”

“Come on Princess, if you want us to fly near the moon, I will be glad to flip my wings going there.” Dareon winked and put his arm around his wife’s shoulder.

“Let me think about it hubby,” she smiled warmly as she wrapped her right arm in his waist.

They walked like that going to the rooftop.

King Andreios and Queen Lusica looked at each other smiling.

“I am glad our daughter found someone else Andreios; Dareon seemed to love her so much, I can see it in his eyes. That is how you looked at me you know,” the Queen said grinning that made the King laughed.

“I am excited to have our grandchildren Lusica. They will bring us so much joy. It has been a long time that this Palace never heard an infant’s cry.” King Andreios said hopeful, his eyes twinkled, excitement was evident.

The Queen shook her head and gave her husband a wide eye. “You are too advance to think Andreios; let our Princess Shelyca enjoy first her husband. I can see the spark in them, whenever they touched each other; like a flame that would ignite in a flicker of a second.”

“Like the spark between us even now. Queen let us put some flame in our bed tonight,” The mighty King whispered that made his Queen giggled.

“You are old yet still naughty Andreios!”

“I will always be like this with you my Queen even if we grow so old already.”

Queen Lusica looked at her husband lovingly and leaned at his broad shoulder.

They were in that position when they saw Second Princess Trisha and Delta Gano approaching.
