Chapter 59 - The Search for Duke Simon

Dareon in his dragon form flew slowly while holding in its claws Sheenai, the white wolf of Princess Shelyca. His direction was going to the Dragon Land.

At the Sussex Arena, the commotion had stopped already and everyone slowly moved going out of it. The Dragon Lord, King Adreios, and Queen Lusica stayed together with the King of Sussex, who felt so ashamed now.

“My dear Dragon Lord, King, and Queen of the Kingdom of Gold Valley; I felt to have lost my face right now in front of you. What my Son, the Duke of Sussex has done was definitely uncalled for. Allow me to punish him in accordance with our laws and please accept my sincere apologies. Whatever you wish for as long as a King like me could give, I am willing to provide it.” The King of Sussex said in a very gentle and respectful manner.

“We do not need anything. Just peace and safety of our Kingdom and our daughter against your son.” King Andreios said.

The Dragon Lord have spoken too, “Princess Shelyca was with my son Dareon already, so there is nothing I could ask for but to make your son, Duke Simon to stop behaving rudely as next time, I am not sure if the master dragon would still let him live.”

The King of Sussex bowed his head in acceptance of all the things that have been said to him by the Dragon Lord and King Andreios.

“I just hope, this will not be the end of the good relationship between our Kingdoms.” The King of Sussex pleadingly said.

The Dragon Lord and King Andreios shook their heads.

“As long as you can tame your son, there will be no problem between our Kingdoms,” King Andreios’ voice was firm. He never had any problem before with the Kingdom of Sussex.

“My stand is the same with King Andreios. Tame your son and we will have no problem,” The Dragon Lord said with finality.

“Find the Duke now!” the King of Sussex was in a rage as he ordered for the capture of his son, Duke Simon. He will not just allow Duke Simon’s impertinence and arrogance continues that would surely destroy their Kingdom. He needs to be punished.

The soldiers of the Sussex Palace started their hunt for the Duke of Sussex, who ran to the forest straight to the nearby mountain, to hide. He knew that his father would either dethrone him or imprison him, worst he might even order for his execution. He knew his father well. He gave him so many opportunities to prove himself. He had saved him several times for all his misfits but he knew this time, he will not forgive him that easily. He already warned him prior to his combat with Dareon, not as a father but as the King of Sussex.

Duke Simon’s wolf, found a cave in the forest, he entered it and rested there not shifting into his human form. He cannot shift right now. He does not want to. His human form was the weakest of all the weakest, that his wolf now wanted to totally disown as its human partner.

Duke Simon’s Wolf stayed in the cave until the next morning safe from the soldiers of Sussex. They were not able to find the Duke of Sussex into the forest.

“General, what about the mountain? The Duke of Sussex might have found his safe haven there. I know there are a lot of caves and underground hiding places there,” one of the soldiers said.

“Yes, I know. The mountain is our next destination to search for the Duke of Sussex. Move then all of you!” The newly appointed General said.

On one hand, Dareon’s Dragon already reached the Dragon Land last night. As he shifted into his Dragon form; Sheenei also shifted into the human form of Princess Shelyca.

“Wife, how I missed you,” Dareon quickly embraced Princess Shelyca and the latter responded with the same tightness of embrace.

“I missed you too hubby. I love you.” Princess Shelyca said while her tears drifted from her eyes.

Dareon’s face quickly glowed as he heard Shelyca’s admittance of her love for him. “Goodness, Why only now that I heard those three words from you?” he asked laughing now.

Princess Shelyca just cupped the face of his master dragon and gave him the sweetest kiss that he deserved from her.
