CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR
"I'm sorry master, please forgive me but I love him and I can't stay away from him"
" Go away, I don't have a stupid servant like you"
" Please master"
***Slap***
" Ouch, you hit me too hard. You did it purposely, didn't you? "
" What are you saying? I barely even touched you"
" What's going on Mabel?, This is the fifth time we had to cut the scene because of you" The director complained.
" She is trying to hurt me and you expect me to stand still and let her?"
" No one is trying to hurt you Miss" one of the camera crew members tried to reason with her.
" You shut up" Mabel snapped at him.
" You knew what part was available for you to play and you willingly took it. Now you complain about every little thing that happens" The director said.
" Oh, so now it's my fault?"
" Look Mabel, if you continue to act this way, then I'm sorry to break it to you, but you will have to leave the set for good" The director tried to explain to her.
"And now you want to fire me?"
"I'm not firing you, I was just telling you what will happen if you conti..."
"You know what I quit. Good luck trying to find someone as good as me to play this role" Mabel said with her head held up high.
She was expecting the director to beg her to stay.
"Ok, Get off my set" Mabel's eyes widened.
"You are driving me away?" Mabel asked with disbelief.
"You said it yourself, you quit"
" But...I...I'm" " Fine" Mabel stumped her foot and walked out of the scene.
" Stupid director, stupid everyone. What's so good about the film anyway, they are nothing without me. They are going to come back crying for my presence" Mabel mumbled to herself and smiled.
She packed her bags and left her assigned room.
" Looks like I would have to stay in a hotel today" Mabel sighed.
Mabel left her things and only carried some money with her. Since she was sure that they would call her back, then there was no need for her to move her things.
As Mabel made her way out of the premises she felt as if she was being followed by someone.
She shrugged it off with the assumption that it was probably just one of her fans following her.
She smiled at the thought of having her own fan club that could do anything for her.
Mabel was suddenly tackled to the floor. The person had attacked her from the back. She struggled to get free but she was no match for whoever it was.
She felt a sharp pain in her neck and everything went dark in a couple of seconds.
...
Mabel slowly gained back her consciousness. Her head was hurting a lot. She tried to move her hands but she couldn't.
Her wrists and ankles were tied together, while her lower back was tied against a chair.
Mabel struggled with panic. She tried to get her hands out of the rope she was bounded by, but it was of no use.
All she got were scratches and bruises on her wrists.
She had been kidnapped.
"You're awake," someone said from the far end of the room.
The room was too dark for her to make out the face of her abductor and she couldn't make out the voice either.
She tried to speak but her mouth was stuffed with a napkin.
" You woke up sooner than I expected"
The voice spoke again, but this time the owner was a lot closer to her.
Mabel mumbled against the napkin.
" Ah, I forgot to untie you. I'm sorry"
Mabel had a little hope. As soon as the man unties the rope she would run, but she lost it when he only removed the clothe from her mouth.
" Wh..who are y..o..you?" Mabel asked with a shaky voice.
" Where are my manners? I'll put on the light real quick"
The man's footsteps were heard getting farther away from Mabel. She only waited a bit before the lights were turned on.
She winced from how bright the light was. She blinked a few times to adjust her eyes to the brightness.
While she did that, the person had already made his way back to her front.
She finally looked at her kidnapper and she gasped. Mabel was shaking from fear. Her worse nightmare had come back for her.
"No" Mabel leaned back as if she was trying to become one with the chair she sat on.
"I see, you don't look happy to see me" The man frowned.
"Let me go, H..elp" Mabel screamed.
"Shhh," The stranger hushed her and wiped a teardrop that had fallen from her eye.
"It's no use, no one will hear you. We are all alone right now"
"Let me go, I beg of you. Please don't hurt me" Mabel burst out in tears.
"It's so sad how you want to leave me. Did you ever even care about me?"
"Yes, I did and I still do" Mabel tried to convince him.
"Don't lie to my face, you turned your back on me when I was at my lowest" The man said suddenly shouting.
Mabel flinched.
"No, I didn't leave you, I just ...I, I wa...wanted ...to.."
"What is it? You can't even make up an excuse"
" I'm sorry please, I promise you, I wouldn't leave you ever again"
The man chuckled.
" I will make sure of that," He said darkly.
Mabel watched as the man took out a knife from a drawer.
" What are you going to do to me?"
He didn't answer. He only went closer to her.
" Don't kill me please" Mabel pleaded with the man.
" Well that all depends on you"
The man crouched down and rested the sharp edge of the knife on Mabel's cheek.
"You know, you have never been pretty in my eyes, at least not as pretty as my Lia. Too bad we can't do anything to fix that. I guess I can only make it worse"
"No, you're crazy" Mabel yelled.
The man didn't hold himself back as he slashed her cheek with the knife. Fresh blood oozed out of the cut.
There was no way an injury as deep as that wasn't going to leave a mark.
Mabel cried from the pain, her tears mixed with the blood that ran down her face.
"Shhh, don't cry Mabel, I haven't even given you a real reason to cry yet"
...

"Aren't you going to pick up your damned phone?" Leo said as he glared at Mr. Black.
"I'm working right now, unless you don't need anything else and you are willing to give me the day off"
"Go and don't come back"
"As you wish" Mr. Black bowed his head and left Leo's office.
"What is it?" He asked the person on the other end of the phone.
"The DNA test result is out"
"What did it say?"
" The result came out..."
