CHAPTER SIXTY FOUR

Mr. Black?"
At the mention of his name, Mr. Black jolted awake.
"Ah, Mrs. King what a pleasant surprise to have you here," Mr. Black said.
***BOOM***, ***Ben fired.
"Fearless even in the face of death, you amaze me," Ben said.
He had shot the space behind Mr. Black.
"Why didn't you shoot?" Mr. Black asked.
"I guess it isn't your time yet, and remember this, I don't throw things away until they are completely useless"***
" Mr. Black," Diana said also.
" Ah, Diana is here too," Mr. Black said.
" What are you doing here?"
" Your father, that's what"
" What does he have to do with you?"
" I would love to answer your questions, right now. But if you have a way to get me out of these chains, then please do"
"Oh, right. I don't know if this will work, but I guess it won't hurt to try" Lia said and tried the other key. It opened.
Mr. Black happily stood up, but almost fell back down, who knows how long he had been cramped up on that rusty old chair.
"How long have you been here?" Diana asked.
" I don't know?"
" We have to go now, before..." Lia was cut off by the sound of Ben's voice.
" He is coming," Diana said and they all left the room they were in. It was hard for them, seeing as Mr. Black was swooping, causing them to slow down and no one knew where they were going.
All the hallways looked the same. Luckily for them, Ben had not caught up with them yet, but he was very close and they knew that.
" I should probably stop here," Diana said.
" Why?" Lia asked.
" I am the one that he wants"
" We can get out of this place together," Lia said.
" No, Diana is right. We should leave without her" Mr. Black stated and Lia nudged his arm.
" We aren't leaving you behind," Lia said.
" Please go"
" No".
" Lia listen to her, Ben won't kill her. We can come back for her later" Mr. Black tried to make Lia understand.
He could have abandoned both Lia and Diana, but as Leo's person, Lia was his top priority to protect.
" Fine, we will come back for you. I promise"
Diana nodded.
Mr. Black and Lia proceeded to continue going, but then Ben caught up to them.
" Ah, there you guys are," Ben said.
He aimed his gun at Lia and was about to shoot when Diana noticed him.
" Lia watch out" Diana shouted and Mr. Black turned around and saw Ben just in time to push her away. Mr. Black got hit instead.
" Hmm, I missed," Ben said.
" Mr. Black are you okay?" Lia asked.
The bullet hit Mr. Black's arm, so it was nothing too serious.
" Don't worry about me, we have to keep moving" Mr. Black said and they continued going.
Ben began to prepare his gun for the next shot.
" Stop it. I am here, what more do you want?" Diana yelled.
" You broke your promise again," Ben said.
" But I'm here"
" You were going to leave me"
" No, I am staying with you," Diana said.
" Fine, I will leave them. But only on one condition"
" What is it?" Diana eagerly asked.
" Drink this" Ben said and handed her a little bottle.
" What is this?" Diana asked.
"..." Ben said nothing.
Diana waited for his reply but it never came. So she opened the bottle lid and drank out of it. It tasted horrible.
Ben took the bottle from her hand and drank its remaining contents.
" I have already done what you asked, so please leave them alone," Diana said and Ben smiled.
" I will, but he won't survive," Ben said and Diana frowned.
" Why not? "
" It's a poisoned bullet"

Lia and Mr. Black had been walking for quite some time now, and he was growing weaker with every passing minute. He was covered with beads of sweat. His loss of blood wasn't helping either.
"Mr. Black are you okay?" Lia asked noticing his awful condition.
"As much as I hate to admit it, I feel weak," Mr. Black said.
"Please hold on, we will find our way out soon," Lia said.
" And what if we don't?" Mr. Black asked.
The thought of not being able to see Leo again suddenly came across Lia's mind. Now more than ever she wanted to be near Leo, to hug and kiss him.
" Please don't say that, we will make it out"
" You will, but I don't think I will be able to make it," Mr. Black said.
" Mr. Black..."
" Gideon," Mr. Black said.
" What?"
" Call me Gideon. It would be nice to hear someone say my name before I die" Mr. Black said weakly.
" Gideon..."
" Nope, never mind. Call me Black" he said and laughed.
" How can you joke at a time like this?" Lia said almost crying.
" If I don't make jokes now, then when?" Mr. Black said smiling.
"Please don't say things like that, you are going to see Liana again. You will see Ellie" Lia said.
"Ellie" Mr. Black repeated.
"Yes, Ellie. She is waiting for you, so please just hold on a bit" Lia said.
Mr. Black feeling too exhausted to continue walking slid down on the wall he was leaning against.
"Please wait here for me," Lia said and left.
She left Mr. Black and continued going. She finally came across a window. It was already getting dark outside. She pushed the window but it didn't budge.
Lia searched around her for anything she could use to break open the window. She found a metal rod laying on the ground. She quickly grabbed it and used it to hit the window several times until it finally broke. Lia used her hand to clear away the remaining pieces left on the frame, it left her with several cuts, but at that point, she didn't care.
When it was finally cleared up, Lia smiled and happily ran back to where she left Mr. Black, But he was no longer there. what was left were his blood stains.
"Mr. Black" Lia called out.
"Mr. Black" she screamed.
"Mr. Black, it's not funny. Come out, please" Lia cried.
But there wasn't any response. He was nowhere to be seen. With a heavy heart, Lia went back to the window and jumped down from it.
She had to get help for Diana and find Mr. Black.
She used the last of her energy to run into the road. But there weren't any cars as expected. Lia silently prayed, for someone, anyone to come.
She was about to give up, she was weak and tired.
Someone's headlight suddenly shined brightly on her face. She waved at the car and it stopped. Leo came out of the car and ran to meet Lia.
"Lia" Leo grabbed her and checked her for injuries.
She had cuts on her fingers, a hand print on her face, and bruises on her right arm.
"Leo" Lia said with a low tone.
"Don't speak Lia" Leo said as he carried Lia bridal style.
"Leo, they are still in there" Lia managed to choke out.
"Who?"
"Diana and Mr..." Lia said before she fainted.
***SEVEN YEARS LATER***
"Mummy, mummy" Lia's five-year-old twins came running to her. Liam and Layla.
"It's time for the two of you to go to school," Lia said.
"Mum, I don't want to go to school. I don't like School" Layla complained.
"Why?"
"Because Liam won't let me play with the other kids"
"Why won't you allow your sister to play with the other kids, Liam?" Lia asked.
"Because she only needs me to be with her, no one else. I will protect my little sister."
" I am older than you" Layla pointed out.
" It doesn't matter," Liam said.
" Liam, you should allow your sister to play with the other kids, okay? You guys can play together whenever you want, when you're at home"
Liam pouted.
" Fine"
" I can't wait for mummy to buy a baby girl from the store, so that you don't bother me anymore," Layla said to Liam and Lia laughed.
" Well, we don't need to buy any babies, when we can make as many as we want," Leo said as he appeared inside the kitchen.
He went straight to meet Lia and kissed her on her Lips.
"Eww, daddy is giving mummy germs," Liam said.
" Let's go before he gives it to us too," Layla said and they both ran away.
Satisfied that his children left, Leo began to kiss Lia again. He sucked on her tongue while his hands traveled to her butt and she moaned.
" No, Leo stop it," Lia said not wanting to start something they won't be able to finish.
" What is it?" Leo asked.
" I have to take the kids to school," Lia said.
" Let the driver do it," Leo said.
" I promised them, I would take them there"
" Sigh" " Fine, but prepare yourself for tonight," Leo said and kissed her one last time before leaving.
Lia took her bag and went to the car where the kids were already waiting for her.
Lia was about to drive past the donut shop and then Liam said that he wanted some donuts.
" Liam, you eat too much," Layla said.
" Leave me alone"
Lia pulled the car over and came down with the twins. Liam ordered the flavor of donut that he wanted and they were waiting for it, when Lia noticed that Layla was no longer with them.
"Where is Layla?" Lia asked Liam.
"I don't know mummy," Liam said.
"Wait here," Lia told him as she rushed outside the donut shop.
She went back to her car and didn't see Layla there. She had already started to panic, but then she heard Layla's voice.
"Mummy," Layla said from behind her.
She turned around and saw Layla but she wasn't alone. There was a man beside her.
"Still careless I see" The man commented.
Lia gasped.
"Mr. Black"
