Chapter Twenty

Vidya:

I woke up and realized that I slept for a long time. I looked at Jay as I am still on his lap. He smiled looking at me.

"Did you sleep peacefully?" Jay said

"Yes but why didn't you wake me up? I slept on your lap for a long time. Your legs might be aching. You didn't even go to office because of me."

"It's ok, sweet heart. How can I wake you up when you are in deep and peaceful sleep? Nothing gives me more happiness than my wife's happiness and peace. Anyways just now I thought to wake you up for lunch. I will bring lunch for us. You just get fresh," Jay said and I hugged him.

"You are so sweet," I said.

"Yup, I am. Doesn't you know that till now?"

"Yes because I saw only angry bird version of you until now."

Jay smiled and caressed my hair placing a kiss on my forehead.

"In the evening, we are going to the hospital," Jay said.

"Hospital? Why?"

"For check up. I think it's better to go for complete health check up once. If there are any complications we will know now itself."

"No. I won't come. I hate hospital and check up," I said, pouting.

"Sweet heart, don't behave as a kid."

"I am not coming. That's it."

"Ok but tell me the reason."

"I am afraid of hospital environment, injections, tablets and even that smell."

Jay started laughing seeing my frightened face and I glared at him.

"Sweet heart, When I am with you, even fear fears to come to you. Nothing can harm or hurt you. Trust me, there is no need to fear for a general health check up. I will be with you. So, When I am with you, there is no need to worry for anything," Jay said, looking at my eyes by holding my hands.

"I love you," I said.

Jay kissed me.

"I love you too."

"We love you too."

We turned back and saw Adi and Shwetha standing there.

"Yes, we love you too. But frankly we love sister in law more than you," Adi said.

"I won't be fighting with you on this, Adi. Because actually I too love your sister in law more than myself."

I blushed listening to Jay.

I am so lucky to have you, Jay. You married me by force. But in fact you saved me from the betrayal of Neel. Otherwise I would have missed all this true love and happiness. Thank you so much. I love you.

"We just came to give lunch to both of you. We won't disturb your romantic moments. But please make sure that you lock the door," Shwetha said.

"Shwetha, now it's really too much of teasing us. So can you please...

"You want to spend some free time with your wife. For that you need both of us to leave immediately. Why can't you say that directly, Jay? Ok anyways we are leaving. But don't forget to have food in between your romantic moments," Shwetha said.

"Now I won't leave you," Jay said.

"Oops, no. We are leaving."

Adi and Shwetha left and Jay locked the door.

"Why are you locking the room?"

"To spend time with my sweet wife. Do you have any objection?"

"No no. Why would I object if you wanna spend time with your wife? It's upto you and your wife."

Jay smiled looking at me and gave plate to me

I took the plate but didn't feel to eat it.

"What happened to you?"

"I don't know why but I don't want to eat this food. I feel nauseous."

"It's ok. Tell me what you want to eat."

"Anything which is a bit sour."

"Ok then I will prepare something for you. Wait for sometime. I will be back."

"It's ok. I will try to have it."

"No need, sweet heart. Just within ten minutes, I will be back."

Jay went and came back after ten minutes.

"Have it. Hope you will like it. If not please don't scold me," Jay said.

"Wow! Mango rice! I love it. Did you make this?"

"No. Neighbours made it and I borrowed from them."

Idiotic joke!

"Then who will make it? I made this for my wife and my baby."

"Thank you," I said.

"I don't want your thanks like this. I want it in my style."

I blushed and bent my head.

"Why do you blush everytime I ask you for a kiss. After all I am your husband, isn't it?"

"You are crazy," I said.

"Thank you and I know that. Now give me a kiss for making such a delicious rice for you."

"Delicious?? Who knows how it is?"

"Taste it and see."

I tasted and kept my face horribly to tease him.

"Is it not tasty?? I am sorry. Are you ok?"

I laughed seeing Jay's expressions and tension.

"It's very tasty. I just love it," I said and then kissed Jay for cooking it with full of his love.

We both had our lunch.

"Shall I ask you one thing?"

Jay nodded.

"The love which you are showing is on me or our baby?"

Jay smiled and hugged me from the side.

"Why did you get such a stupid doubt?"

"Because you always used to be angry at me for everything. But after knowing about my pregnancy, you are so sweet and not at all angry. That's why, I got a doubt."

"I love you, Vidya. I really love your character, nature, behavior, caring, patience, empathy everything. This love is totally for you. I want you to be happy. I am not serious today because after knowing that you are going to give me awesome gift, I really felt very happy. Really after a long time, again I am so happy. And this is all just because of you. I love you."

"I love you too, Jay. I hope that you will be happy forever from now."

In the evening, Jay took me to the hospital for check up. Jay stood at the reception.

"Vidya, you go and sit in the waiting room. I will come after taking the file and completing formalities."

I nodded and was going from there. Suddenly I collided with someone in the waiting room.

"I am sorry," I said and shocked looking at the person. He is Neel. I got irritated and decided to leave from there immediately. Neel caught my hand.


"How are you, Vidya?" Neel said.

I freed my hand immediately and looked at him disgustingly.

"Just get lost, Neel."

"I hope you are happy with your husband. So how is your so called husband who married you for revenge? I don't understand why girls always fall for either cheaters or the actors."

"Shut up, Neel. You have no right to talk about Jay. He is neither an actor nor a cheater like you."

"Let's see. Anyways you thought the same about me too when you were in love with me. So, don't be so blind in love. Who knows? Jay also might be acting same as I did. And remember I am always ready to marry you if anything happens to you."

Neel said and leaned towards me. I raised my hand to slap him but shocked seeing Jay. Jay caught my hand to stop me from slapping Neel.

"Jay, you don't what he is talking and doing. He is....."

"Neel, now it's more than enough what you have done for us. Please stop it and don't frame yourself negatively anymore," Jay said.

Neel turned another side and his eyes filled with tears.

"Jay, what are you saying?"

"Yes, Vidya. He didn't betray you. He loved you truly. When you told that he betrayed you, I enquired about him to take revenge against him for cheating and hurting you. But I came to know that he truly loves you."

"But on that day I heard him saying...."

"Yes, I will tell you everything. On that day you called Neel and he understood what you meant to say. As he knew well about you, he was sure that you would respect marriage and our relationship. But he too knew that you would feel guilty throughout your life for hurting him. So he decided to frame himself as a cheater before you to make you guilt free and happy. I came to know all this just before two days."

"I am really so sorry, Neel," I said.

"It's ok, Vidya. I support your decision. Love may not turn into marriage sometimes but marriage should have love in it. You did the right thing by understanding it's value and keeping up your relationship with Jay. Don't be sorry. You didn't do anything wrong.

Because if you love me and marry someone for money or status, it's wrong. But you married him for saving your parents. You are not at all wrong because you had no other option at that time. Whatever finally you both are happy, that matters now. Leave everything and forget about the past. Just chill, Vidya," Neel said.

I smiled and Neel caught my hands in a friendly manner but I freed my hands immediately as I know how possessive Jay is about me. I looked at Jay and he hid his feelings, giving us a fake smile. Neel understood everything seeing us and smiled.

"I am sorry. Ok, take care you both. Bye," Neel said.

"You too take care, bye," Jay said.

"Neel, one minute," Jay said.

Jay hugged him.

"Thank you. I don't know what to say other than this. If you both want to be friends, I don't have any objection," Jay said, smiling at me.

"Actually we are always friends and we would be happy if you too join with us as a friend," Neel said.

"Sure. I would like to have a friend like you."

Jay shook his hand with Neel as a friend. Jay smiled at me asking me to shook hand with Neel. I too joined hands with them. Neel once again hugged Jay and gave a side hug to me and left from there.

"Didn't you feel possessive now?"
