Chapter Thirty

Jay:

I went home earlier but I couldn't find Vidya in our room.

Where is Vidya? She doesn’t even call me informing that she will be late. Now a days she is not behaving like this. After that incident, she changed a lot and not going anywhere without informing me. I hope everything is fine and nothing happened to her.

Thinking this I went to the kitchen to take water and saw Vidya in thd kitchen. I felt relaxed and hugged her from the back.

"Jay, when did you come? Sorry, I didn’t notice."

"Just now. It's ok. What my sweetheart is doing? Where are the maids?"

"I am preparing food for my husband. I asked maids to go early today as I thought I can cook today," Vidya said.

"Ok, then I will help you."

"You first go and get freshen up. I can complete the cooking," Vidya said.

"No. I will help you. But first give me a cup of coffee made by you," I said, holding her hands. Vidya smiled at my naughtiness and gave coffee to me. As Vidya is cutting the vegetables, I hugged her from the back and caught her hands making her cut the vegetables.

"Is this the help which you said," Vidya said.

"Of course, darling," I said.

"Wow. So sweet. Both of us are doing the same work. Do you know something, Jay?"

"What?"

"Whenever you helps me, it takes long time to finish cooking than if I do it alone. So you please go and wait in the dining table. I will finish it off faster."

"Are you scolding me indirectly?" I said.

"No. Not indirectly, I am scolding you directly," Vidya said.

"Are you not scared of me?" I said.

Vidya turned towards me and smiled.

"No. You are my courage. I can do anything when you are with me. Because you gave that confidence to me. You taught many things to me. Because of you I left all my fears and insecurities. Now a days I am not scared of anyone. You completely removed my fears. I love you," Vidya said.

I held both her hands and kissed them.

"I love you too," I said.

"I want to ask you something."

"Tell me, Vidya," I said.

"I… I want…."

"Just now you said that you won’t fear for anything or anyone. So, tell me what do you want. Don’t let the ghost of fear come over you again."

"I want two lakhs," Vidya said with hesitation.

"One minute," I said and went to the room. I brought the cheque book and gave a cheque of two lakhs to Vidya.

"Don’t you even feel to ask the reason?" Vidya said.

"No. I am confident that you won’t ask money without any reason and that reason will be good for sure. If I question you the reason it means I am curbing your freedom to spend the money. You have right over me and everything that belongs to me."

"I went to the hospital today to see mom and dad. I asked money for their treatment. As both are unconscious, I don’t know what to do. So I asked you."

"That's ok. Don’t worry. I will take care of their treatment," I said.

"Thank you so much," Vidya said.

"You are my wife and I will do anything for you," I said.

"But I thanked you for marrying me."

"What?"

"Yes, Jay. Thank you for marrying me. If it's not you, I would have never been this happy and free to lead my life as per my wish."

"Free?? But I feel sometimes being angry at you for not coming home on time or not informing me, makes you feel restricted," I said.

"No. It's just your caring for me and not restrictions to me."

"Thank you for understanding me, Vidya," I said.

Vidya kissed me on the cheek. We had the dinner. Vidya is taking off her jewellery near the dressing table and I hugged her from the back.

"Please, leave me, Jay," I said.

"No. I can’t leave you anymore," I said, teasing her.

"Wh…what?"

Vidya was shocked as she didn’t listen such words from me these days. I turned her towards me and then pinned her to the wall. I came close to her. I pulled her closer by keeping my hand on her waist and then, kissed her lips softly. I left her and saw into her eyes.

"I can’t stop myself anymore. I want you," I said.

Vidya shocked as the doctor told us that it's danger for her life to get intimate and seeing my weird behavior even after knowing this.

"Why are you silent? Don’t you love me?" I said.

"No. I love you. If you want me, I would never say a no. I am your wife and you hav all rights over me," Vidya said.

"But doctor said it's not good for your health," I said.

Vidya didn’t speak anything. I gave her the medical reports.

"Now it's not danger for your life. If it's not good for your health, I would never behave like this. Because for me only you are important," I said. Vidya hugged me and kissed me.

"The doctor said that you can start treatment from the next week to get conceived. Are you happy now?" I said.

"Yes, I am so happy," Vidya said, hugging me tightly.

We talked for a long time happily and as everything is fine with Vidya, I thought of meeting Suhana.

"Shall we go tomorrow to meet Suhana?" I said

"Sure. I too miss my brother, Suhana and Shwetha a lot. Let's inform to Adi, Vicky and Karthi too to come there. I want to meet them all," Vidya said.

I agreed with her and called Suhana and Kiran but no one received the call. I called Shwetha but of no reply. I was frightened as there was no response. Vidya switched on the TV and called me. I went to her immediately.


"What happened to you, Vidya?" I said.

Vidya showed the news telecasting on the TV. I was shocked watching the news.

"The great sacrifice of IAS Suhana and IAS Kiran. They saved the Prime Minister and thousands of people attended for Independence parade at New Delhi by saceificing their lives. Nation salutes them.

Suhana was accused of committing a scam but this incident proved her patriotism and her sincerity once again to the whole nation. But how do they know about the plan of bomb blast and how they came at the correct time is still a mystery to be solved by our Police Department. Let's hope that they will get justice to them by catching the culprits who planned this bomb blast," the reporter said.

They showed the dead bodies of Suhana and Kiran. I was unable to control my tears. I remembered my childhood fights with Suhana, correcting me when I ruined my life, protecting me everytime.
