Chapter Thirty One

Jay PoV:

We completed cremation of dead bodies of Suhana di and Kiran jiju. Shwetha was missing and police are in search for her. A month passed by. Vidya and Adi became numb as they can't forget didi and jiju. Karthi and Vikky returned to us and refused to leave us.

"Vidya, don't be so dull. We can't bring them back but should fulfill their wishes. Be strong" I said.

Vidya nodded but there is no change in her. We are living under same roof but living different lives. Adi kept himself busy with studies. I joined Vidya for coaching to divert her from this. But she lost her focus.

After 3 months, I got call from hospital saying Vidya's parents came into conscious. We went to meet them.

"Jay, really I didn't kill your parents" uncle said.

"I am sorry uncle" I said

"Jay, I know where your parents are" he said but again lost his conscious.

After 10 days, we took them to their home. I came to my room and found Vidya in deep thinking.

"Vidya, are you ok" I asked and she looked at me and nodded.

"Do you want to say anything to me?" I asked.

"I.. Can.. I.. I.. Mean.. Shall.. I" she stopped looking into my eyes

"Tell me sweet heart" I said

"Nothing, come to dining hall. I will call everyone. Let's have dinner" she said and went to kitchen.

What is that she want to say to me? Why is she scared? Is it related to her parents? However I am not angry with her dad now. We had dinner and next day morning, she is getting ready.

"Vidya, pack your luggage" I said to her and she looked at me.

"What? I mean are we going anywhere?" She asked

"Ya to Delhi for a month. Get ready soon" I said observing her reactions.

"For a month?" She said sadly

"Ya, I have a concert and I feel you should be with me" I said to tease her.

"Is it compulsory for me to accompany you?"

"Do you have anything important here than me to stay back?"

She looked at me shockingly.

"No. I will come with you"

"That's better" I said.

"You said only to pack my luggage. What about your's?"

"Actually I am not coming with you. I am sending you to Delhi as I didn't want you to visit your parents to take care of them"

"But Jay, Suhana bhabhi already said that dad didn't do anything. What if I visit them? Please Jay, they are not well. As a daughter, it's my responsibility to look after them. I won't go to Delhi, that's it" she said.

"From when did you learn to argue with me and saying no to me?" I said seriously.

She didn't say anything and packed her luggage. She got into car and I took her to her maternal home. She looked at me.

"I know you want to stay with your parents till they recover. Stay as many days as you want. But don't forget your husband in taking care of your parents. I know your heart and I never hurt you" I said kissing her forehead.

"I love you Jay"

"Love you too baby"

"You too come inside, please" she said

I went with her to her maternal home.

"I am leaving Vidya here uncle" I said and before I complete my words, they gave worried expression.

"Jay, did Vidya do anything that you didn't like? She is so innocent Jay, she won't do mistakes easily. Please give her a chance" uncle said

"Uncle, no no, she didn't do anything wrong and I never leave her whatever happens. She wants to stay here with you till you both recover. So, I am dropping her here. She can come back to her home whenever she wants" I said

"We will manage beta. How will you manage all works without her? She no need to stay here leaving you" aunt said

"Of course aunty, it's difficult but not because of the work she does. Because I am well habituated to do my work by myself as I stayed in Australia. But, surely I will miss her love and care" I said looking at Vidya and she pouted hearing my words.

Cute pout. If we are alone, I would have pulled her into my lap and kiss her sweetly.

"Ok beta, if you have any problem, tell us and we will send Vidya" uncle said and I nodded.

I am talking to them and I got call from Adi saying that my parents called him. He said address told by them. I said this to Vidya and her family. We all went to the address. I met mom and dad. They felt happy to see me and Adi but not Vidya and her family.

"Why did they come here?" Dad asked

"Dad, Vidya is my wife" I said and
explained everything.

Dad slapped me.

"Dad"

"How can you marry someone who had affair with someone else before marriage" dad said shocking me.

"Dad, Vidya is not that type. I agree that she loved some one. But I trust her character. She never keep affair with anyone"

"No Jay, we knew well about her. She was arrested in a raid and it's me who done virginity test to her at that time. She is not a virgin. I checked the reports" mom said and I didn't understand anything.

However I knew she never do anything like that. I held her hand tight.

"Mom, more than any reports, I trust my wife" I said

"What aunty saying was true Jay. I am not a Virgin" Vidya said breaking my heart.

Why did she hide it from me?

"Whatever, it's past Vidya. Now you are my wife and loves only me. It's enough for me" I said still holding her hand.

"I love Neel, not you" Vidya said again.

"What? It's you who said you forgot him and loving me" I said.

"Yes, but it's just because I thought Neel betrayed me. But after knowing truth, I love only him" she said.

"Enough Vidya. Shut your mouth now. We will talk later" I yelled at her.

"Leave her hand Jay. It's wrong to force a girl when she doesn't love you" dad said

"Dad she loves me. She even attempted suicide for me. She is just lying because of something" I said

"No, I don't love you" she said freeing her hand from me.

Leaving me in confusion she left with her parents. What happened to her? Is she mad? Why is she lying?
