Chapter Twenty One

Vidya PoV:
"Didn't you feel possessive now?" I said.

"I trust you. Just holding hand or hugging a person shouldn't be viewed wrong. It depends on the persons and the way they do it. When he held your hand, you freed it and looked at me. It made me feel guilty. I felt I overreacted. I shouldn't do so. You both are just friends and are pure in your feelings. So, I don't have any objection. And I am sure that you know well how to react with whom."

"Thank you, Jay," I said, holding his arm and pulling him closer to me.

"Okay. Come let's go to the doctor."

We went to the doctor and the doctor tested me.

"Nothing to worry, Mr.Jay. Vidya is fine but a bit weak. She needs to take proper food and rest. Nutritious diet is compulsory for her to avoid further complications," the doctor said.

"Ok, doctor.Thank you. I will take care of her."

We both reached home.

"Look, you are so weak. That's why I told you to take proper diet. You are so careless about your health," Jay said in a serious tone.

"Don't scold me. Baby will cry," I said.

"Which baby? My baby or our baby?" Jay said, coming close to me.

"What? Who is your baby?"

"My baby is you, sweet heart."

"I am not a baby. Within a few months, I will be giving birth to a baby."

"Then why do you always cry as if baby cries for chocolates?"

"You are so irritating. I won't talk to you."

"Really?"

Jay came near to me and kissed on my forehead.

"Are you still angry with me?"

I shook my head in no.

"Then promise me that from today you will have proper diet and rest."

"I promise you."

"Lasya," Jay said.

"What?"

"Lasya is calling."

"So what?" I said.

"I am thinking whether to receive it or not."

"Receive the call. We will know why she is calling you."

Jay kept it on speaker.


"Hello," Jay said.

"Jay, I need to meet you. Please meet me once," Lasya said.

"Look, I am not interested to meet you."

"But I want to tell you one important thing."

"You can tell that even on phone."

"On that day, I thought we both got intimated, but no. It's all Aroh's plan to ruin your career. Just now he showed me the video," Lasya said, shocking us.

"Jay, I am sorry. Actually what happened was....." Aroh tried to say.

"Lasya, you can come to my office," Jay said.

"When?"

"Now," Jay said.

"Ok. I am coming."

Jay disconnected the call and looked at me.

"We are going to our office immediately."



We started and reached the office. Already Lasya and Aroh were waiting for us. Lasya played the video.

It's shown that Jay was drunk and went to his room alone. Early in the morning Aroh brought Lasya who was in a drunken state and made her to sleep beside Jay. Aroh removed Jay's clothes. Someone a girl who came with Aroh tore Lasya's clothes and went off from there. After some time Lasya came into conscious and looked at herself. She got shocked and thought something happened between them and she said the same to Jay.

Jay saw the whole video and slapped Aroh.

"Lasya, why did you went away from me after that?" Jay said.

"I told her that I have the video in which you both got intimated. I blackmailed her saying that I will upload the video on the internet if she refuses to join in my band. She accepted to sing in my band and she acted as if she cheated you.

You thought everything true and addicted to drugs and alcohol. Actually you are not addicted, I made you to addict to drugs. As I hoped, you almost ruined your career but unfortunately your sister came to visit you. She took you to deaddiction centre and cured you. She changed you completely and because of her, you recovered soon and started your career afresh and suceeded.

Jay remembered everything and tears rolled from his eyes. I patted him on his shoulder to comfort him.

"I am sorry for troubling you till now. Now I am going to marry Aroh. I will never trouble you again. Bye," Lasya said.

"I am sorry, Jay. I didn't realise my mistake until I realised my love for Lasya. I love Lasya and that feeling changed me. I know you can't forgive me. But once again I am sorry," Aroh said and they both left from there.


Suhana is a very good IAS who sacrificed her life for people. She is a good sister who made her brother realise what is life. She is perfect both professionally and personally. I misunderstood her but now I am sure she didn't do anything wrong. Because the one who taught principles and values to her brother, can never leave her own principles and values.

I came into sense and saw Jay. He is still in tears remembering Suhana. Jay hugged me and cried. I too became emotional seeing him like that. I patted on his back to console him.

"Jay, please, control yourself."

"Vidya, my sister helped me a lot whenever I need her. She saved me from all hurts and problems. But I couldn't do anything for her. When she needs me the most, I am not with her. It's my fault."

"Don't blame it on you, Jay. You are a very good brother and son. You are fighting now for your family. I know how much you are struggling every minute. If you know what's happening here at that time, you would have definitely saved your sister and family. But, you didn't know anything. So it was not your mistake. Don't be sad."

Jay controlled himself.

"You told you will prove about that fake Kiran soon. Two days are already finished."

"I will prove the truth soon. Just give me one more day," I said.

Jay nodded. My phone rang.

"Hello, dad," I said and Jay turned another side to control his anger listening her words.

"How are you, beta?"

"I am fine. How are you? Are you fine now?"

"Yes, I am fine. I am at home now. Can you give mobile to Jay once," dad said and I didn't understand what to do.


Jay looked at me and I told him that dad wants to talk to him.

Jay agreed to talk to him. I kept it on speaker.

"I need to say one important thing to you. Your parents are alive. I came to know where they are. But I didn't know about Suhana and Kiran. I am sure this is not my son Kiran. I will try my best to get your parents safe from there. But please trust me, I didn't do anything to your family. Infact how can I suffer my sister's family and kill my own son. Please trust me, Jay. My family and your family is also in danger. I don't know how long I will be alive but......"

The call was disconnected.

"Hello, hello."

"What happened to dad? Who is his sister?"

"My mom is your dad's sister. Let's go fast to your home," Jay said.

We went to my maternal home and saw mom and dad in blood. They were shot. We were shocked seeing them like that. Jay saw that still they are alive and took them to the hospital. We admitted them in the hospital.

"Vidya, please don't cry. Nothing will happen to them," Jay said.

"But who did this? Why?"

"I too don't know. We have to find it out. But don't worry. Everything will be fine."

I and Jay sat on the chairs and I leaned on his shoulder with tears. For the whole night, we both sat there. In the morning, Jay woke me up.

"Vidya, your mom and dad are ok now but still unconscious. You go to home and have some rest and food. I will be here."

"No, I won't go anywhere. I can't leave them alone," I said.

"I will take care of them," Jay said.

"No, I can't trust....." I said but stopped my words seeing his face.

"Ok. You don't trust me. It's ok."

Jay was about to leave and I was frightened thinking that he is leaving me there alone.

"Where are you going? I am sorry I didn't mean.."

"I am going out to call Shwetha to bring breakfast for you. I am not going anywhere and I won't and can't leave you for every small thing. I know you are upset. So let's talk about your words later. Not now," Jay said.

"No no. I am sorry. I will go home and will come back after some time. I trust you," I said.

"It's ok. Do as you wish," Jay said.

"Jay, don't talk like that. I am already so worried about mom and dad. I need your support now a lot. If you talk like this and leave me, I can't bear it. Please understand," I said.

Tears appeared in my eyes. Jay wiped my tears.

"Don't cry. It's ok. But don't ever say that you don't trust me. It breaks my heart."

"No. I really trust you. I never say it again. Ok, then shall I leave now?"

"No, not alone. Adi will come to pick you. You are not allowed to go alone. That too in this stage. You are so tired and worried. I texted Adi. He will come soon."

Adi came after a few minutes.

"Vidya, remember be very careful. Adi, you too. Tell this to Shwetha, Karthi and Vikky. Be in touch with me all of you. After her break fast, drop her here again. After reaching the home, give me a call. I want to talk with everyone once."

"We will take care. Don't worry," Adi said.

"Ok. Vidya, don't worry. I will take care of your parents."

We left from there. I remembered something and called Jay.
