My Sunday
"Rachit's point of view,"
I'm not sure why I've been so restless since Riya told me about her relationship.
I'm jealous of her boyfriend, even though I've never met him.
I'm the second person in the office who knows about her personal life.
Why can't I ever win first place in my life?
I can't stand Riya and Ashish's friendship.
When I see her with her lover, I'm not sure how I'll react.
I know I have no right to meddle in her affairs, but I'm not sure why my interest in her life has grown.
She asked if I considered her a friend at lunch today.
I couldn't say anything in front of her, even though I knew the answer to her question.
I like her.
I don't believe in love at first sight, but after meeting Riya, I feel as if everything is pushing me in her direction.
After seeing her online, I sent her a WhatsApp message.
I'd like to learn everything I can about her.
Her likes, dislikes, hobbies, and goals.
But her slow replies made me understand she didn't want to chat with me.
That's why I openly asked, "Is she busy?"
Her response confirmed my suspicions that she was still attempting to avoid me.
I had planned to meet up with a friend on Sunday, but he could not do so owing to work obligations.
I was sitting in the mall's food court, watching people come and go when my gaze was drawn to a table in the far corner of the food court.
Riya looked stunning in a black top and open hair, but she wasn't alone; a young man accompanied her.
My subconscious speculated, "Perhaps this is Riya's boyfriend."
From afar, I observed the boy.
He was about as tall as I was.
His physical state was likewise excellent.
He most likely headed to the food counter after asking Riya for the order.
Riya has an excellent boyfriend.
She was right; she doesn't like me.
I gave Riya a mournful look and shifted my gaze to the side, but I didn't ignore her for long. So I returned my focus to Riya's table, but she had moved to a different chair.
Perhaps she has noticed me and is attempting to ignore me.
After a while, her boyfriend arrived at the table, and the two of them got up from their seats and stood up to depart.
I'm not sure why I couldn't resist walking in front of her.
As I approached Riya's table, I remarked, "Hello, Riya."
It shocked her expression as she heard my voice.
"Hello," she said tentatively.
She introduced me to her boyfriend, Harsh, but she wasn't sure whether to call me a friend or a coworker as she introduced me to Harsh.
When I saw her confused look, I reached out to Harsh and said I was Riya's coworker.
It surprised me to see so many shopping bags on the table and vacant chairs and exclaimed, "So many shopping bags!"
"All the shopping bags belong to Riya," Harsh replied, pointing to Riya.
Harsh's teasing enraged Riya, and the two of them began arguing.
Their quarrel, however, was devoid of any anger; they were simply teasing each other.
Hearing their taunts made me laugh continually.
"Relax Guys," I said as they noticed my presence.
They both apologized for their actions in unison.
"Do you fight like this all the time?" I inquired, surprised.
Harsh teased Riya, "No, when Riya is in a fighting mood."
Harsh's demeanor was extremely amusing.
I made fun of Riya's shopping after seeing her angry expression.
"I shouldn't pull her leg like Harsh," she added, looking at me.
"How am I going to replace Harsh?" I'm not sure how the secret in my heart found its way out of my mouth.
"What do you mean?" She inquired, surprised.
I handled the situation by saying that I am not skilled at pulling your leg like Harsh.
Harsh proudly stated that they have been together for 7 years after listening to me.
With considerable astonishment, I looked at the pair sitting in front of me. I couldn't believe the Riya in front of me was the same Riya, who was always angry with me while behaving so sweetly with Harsh, despite his mockery of her.
By extending the menu card towards me, Riya smashes the bubble of my thoughts.
I replied, "Black coffee," without looking at the menu card.
Riya's face changed color as she saw me again.
"Are you a fan of black coffee as well?" Harsh had enquired about me.
Yes, I nodded.
"Riya enjoys black coffee as well," Harsh replied, lovingly staring at Riya.
"Do you want black coffee as well?" Harsh asked Riya.
Riya smiled and nodded.
Harsh stood up and walked over to the counter to place the order.
I promised him I'd come on my own, but he insisted on ordering me the next time we met.
I sat silently in my chair.
Riya was becoming increasingly irritated by my presence.
For a long time, I couldn't stop myself from saying, "You seem even more gorgeous with your hair open," as I gazed at her lovely face.
In hushed tones, she said, "Thank you."
She excused herself from me and went to the restroom.
At the food counter, I noticed Harsh.
Harsh isn't possessive of Riya; he simply left her with me.
If I had been in Harsh's place, I would not have allowed Riya to sit close to any other boy.
Why is Riya never as at ease with me as she was with Harsh today?
Will Riya have informed Harsh about my affair?
I don't believe Riya told Harsh anything about me, but I could be mistaken, and she did.
Harsh asked me about Riya while keeping the coffee on the table, jolting me out of my reverie.
I told Harsh, "Riya has gone to the washroom," but Harsh's face was concerned about Riya's absence.
Relax, she'll be here soon, "I said," but he didn't sit in his chair until he saw Riya approaching from the front.
I couldn't help but notice that Riya didn't appear to be paying attention to what was going on around her.
"Where have you been for such a long time?" Harsh inquired, concerned about Riya.
Harsh's anxiety was relieved when she said, "I was in the restroom."
Harsh reminded her, "Your black coffee is now cold coffee."
Riya drank the entire coffee in the mug in one breath and motioned for Harsh to return.
She attempted to lift all of her shopping bags unaided, but because of the large quantity of bags, she could not do so.
Harsh demanded that she hand over some bags in his hand, but she refused, claiming that he would tease her afterward.
Harsh apologized to her right away for his remark.
She forgave him right away, but she still had a lot of bags in her hands.
I reached out my hand to help her and asked her to give me some bags, but she said no.
With me, she acts differently.
She handed Harsh her things with ease.
"Why are you so stubborn?" I questioned her, frustrated.
It flushed her face with fear as she heard me.
Does Riya insist on being at the workplace, too? Harsh interrupted between us.
"No, there is no such thing," Riya quickly clarified to Harsh. "I do not know why he thinks I am stubborn."
"Oh?" I inquired, noting Riya's frightened demeanor.
This is the best chance I'll ever have to blackmail Riya. I grinned to myself as I pondered the situation.
Harsh asked me, ignoring Riya's words, "Rachit, tell me what Riya did in the office."
I simply stated, "She refused to eat lunch yesterday."
"You lied to me when I asked if you had lunch," he said, his gaze falling on Riya.
Riya glared at me before turning to Harsh and explaining herself.
Relax, Riya is stubborn, but not more than me. She didn't lie to you. I made her lunch.
I didn't want to cause a misunderstanding or a squabble between them.
Once again, he expressed his gratitude to me and inquired why Riya had skipped lunch.
Perhaps Riya could not respond to Harsh's inquiry, so I told him she needed to submit a report, and Harsh believed me.
She asks Harsh to return home.
"Will you let me pick up the shopping bag now?" I questioned Riya.
In exchange, she gave me all of her bags.
Harsh and I couldn't stop laughing when we saw her fury.
I was strolling with Harsh, and Riya was walking slowly behind us, lost in thought.
I took it easy and attempted to keep up with Riya.
Riya was angry with me and was about to yell at me, but I was staring at us in the front mirror of the store and didn't hear her.
"She is the perfect match for me."
"Perfect," I remarked in the mirror, looking at Riya.
She followed my gaze to the mirror, where she saw a reflection of both of us. Her face was flushed.
She dashed towards Harsh, taking quick steps to avoid me.
And then she sat in his car.
Harsh expressed his gratitude and expressed regret for Riya's behavior.
He said that Riya sometimes acts like a child, becoming emotional and ignoring practical matters.
I informed Harsh that I was aware of her sincerity.
Riya sat in the car, listening to what we were saying.
She lowered the car's window and informed Harsh that we were running late.
Harsh bid me farewell, impressed by my demeanor.
He told me he didn't believe that we had just met.
I told him the same thing.
When I peered out her window to say goodbye, she became enraged and lifted the glass of her car, saying nothing.
I couldn't stop giggling when I saw her fury.
I moved towards my car, tossing my car keys in the air.
This girl is completely insane, and she has now driven me insane as well.
When I saw Riya seated in the car passing in front of me, I started the engine and said.
