I am back
"Riya's point of view,"
"Hey, what's up?" I asked Harsh as soon as he got the phone.
"So, did you miss me after all?" He taunted me.
"There is nothing like it." In a guilty tone, I answered.
"Yes, but I'll be back today."
"Oh,Are you serious?" He inquired, his voice full of excitement.
"Yes, but it would be a late night for me by the time I arrived in Gurgaon."
"Don't worry, I'll come to get you. I eagerly await your return, Riya."
"Bye," I was drowning in guilt after speaking with him, so I ended the call by not speaking with him for a long time.
Oh my God, what have I done on this trip? How am I going to deal with Harsh now?
"Will you change seats with me, Ashish?" Rachit stated, almost as if he was giving Ashish an order.
It took aback Ashish when he heard Rachit.
"You don't want a window seat, do you?" He inquired, greedily, about Ashish.
"No, sir, I'm comfortable here. Thank you so much for your offer." Ashish turned Rachit's offer down.
"You don't want to sit next to Shweta, do you?"Rachit inquired, demonstrating his ability to become entrapped on the web of his words.
"Yes," Ashish answered, jumping from his seat with excitement.
"Seat 7 in the 4th Line,"Rachit said to Ashish as he sat next to me.
"Oh my god, what do you want?" Rolling my eyes, I mumbled.
"Aren't you happy that I'm here?" Rachit inquired, his gaze falling on my face.
"No, there isn't anything like that."
"So, what's the deal with you being so quiet?" While holding my hand in his, he inquired.
"What are you doing? What if someone sitting nearby noticed us like this?" I inquired, removing my hand from his grasp.
"So let them see. I'm not afraid of anyone." He said, again grabbing my hand in his.
"If you do not listen to me clearly, I will have no choice but to get up and leave."
"No, please don't do that. I'll sit quietly." My hand was no longer in his.
"Please try to understand my point."
He put headphones in his ears, closed his eyes, and feigned sleep without responding to my statements.
This boy's mood swings. Oh, my god.
It was almost 1:30 a.m. when we returned to Gurgaon.
I stood on the road outside my office after getting off the bus, waiting for Harsh.
"So, how about if I drive you back to your place?" Rachit inquired as he peered through the window of his car, seeing me standing alone.
"No, I'll be OK."
Rachit didn't even talk to me the entire time we were on the bus, and now he's worried about me.
"Please, don't be so obstinate. Let's get in the car and sit down." He stepped out of his car and said.
"Let's go home, Riya." Harsh approached me from behind and said.
I felt like a criminal when Harsh appeared in front of me out of nowhere.
"But where is your car?" As I glanced around the road, I inquired.
"Madam, have you forgotten that your entire office staff has just left?" He remarked this while flinging the car key in his hand.
"Okay, Riya. I believe I should leave right now." Rachit spoke in hushed tones.
When he saw Harsh in front of him, it filled him with rage, sorrow, and jealousy. Even if I wanted to, I couldn't help him.
"Thank you, Rachit, for looking after my Riya late at night on the deserted road." Harsh replied, his arms encircling my waist.
"No issue." Rachit struggled to get the words out of his mouth.
"Late enough now." Harsh snatched the trolley bag from my grip and headed towards the parked car a little distance from the office, his hand on my waist.
I looked back and saw that Rachit was still in his car, watching me go with Harsh.
"Riya, what happened? Since your return, you've been a lot quieter than usual." Harsh inquired as he unlocked the house's main door.
"No, there isn't anything like that; it's just a little tiredness."
I'm afraid I won't be able to tell him everything right now. I'm not sure how I'm going to shatter his heart. I'm sorry, but I'm not up to it.
"Would you like to have a cup of tea?"
"Because I'm exhausted right now, I will not prepare tea." While resting in my bed, I responded.
"The only thing I want you to do is to sip, not brew." Harsh stated as I lay on my side in bed.
My heart started racing as soon as he approached me.
What if Harsh finds out about everything?
"Harsh, I'm going to the bathroom to change my clothes."
I'm not sure why, but when I get close to him, I was feeling a little uneasy.
"Riya, I've missed you." He said this as he drew me closer to him. Because of his abrupt pull, I landed on his chest.
"I'm tired and want to sleep. I have to go to work the next morning."
I said, my voice annoyed.
"Okay, you change your clothes, and I'll brew tea and bring it to you." He walked to the kitchen and left me alone on the bed.
I didn't enjoy talking to Harsh in this manner at all, but now that Rachit has touched me, I'm not sure why I don't like Harsh's touch anymore.
"Your tea, Riya." While placing tea on the bedside table, Harsh jolted me out of my thoughts.
"Do you trust me, Harsh?" I inquired, my voice trembling as I sipped my tea.
"Even more so than I, but why are you asking this question now?" He stared at me with a puzzled expression on his face.
My heart plummeted more into remorse as I heard Harsh's comments. What happens if Harsh's trust is betrayed? Is he going to forgive me?
In Harsh's eyes, I can see how much he loves me. How can I see the hatred in these eyes for myself?
"What would you do if I broke your trust in the future?" I summoned the guts to question him.
"Riya's night is enough. We have to go to work tomorrow as well. Let's go to bed now, and we'll talk about the rest tomorrow." Harsh then turned out the lights in the room and laid down next to me.
