Mood swings

"Riya's point of view,"

After taking a day off yesterday, I had a lot of work that needed to be completed, but owing to the obstinacy of this idiotic Rachit, I'm forced to do testing reports for a tonne of different products first, leaving all of my other urgent tasks incomplete.

I'm not sure what caused his sudden rage, but he didn't do well by bringing his issues into the thick of his professional job.

I checked the time on my wristwatch and wondered, "It's eleven o'clock in the morning now. 5 PM will complete all of my reports if I work nonstop without taking a break. Yes, it will be fine."
There was no time to waste, so I headed directly to the testing lab.

"Angad, please contact all the team members immediately."

"What happened? Is there a problem? Is there anything wrong?" He asked in an anxious tone.

"There's nothing to be concerned about; we're just going to talk about some urgent issues." I didn't want to cause him any anxiety by keeping him guessing, so I told him everything before the meeting.
My team members were told to put all other work on hold and finish the testing reports.

I had been so preoccupied with creating testing reports with my team for the last four hours that I had completely forgotten about lunch. When Ashish called to invite me to lunch, I checked the time on my wristwatch.
Because of me, my teammates could not take their lunch break.I am not only responsible because of Rachit, my team members are also feeling the effects of it.

"Angad, take a lunch break." I don't want my team to work while ignoring their meals.

"All right, ma'am, we'll be back as soon as we finish our lunch." In a terrified tone, Angad said.

Why are these guys so terrified of me? Do I appear to be particularly frightened, or do I have horns growing from my head?

"It's fine. Enjoy your lunch break properly more than half of the reports are finished; you guys come in and finish the rest after lunch."

"Are you not going to have lunch, madam?" When Shweta saw me working alone in the lab, she inquired.

"I'm not hungry at all.You take your lunch break." I needed to have these testing reports done as soon as possible so that I could finish my unfinished work on time.

"I'm not hungry either, so I'll sit here and help you."

"Are you sure?"

"Without a doubt."
Because of an unexpected stomach ache, I sat on the side of the chair with my stomach clutched.

"Ma'am, what's happening to you? Your health isn't looking good." Shweta inquired, her voice concerned.

I said, pushing my hands against my stomach, "No, only because of period cramps."

"Oh, I see. You'll feel better after eating this chocolate, right?"

"Thank you, Shweta."
I took the chocolate from her hand, unwrapped the chocolate wrapper, and began eating the chocolate right away.

"I think you should take a break."

"No, these reports are extremely important, and I must submit them by today's deadline." I got out of my chair and returned to my desk.
"But as for your health."
"Relax. I will manage." I reassured Shweta.

I completed all the testing reports before 5 p.m. Whenever I have a task that needs to be completed urgently, my team is always there to help me out with their dedication and hard work.

"Shweta, this time properly check the soft copy of the testing report; I hope you recall what happened the last time." Angad reminds Shweta of the previous time she made a mistake.

Shweta responded nervously, "Trust me, madam, I've double-checked all the reports this time."

"This is wrong, Angad; you can't keep taunting Shweta for the same mistake."

"Mam, But.."

"Don't worry, Angad; I'll double-check everything before sending the reports."

"Thank you so much for cooperating with me, everyone." I returned from the lab to my cabin, sending my team members back to their seats to finish the rest of their work.

I was attempting to finish my remaining work quickly after mailing the testing reports to Mr. Punia and Rachit so that I could get home on time.

Harsh's phone rang, causing me to look away from the laptop screen for a split second.
"Hello, you've been so busy today that you didn't even call me?" Harsh grumbled as soon as I received his phone call.

"So sorry. I had a lot of work to catch up on because of my leave of absence yesterday, and I had to get started right away when I got back to work this morning." This is the first time I have ignored him in this way. I always keep in touch with him, whether it's through text messages or phone calls.

"How is your health?"

"It's all right now."
I'd been working so hard since the morning that I couldn't even bring myself to sit in the chair.

"Riya, I'll be arriving home late tonight. You get home on time to rest and don't prepare dinner for me."

I hung up on Harsh and rested my head on the table in exhaustion.
The knock on the cabin door caused me to rise from my desk. Without looking at the door, I said, "Come in.

"I'd like a hard copy of these documents." Rachit took a position in front of my desk and spoke authoritatively.

"Sir, inform the office boy, and he will bring you the print and hand it over to you." I didn't have the energy to argue with him any longer.

"Is everything okay with you? Your face is entirely blackened."

"So, you've finally paid attention." I uttered my words in a whisper.

"What exactly did you say?"
He didn't hear, thank God.

"Nothing sir, is there anything more you'd like to do?" I'm already irritated by the way he behaved this morning. I don't want to ruin my mood by conversing with him any longer.

"Do you want to evict me from your cabin?"

"In that case, yes sir, this is exactly what I mean."

"You're seeking revenge on me for our early morning chat, right?"

"No way, sir. How can I do that? How can I possibly offend my senior, sir?"

"Good girl. Now get up, listen to your senior, and deliver the test report file to my cabin in hard copy."

"Okay," I inhaled deeply. Because of my frustration, I was in excruciating pain in my head. It's possible, however, that Rachit takes comfort in causing me problems.

"Sir, I've got your file." I said this as I stood outside his cabin door.

"Please come in. Please take a seat."

Rachit Khurana's mood swings, wow. No one can say that Rachit insulted me so much in the morning when they see him now.

"Here's your black coffee, Riya."

"What? I think my ears aren't working properly?"

"Riya, black coffee."

"Are you speaking to me, sir?"

"Yes, do you see anyone else here besides the two of us?"

"No way, sir." In my life, I have never seen a boy with more mood swings than a girl.

"Is it necessary for me to say it again?" He inquired, his finger pointing to the coffee mug. I took a sip of coffee from my coffee mug as quietly as possible.

"Why don't we go out to dinner today, Riya?" After listening to him, the coffee that had been filling my mouth suddenly burst forth.

"What exactly did you say?"

"Have you ceased hearing since this morning?"

"If you don't mind, sir, I'd want to ask you a question." This man's mood fluctuates as quickly as the Sensex.

"Yes, ask," Holding my hand on the table, he said.

"Do you have periods as well, sir?" I inquired as I let go of his grip on my hand.

"Do you still have any doubts about my manhood, Riya?" With a mischievous grin, he inquired.

After listening to him, I was both astonished and indignant, but I'm not sure where this silly blush on my face came from.

Mr. Dhawan's phone call on my phone protected me from Rachit's inane queries.

"Have you finished the test reports for the products I gave you for analysis, Riya?"
"No, sir, those reports need a little work right now."
"Riya, I need those reports right away. Could you please complete them and email them to me right away?"
"Yes, sir." I returned to my cabin without speaking to Rachit.

I postponed all of my important tasks today because of Rachit.

It was 8 p.m. when I left the office after finishing Mr.Dhawan's reports. I was waiting for the taxi, standing alone on the side of the road. Then Rachit pulled out in front of me and stopped his car.
