Chapter 48

When the missing peoples report started becoming an everyday thing and every investigation done led to a dead end, Copper brought up Violets' s case again and reminded them that the security footage didn't match the story she explained that night and she claimed that she had no memory after the attack but she got home.
When they say that that was the only story that seem to have a link, they decided to look for a connection for the case. They decided to let him chase it.
They went through the autopsy reports of the dead guy who attacked to violate that nights they found nothing tangible or anything they could hold on to. Except animal hair so they wandered what cooper was on about.
Copper told them that the evidence might have been fabricated or tampered with and begged that they should give the case back to him.
. It was obviously the canine of an animal that chewed through the victim's face when they checked it. And the forensic report showed that the animal was huge.
So the one that was Copper was really chasing. Copper's boss told him that he could choose whatever he wanted, but it should not affect the people involved. In fact, it should not let them know that he is investigating them till he finds a chargeable evidence because the moment they know, the case will be shut down. Cooper agreed until then that he will be as discreet as possible and that He can be trusted with the case.
Copper was able to get Violet's new address and the address of a workplace. So, he did not waste any time at all. He got to work and started watching everything she did.
At a point in time, he found it very boring because he did not see anything interesting. But he still wondered how valid got so much money to rent an apartment at Taylors.
He also found out that the dates in the wife of the married man that Violet was dating had her trailed. The detective put two or two together to know that it was the married man's wife that had her fired and made her lose her job. So he wondered where violet was still getting money from if a source has been shut down.
On one of the days that Copper decided to trail violets from her office, he was parked outside at a distance from the library where you could actually see what was going on in the library. The day was windy So he packed calmly and was listening to radio while watching the entrance of our office to see if anyone to come into visit her or if she was going to come out to see anyone. All of a suddenly Then a shadow came from the sky fell on Cooper's car.
The people around saw and screamed.
Copper was scared to death. He thought it was an accident or something. His wasn't moving his car. So how did something fall on his car? His windscreen was smashed. People ran to his car to see what was happening and could see a dead body on Cooper's car. They did not know how or where it fell from. It was like it fell from the sky and it landed heavily on Copper's car so everyone came out to see what was happening but copper was too scared to come out of his car. He managed to come out of his car and jumped out to see the dead body of a man with his face and his body badly injured.
People at the library, heard the loud sound and noise people gathered around a car. So they decided to come out and see what was happening.
When they came out, people had to move back in a little because they were marveled by what they saw.
They saw a dead body lying on car and no one understood how it got there or where it fell from. There was no tall building at the carpark where you could fall from. It seemed like the body fell from the sky.
So, they started to question while calling the emergency number. Violet was among the people who came out from the library to see what happened.
When she saw Cooper, she was surprised.
"Detective Cooper?" she asked, "what are you doing here?"
"I…i came to see someone." he said.
"Why is there a dead body on your car?" She asked.
"Do I look like I know I was sitting quietly in my car and the dead body fell on it." He said.
"You were sitting in your car? Or you were waiting for someone?"
"Look, Violet. I have no time for this. Did you come here to spy on me detective?" she asked.
"No. Why would I come here for you, I don't even know that you worked at the library. And why would I come to spy on you? Have you done anything wrong?" he said.
"I never told you that I worked at the library. Wow I can't believe you're investigating me in a time like this. You're the one with blood on your hands." Violet said.
"Are you investigating me? Isn't that just cliché?
"Oh please, I don't know how this happened and stop making silly accusation. I'm an officer of the law remember?" Cooper moved away from aside I went to make a phone call.
Detective Cooper was occupied with so much so many things. He imagined how a body could just drop from the sky. He didn't even know what was going on again. But you had also realized that anytime he tried to track violet either loses the evidence, or something terrible happens. The last time he tried to get her hair, he lost it after he kept it in the evidence bag but it got misplaced, maybe that was just something small, her video footage seemed like it was tampered with, although there is no proof for that. But this time, it was like someone wanted to incriminate him or something.
The policeman city to investigate him and ask him how the body goes on top of his car. He told them that everybody saw it and they don't know as usual. It was a mystery that no one could solve.
That keeps Cooper busy for a while. And he didn't bother violet because he was busy with this stuff.
Violets could see that the detective was on a neck, and he was never going to leave it alone but she wonder how he ended up having a dead body on top of his car. That was just to hilarious he was investigating her for a dead body. Yet, one landed right on of his car.
Now is the one that is going to be investigated. The dead body seemed like he just fell up from the sky. How did that even happen? Violet wondered. It seemed like Strange Things didn't just occur at Penny wise streets but the whole of Chester city.
Both where the rich and the poor stay. Violet was relieved that at least the detective as his hands occupied, and it would stay away from at this period.
Violet went home to her normal life. As she was walking in, someone on bike approached her a man he looked a quite older like he was almost sixty.
she wondered what he wanted from her.
"Hello!" He said as she tried to pack a car and come down from it to go into a house.
" Hi, good evening." Violet greeted.
"Mrs. Violence?" he has
"How did you know me?" she asked.
" Oh, you are quite popular in this area. Like for some reasons." He answered.
"Popular? I just moved in here. What do you mean by am quite popular? Well, I don't know. Seems you let out some information about what you do. And a lot of people want it to get you know, patronize you for what you do." He explained.
"What do I do? Please? I don't know what you're talking about." She was confused.
" Um, we got news, you know, this is also a small town boy. News also gets circulated easily. We got news that you are a sex worker." He said.
"Sex worker. Wow. That is just wonderful. So how, I help you please.
" I'm in need of your service. " He smiled
"Are you not married Mr. Man?" Violet said as smiled painfully.
"Yes, I'm married. But I need to spice up my sex life." He explained.
"Look, you at this old looking maggot. I would like you to stay the hell away from me. I am not a sex worker. I work as a librarian and even if I was, I will not have your soggy looking ass patronize me. You are very stupid for actually coming to approach me with that kind of shits. You and everyone in your club are nuisances. If you need a sex worker, don't you know where to find them? Or if you a too ashamed to find one why don't you be more friendly. It's your right hand bitch!"
Violet left in rage.
