Chapter 56
Chris visited the police station and met detective Cooper. Detective Cooper began to ask him questions about his relationship with Violet, and how their relationship ended. Chris told detective Cooper that he and Violet were dating, and she broke up with him after she found out that he was married. Detective Cooper asked Chris if he knows that his wife knew about Violet. Chris went quiet for a while. He did not know that his wife knowing about Violet was public knowledge already.
Chris confirmed that his wife found out about Violet. But since then, Violet has been avoiding him. and he has also tried to avoid because his wife got very jealous. Detective Cooper sighed and asked if he knew that his wife has had Violet trailed for a while.
Chris went quiet again. He said he did not know about this and asked the detective where he was driving at with these questions.
The detective told him the Violet has been missing for three days now and there is a suspicion that his wife had something to do with it. Chris asked him, what would make him think that his wife would stop so low to be chasing a mistress.
Cooper then told him that his wife was the one involved in violence being fired from a job in the first place and also losing her apartment.
Chris could not say he didn't have a suspicion about this. He had good suspicions that it was his wife that was behind everything that was happening to Violet from the beginning, but he could not face his wife to ask her these questions. This is why he tried his best to make sure that he was always there for Violet when his wife strikes.
Chris could not say that. He did not ask suspicion about his wife was behind everything that was going on with violence in the first place. But he had no strong evidence so he could not accuse her. This was why he tried to make up for every bad thing that his wife or don't violate, by trying to get her a new job, sending our money and also gets a new apartment where she was very comfortable. But he never knew that his wife will go to the extent of trying to kill her. He actually did marry an evil woman. He thought.
" Do you have anything to back your accusations of detective?" Chris asked detective Cooper.
" Well, yeah, I've had that watched for a while. And yes, I do. But that is not even the issue for now. I also want to know what are the relationship you have with violet, apart from your sexual relationship?" Cooper said.
"What do you mean by that? She's my friend. She's my girl." Chris said.
"Friend yes, but she seems to be involved with a group dangerous people, Like very dangerous. I do know what they are. But I've been trying to get something from her for a while. So I want to know." Cooper said.
"So do you think I am the right person to ask this question? You are trying to investigate me so that I can incriminate myself and my girlfriend. They have I don't even know what you're talking about. What dangerous people are you talking about?" Chris was confused.
"I have no idea for now but she is hiding something big and she has massive protection." Cooper said.
Chris went quiet again. Then his mind went to the night before and everything that had happened. Why did they not find Violet? Could it be that the Creator had taken her? Also, Violet moved closer to the creature like she had known it before? But that did not make any sense. Violence had always been a curious person. That was just part of our curiosity. He thought.
"I don't get you detective. What exactly do you want? Do you want to find her or do you want to arrest her?" Chris asked.
"I want to find her and I want to know what is going on with her and who she's involved with." Cooper said.
"Okay. If you want to know who she's involved with, why don't you first try to find her first then she might lead you to the people she is involved with." Chris suggested.
"Look, she was involved with me. We were dating. Now she's missing. Can you concentrate on that?" Chris added.
" Why does it seem like you want something incriminating on your hands?" Cooper asked.
" What are you talking about? You're getting me confused." Chris said.
"Yes. Because like I said, I think your wife has something to do with it. Your wife had her watched for a while. Your wife made a lose a job and also apartment. So maybe there was something that triggered your wife this time and that made her take the next step to kidnap her and God knows where she is.
Anyways, you seem to not know so much about what is going on. So maybe I will call your wife for an interview instead." Cooper said.
"Detective, I have told you everything I know. And yes, you can call my wife for an investigation if she's willing to see you. Because everything you're saying right now is based on assumption and does not hold any water." Chris said.
" Fine, you can invite my wife over for the investigation. But please make sure you have enough evidence to back up your story. So you won't look like a complete fool. But first, you should try to look for the missing person. I would also like to get updates on that because Violet is a very dear to me." Chris stood up and left detective Cooper's office.
Chris thought this investigation would be a bit tense but it seemed like detective Cooper was only after his own selfish interest he only wanted incriminating evidence against violet and he was not interested in finding her except he can arrest her too.
Chris was not sure if that was a good thing or bad thing but for now it's Family seems to be safe.
Chris actually felt like reporting Detective Cooper, because he was doing a really terrible job. It seemed like he was getting somewhere at the beginning of the investigation, but later, he just swayed away from the main issue and started talking complete trash.
How did this guy even get hired into the police academy in the first place? Chris thought.
When Chris got home, his wife asked him about the investigation ones and he told his wife all about how detective was just trying to find something to incriminate the victim instead of focusing on the main issue.
Sandra's mind was at ease for now although she knew that she could have ad this situation under control if it was just humans involved. But now that some creature is involved and nobody even knows what it says about. it is even an animal or a mystical creature. The creature spoke if she remembered clearly.
This was beyond paying off someone with money and bribery off officials, she wasn't even sure that her influence could get her out of this. Whatever she thought She had over people this was and animal or a monster She could not come Sure so she had shivers down her spine even as she thinks about it.
That's violet woke up after a full day of sleep. She was tired and her head was spinning like a merry go round. She when she opened the eyes, her vision was a bit blurry and she couldn't really see clearly. But she felt like she wasn't in a familiar place. The bed seemed softer than the one she is used to. The atmosphere in this place was warm, cozy and quiet, and everyone seemed very peaceful. Violet tried to move around. As she moved from sides, the other side of the bed. She could tell that this was not somewhere she knew about immediately. She had to rewind through everything she had gone through the night before which actually seemed like a dream. But it got clearer and Violet remembered the monster that carried her on its arm and how she was able to talk to him and create a connection with it.
She imagined that she was in the monsters' house. She was finally able to open her eyes and when she did, she saw a man dressed like a bottler standing in front of her with her.
She jumped up and asked who he was.
"Easy miss Violet, I am Gay. And you shouldn't overwork yourself, you're still very weak." Gay said.
"How did I get here? How long have I been out for?" she asked as she tried to get off the bed. Her head was dizzy again and she fell on the bed and slept off.
The next time Violet opened her eyes, she did not know how long she has slept for. When she opened her eyes she saw Steel standing in front of her with his face looking very concerned.
"Hello violet!" he said.
