Chapter 55

Chris was trying his best to control his reaction. He did not know what he would act like, when the detective finally tells him that Violet is dead, or they found her body. He was so scared. He did not know if he could actually play this role.
The detective asked him if he was familiar with any Violet understand. Of course, he couldn't deny it. It was obvious that the detective knew that they were familiar. That is why the detective is asking him in the first place. He told the detective that he knew violence but they used to date and this is not the right place to talk about her. Because this is his home. The detective tried to ask him, what's the relationship was? And Chris told the detective that it would not like to talk about that in his house where his wife lives.
"But you said that your wife is not around." Cooper asked.
"This actually said yes, she's not around. This is something you should understand detective, I have workers here and all. So I can just open my mouth and start talking about some woman." He said.
"But this violates that you speak of? Is there anything wrong with her that I should know about. Chris asked.
"That is where I'm heading towards Mr. Chris. I'm trying to build a case here. She has been missing for the past two days. When last did you see her?" He asked. "Detective. I would be fair, I come to your office to answer that question. Can I get your number and pay you a visit at the station Soon?" Chris stood up signaling the detective that it was time to go.
"Yes, yes, of course You can. I would invite you to the station then. No problem." Cooper said.
He collected Detective Cooper's number and they waved each other goodbye.
When the detective left his house, Sandra ran down the staircase to ask her husband what the detective wanted.
Her husband told her that it was about Violet and she has been declared missing and that was the reason for his visited.
She asked him what he told the detective Chris told her he would visit the detective at his office but for now they both needed to plans to practice their lies and perfected amongst themselves.
Sandra told Chris that this was all our fault. Sandra told Chris that this was all his faults. If he had no gone about looking for a mistress, she would not also go about trying to put his mistress down. Now he got them into this mess.
Chris did not even know what to say to his wife. He just prayed. The Violet was still life because he could not imagine how it would feel when you find out that she's dead.
He was really worried for her at a point, he thought really far that if Violet is alive and the police finds out what happened, his wife will have to go to prison and he will take over a business for the meantime. He might even marry Violet before she gets back. Chris was in a was in a crossroad. He was either wanted violence I live so she could put his wife down or wanted violet dead so that they will not ruin the family name or business. What's he just didn't know what to do but it seems like he might be on the safer side of whatever happens.
Luca and Mara, got more disturbed and uneasy as time passed, and they did not hear anything from violets. Mara already started crying like someone who lost a husband. Luca did not even know what to do with him until it affected everything he did, including his relationship.
If Eric did not know how close he was to Violet, and if they had not fought over her before, Eric would have broken up with him, thinking that he was worried because he is having an affair with violet, but Eric was able to give him the space. Eric was also a little bit worried because he formed the connection with violet for the main time, and he knows that she is a Sweet person.
Luca kept calling the detective and the detective told him that he was working on it and Luca should put his mind at rest.
The detective give Chris a call and told him that he wouldn't mind if he visited the station to answer some questions concerning Violet.
Chris and his wife had practiced what they would say when the police start questioning them. They made sure that their lies were uniform, and nothing was seemed suspicious in their lies.
Barbara has been waiting for news from Sandra since she left the house after Sandra told her that she found that she was right about Chris and he was still sleeping with violet again. Barbara just wanted to hear news of destruction and divorce between them. She waited all day long, and when she didn't hear anything from Sandra She called to ask what the issue was and What the conclusion was Sandra had come to but there was no reply. She sent several texts to Sandra also but Sandra did not even have the time for her phone.
Later, Barbara decided that she was going to visit Sandra in her house.
Sandra took a few days break from work so that she can recover from this scar that the creature gave her on her face and so did Chris. So when Barbara came into the house for a visit, Sandra was not impressed. She wondered what Barbara's issue was and why she was such a nosy punk. It was already getting frustrating. Why does she want to know every single thing about her marriage? Sandra thought.
When Sandra got the message that she had a visitor she had to put a veil around the head to cover the scar on her face Sandra went downstairs to meet Barbara and Barbara was surprised to see her.
"I've been calling you since, what wont you pick up your phone? You've been ignoring me. What is wrong, Sandra?" Barbara asked,
"Nothing, I'm not feeling too well. And why have you been bugging my phone? What do you want Barbara?" Sandra asked.
"Hey, I thought we had the discussion and I thought we had concluded that you were going to leave your husband. I mean, that guy is no good, so what was the conclusion? How did it go? "Barbara asked.
Sandra was getting irritated at her friend's presence and pestering. She did not understand what Chris ad done to her to make her so keen on seeing his end.
"Look, Sandra. I am not leaving Chris. Not now, not anytime soon and he will not be seeing that girl anymore." Sandra said In a tired voice.
"Okay, what's so what have you done to make sure that is in place, and if he doesn't see that girl anymore, there other girls in the city. The other girls are not the problem here; you should be focusing Chris instead."
"Look Bubba I am very tired like I said Have a terrible headache." Sandra's Ville fell off her face and revealing this scar on her face.
"Oh my god. Sandra. What is this on your face?" Barbara asked
"What did that bastard do to you? Did he lay his hands on you? Did he touch you? I'm going to call the cops right now." Barbara took out her phone from her bag.
"Hey don't call any cop. It is not Chris. I had an injury, okay?" Sandra said.
"An injury how? All of a sudden when you decided you want to leave him, that is when you start having an injury or your face. And you think I'm going to believe that? Look, Sandra. If you don't want to talk to anyone, you can talk to me. I am your best friend. You can sell me anything. So please, don't let this Chris ruin you. You're better than him You know." Barbara said.
"Barbara, I said I'm okay stop looking for something where there is no one. Chris would never lay hands on me. He wouldn't dare. And Chris is okay. The girl is not as issue anymore, I have sorted the issue out and I have my Marriage and check please" Sandra said.
"Now Can you just let me go and rest?" Sandra left her on the seat and went to her room.
Barbara was not happy to hear this she felt So bad chest was heavy.
How could Sandra do this to her? They had spoken about her leaving Chris so what changed? She wanted to see Chris back in the trenches but now they are back together like Nothing ever happened.
She was sure that Chris would think He has won this round again but she Barbara was ready to go any length So make sure that Chris falls.
