Chapter 70

"No they did not, as they were about to, some men came in and they started exchanging gunfire. It was terrible. It was like a movie. They were shooting each other. I didn't understand what was going on, or who had come to save me. Suddenly I heard screams of men and people running helter skelter all over the place. I didn't understand what was going on.
Then later, I had silence and I heard Chris's wife begging and trembling where she was. I did not understand where these men came from. I knew that all the order four bodily armed men were gunned down, all dead.
Then some carried me So I wouldn't get shot.
and that was when I passed out from all the guns shooting and beatings I had received all over my body.
I passed out that night and by the time I woke up the next day, I found myself in a huge mansion. In fact, the biggest house I have ever seen and the most beautiful too. By time when I woke upon was days later, because I was very weak at beatings and punches all over my body
So I was still very weak. The first day I woke up, I met a bottler beside me. I was so weak That I couldn't even open my eyes for long so I passed again and they treated me the next time I woke up, guess who I saw?. Damien! He was there beside me looking so worried.
"Damien. How does he know that you were there?" Mara asked.
" It turns out he was the one who sent his men to save me." Violet smiled.
"Actually, while I was driving, I butt-dialled him so while all the kidnapping was going on, he tracked me down.
"Wow. That is just a beautiful love story. this some holly wood shit girl! Do you have popcorn?" Luca said as he enjoyed her narration.
So I've been at his place all these while well. It took me a while to get better. But I've been so scared to come back home."
"Oh my God, Sandra or whatever her name is, We have to report her to the police." Mara said.
"No, no, no, no, no. We don't need to report to the police. the police will not do anything about it. she thinks she has men, but now I won her with an army!
She thinks she is tough. I also want us to know that I am tougher. I can't wait to see her face when she finds out that I am well. Do you know the kind of edge I have over her now?" Violet smiled
"Oh my god. This is lovely. So you mean Demian is that rich? He got you all this?" Luca was amazed.
"Yes He is, he got me all of it." She said
"Hmm so you have been in Damies's house out all this? While'' Mara confirmed.
Yes. It took me a while to get better and we are they're actually dating now."She said
"Yeah? Are you serious? I am so happy for you.
Damien, is he that rich? I knew it! I hope he is not married?" Luca said.
"No, he is very single." She said.
"That is so wonderful violet. I think we should report that witch"
" What can she do? She can't do anything to me anymore. I'm sure she thinks I'm dead by the time she sees me. She'll be petrified because now she knows that I am no small person anymore" she bragged.
" So what is Damien doing with armed men? What does he do?" Mara asked.
" He is a businessman of course. He Needs to have securities, that's how rich people do! You won't understand rich people's things yet! Luca shut Mara from disrupting the story.
" Whatever!" Mara rolled her eyes at Luca.
. "Wonderful, that is just awesome, so what is in this bag?" Mara asked.
"What bag is that?" Violet asked.
Mara handed the bag that still gave her over to violet and violet opened.
Violet was in shock as she saw documents of ownership of the library where she formerly worked. And also the house where she stays right now.
"What's this is documents of ownership.
"Oh my god. Oh my god." She said.
" What is that?" Her friends asked. Ownership of what"She handed the documents over to look at them.
And they screamed at the top of their voices.
"What? You are the new owner of our library. Whoa. They came and they announced the new but...
Oh my god, this is just so beautiful." Luca said like he was about to cry. "You own a house and a business too!"
Violet, let's not even know if she should jump or rejoice. Sterl bringing her back to her real life was not bad after all. She actually missed all our friends and everybody around her. Violet could not wait to get back to the library she had actually missed going to work and she had missed her environment too.
Luca and Mara could not comprehend the wonders that had Behold Violet. It's like she performed some sort of sorcery to change her fate overnight, from being homeless, jobless and almost killed to becoming a house and business owner.
Mara was a bit envious of her.violet was no longer on our level. She owned a whole library now. She even owns a house. She couldn't compete with that.
That is just the biggest news of The year so far. At least she knew that she would never have to pay rent again.
Luca could not stop hugging and kissing on the cheek. He was so excited to see her . He had missed him so much. He has not been the same without violet around. In fact, everything around him changed. But now, Viole was the owner of the library where they worked. What other good news could they have asked for? His friend is alive and she's not just a life. She's actually a rich woman now. Luca told Violet that he would like to take the day off tomorrow and they all had a good laugh about it.
violets got the new phone that Steel got for her. And she tried to search for his number. She texted them and told him how much she appreciated what he had just done for her and Steel replied with a smile emoji.Violet reconsidered maybe she was too hard on Steel after all.
She was trying to imagine what she would be like as she stepped into the library.
She had everything she needed to look like a boss. The clothes, the shoes, bags and accessories. She knew that her good taste in fashion was for a good reason.
also the original documents of the libraries that a signature and the former owner's signature in it so she had plans to call a meeting with the real owner even though it wasn't really necessary.
The owner of the library will hand it over officially right in front of her and could not wait.
Violet magine how much steel must have spent in buying all these things and even getting a house or Taylor's. Taylor was no place for broke people or people who are managing. But obviously, money was no item to Steel. He had lived for centuries. And money's obviously nothing to him. She kinda wished he got the house where she formerly lived just to smite her landlord. Or so that she can go back and give the landlord a hot slap After collecting his house from him. Luca came to our room and started asking her what her plans were for work and the house. She was surprised that Luca had gone home. Lucas said he wasn't going home, that he was going to stay at her place because he was too excited to drive, and told him to hop on the bed, and they talked about so many things. Luca was dying to hear all of it, especially the sweet juicy parts that Steel was involved in.
Violets kept blushing, as she told Luca about all the wonderful times she had with Steel. She described his mansion and everything that she saw in his house, and also how she was treated throughout her stay.
Luca started to ransack through her luggages and started selecting what he thought she should rock to work. And so all the different places that would make a complete statement.
He saw a beautiful purse that he could not get his eyes off. And violet told him that he could have it.
