Chapter 21

Cyn’s POV

I’m in a forest running, from what? I can’t remember. My pace quickened as my attacker gained on me. My pulse beat erratically and I could feel each hard thud of my heart in my chest.
“Cyn, baby, don’t run from me,” the voice cooed. Alex. A disgusted shudder ran through my body as I kept running.
I ran out of breath and found a tree to hide behind. My chest heaved up and down from exertion as I tried to still my breathing.
“Come out Cynthia! I know you’re there!” He growled out. His voice was so close, I knew I was about to be caught. I closed my eyes as tears ran down my cheeks and prepared for my doom.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” I hear Alex yell. I gasped and peeked around the tree. A tall male was standing in front of Alex. Is that blonde hair or brown hair? I couldn’t tell in the darkness. The male slowly stalked towards Alex until they were face to face and then he threw a punch. Alex went falling to the ground hard. The male punched him over and over and over until he was unmoving. He turned to face me and I squinted to try and see who it was. Are those blue eyes, or hazel eyes? Who is my savior?
He turned and walked off, leaving me alone in the forest with a passed out Alex. Well, passed out or dead, I didn’t want to get close enough to check. I scurried after him and grabbed his arm, turning him around. I gasped.
*beep, beep, beep*
Stupid alarm.
I had that dream again. Just when I’m about to find out who saved me, I wake up.
I stretched in the bed and stood up to go get ready for school. Things definitely feel weird being here at Josh’s house. I’m just trying to get used to it.
“Good morning, Cyn.” Josh greeted me as I trudged toward the bathroom.
“Morning,” I greeted back with a yawn.
I showered and got dressed in the bathroom before venturing back out to look for some food in the kitchen.
“Hi sweetheart!” Mrs. Henry chirped happily.
“Hello Joselyn,” I smiled at the woman. She was already perfectly done up in a white shirt, black skirt, black heels and a set of pearls with immaculate makeup.
“I bought a few things when Josh told me you would be staying. Feel free to stay as long as you like, dear, okay?” She said.
I looked in the pantry and found cereal so I picked up a box and grabbed some milk from the fridge.
“Thank you, ma’am.” I said happily while I poured my cereal.
“Morning mom,” Josh greeted her as he dug into the fridge. He pulled out a bottle that was red. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what it is.
“It’s called vampire wine, not too bad compared to all the previous bottled blood.” He told me. I just nodded along, not really interested in this talk of bloody things.
He poured himself a glass and drank it quickly, then wiped his mouth with the back of his arm.
I looked away and out the window. What is with that weird dream? I had the same one the night before also.
“You almost ready, Cyn?” Josh asked me.
“Yes, just a minute please.” I shoveled a bit more cereal in my mouth, trying to finish it quickly, before I took my bowl and spoon to the sink to rinse them out.
Josh handed me my backpack and we walked to his car. I could feel the nerves build up as well as anticipation at seeing Tucker. I never replied to him yesterday, is he upset? Hurt? I wish I knew what to say to make this all better. As much as it pains me to admit it, I’m hoping I can talk to Alex. I want him to let me reject him. I’m hoping that if there’s no bond, then he would let me be.
We got in Josh’s car and he drove us to school. When we rolled into the parking lot and got out of the car, I could feel the stares from classmates.
“Just ignore them,” he whispered into my ear from behind.
I nodded and just kept walking to first period. I saw the back of Tucker’s head when I approached the classroom and so I freaked out and turned to run the opposite direction.
“Ooof!” I collided with a hard figure when I turned on my heel. I looked up to see Alex’s amused face.
“Cyn, just the girl I wanted to see.” He smirked. My palms began to sweat and I looked side to side but everyone else continued acting normal.
“Come on, let’s talk.” He looped his arm through mine and led me to an empty classroom. It’s torture to feel the tingles, what was supposed to be goddess given was ruined for me by this man.
“So as you can see, I held up my end of the bargain,” he paused and then continued, “now what I want from you next is for you to give me another chance.”
My mouth was agape at what he just said. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” I growled out.
“Look, I messed up, I realize that now, and I’m sorry Cyn, but you’ve got to understand, the mate pull and the love I feel for you made me have to have you.”
“If that’s your version of love, I don’t want it.” I huffed at him. I could see a vein tick above his brow in anger but instead of saying anything, he kept quiet.
I turned away from him and scurried off before he could stop me. He’s obviously not going to let me reject him right now. By now, the halls were clear and I knew I was going to be late to first period. The teacher was already talking when I entered the classroom, earning me a glare as I hurried to my seat.
“Are you okay?” Helena asked me.
“Yes,” I whispered to her. I turned my attention back to the teacher and ignored Josh trying to grab my attention.
Finally after about ten minutes of poking and prodding, I gave in, “what do you want?” I asked him exasperatedly.
He passed me a piece of paper. I opened it up and was struck by the neat handwriting. Tucker’s handwriting.

Cyn,

I’m writing this to you because I have a feeling you won’t talk to me otherwise. I love you baby and I know that we can make it through these trials. I’ve done a lot of thinking and I refuse to spend my days without you by my side, especially knowing that you feel something for me. So what I’m trying to say is, Cyn, will you be my secret girlfriend?

Love,
Tucker

The note crinkled in my hand as I squeezed it tight. I had to force myself not to cry. Can we really keep this a secret? Damn it, I guess we really do need to talk in person.
I pulled out my phone and sent him a text.

Me: we need to talk
Tucker: yes we do
Me: meet me in the library next period?
Tucker: okay baby

I tucked my phone back into my pocket and sat impatiently waiting for class to finish. When the bell rang, I bolted out of my chair and busted out of the room, ignoring the protests from Josh and Helena. I made a beeline for the library and looked for a quiet, private corner for us to talk in.
I felt a presence on my back and I whirled around to look up into his hazel eyes.
“Tucker,” I breathed out.
“Cyn,” he said, “I missed you so damn much.”
“I missed you too,” I admitted.
He pulled me towards him and hooked an arm around my waist before tilting my face towards him. His eyes looked deep into mine before he looked at my lips. In anticipation, I closed my eyes. I felt his breath get closer until his lips found mine. I sighed into his kiss and we stood there, just gently tasting each other for I don’t know how long.
When we broke apart, he leaned his forehead on mine, “please say yes, I can’t be without you Cyn. I know you don’t want us to be apart, I just know it. If I’m wrong, tell me now, and I’ll never bother you again. Is there someone else for you?” He asked nervously. I cupped his face, “you’re the only one,” I promised him. He gave me a panty melting grin, making me swallow hard.
“So yes, I’ll be your secret girlfriend. But we need to be careful. It’s probably best I stay at Josh’s house so Alex doesn’t get suspicious.” I told him.
“I’ll take care of Alex soon enough, don’t worry baby, this is only for right now. Trust me, I want the whole world to know you’re mine.” He smiled.
“I’m yours and you’re mine,” I agreed. Our lips met once again before our tongues joined together and the kiss became heated.
“Fuck, we have to stop.” He whispered.
“I don’t want to.” I confessed. He looked around the empty library and nodded. He led me to the back of the stacks where almost nobody gets books. He turned me around, bent me over and lifted my skirt with a groan. “Damn baby,” he murmured. His husky voice making me wetter.
I heard his belt unbuckle before his pants unzipped. He pulled down my panties and I felt his tip at my entrance before he slid it in. I bit into my hand to mask my moan at his intrusion. His cock feels even better each time and I felt so insanely full. He held tight to my hips and pushed in deeply, making my toes curl before he retreated and then pushed back in. His thrusts soon grew quick and I felt him snake a hand to my clit to start rubbing small circles. “That’s right baby, cum all over my cock,” he whispered in my ear. I whimpered and clamped down on his dick as my orgasm hit me. “Oh fuck,” he grunted as his thrusts became erratic until he finally stopped. He pulled out of me and pulled up his pants while I slid my panties back up and smoothed my skirt down.
I pulled out my phone and noticed class was almost over. “I’ve got to get to the restroom to clean up some,” I told him.
“I’ll see you at lunch,” he said before pressing a kiss to my forehead.
“Okay,” I said as I watched him walk away. I hurried to the restroom and washed up, hoping his scent on me wouldn’t be too strong. Fuck! First day of being secret girlfriend and I already smell like him. I couldn’t help the shit eating grin that crept on my face though at the quickie we just had. Damn, I think I love that man.
