“So how long has this been going on?” I asked the two after they covered their privates with a blanket.

I scurried away and almost ran into someone. “You don’t like to look where you’re going, do you?”
I looked up to see Jace’s unique eyes looking down at me. “I’m not fond of it,” I grinned up at him.
His lip twitched as he looked around us. “Want to get out of here?” He asked.
“I’d love to.” Saying no to him wasn’t an option.
I followed him as he descended the stairs and went out to the garage to a black car. His large hand guided my lower back as he helped me into the car.
“So. We keep running into each other.” I said nonchalantly.
“Yes.”
“How are you liking your stay?” I asked with a slight cringe.
“It’s fine. I keep finding reasons to stay.” He said.
“I see.” I answered. We continued looking into each other’s eyes before finally he looked away, cleared his throat and put the key in the ignition. While he drove, I pulled out my phone and sent a message to my group chat with Tucker and Josh.

Me: headed out with Jace
Tucker: the old dude?

“Where are we going?” I asked as he drove for a bit longer.

We pulled up to the side of the road and he parked. “We have to walk the rest of the way there, is that fine?”
