Intense moment

Becky's P.O.V




Jake nodded his head slowly and as he did I could see that his eyes were filled with a deep sadness that really touched my heart.



He spoke softly saying “It looks like that's the situation we're in right now. She has been going around telling people about the Whitewolf and sharing information about what you can do.”



When I finally understood what was happening it felt like someone had struck me in the stomach. I was left feeling dizzy and confused. The strength I had recently discovered within myself the power I was just starting to understand was no longer just mine.



Instead it had turned into something that others wanted to use for themselves. My personal journey of self-discovery had transformed into a weapon that they wanted to control an instrument they aimed to use for their own purposes. The idea of this disturbing situation made me feel really nauseous and upset.



“I can’t stay here anymore.” I said firmly feeling a strong determination rising within me. Even though I was still feeling a little scared my voice was steady and strong.



“I have to leave this place. It’s really important that I get out of here away from Ravensong before they have a chance to reach me. I just can't let myself be taken advantage of like this. I refuse to let that happen.”



Before I had a chance to start thinking about any plans I could make Jake quickly reached out his hand again.



He grabbed my arm tightly holding onto me strongly enough to stop me from giving in to the strong urge I felt to just run away.



He looked at me seriously and said “No Becky. You can’t run away from this situation. If you decide to leave it won’t fix or solve anything at all. Running away won’t keep you safe from the difficult and challenging situation that is approaching.”



“What other options do I have Jake?” I whispered softly feeling a deep sense of desperation gripping my throat like a fierce and wild animal.



“They are dangerous people. They have plans to use me for their own purposes. I am truly scared!”



“You shouldn't try to escape from your problems Becky.” he said in a soft tone that was both reassuring and strong. His words were a calm presence in the middle of all the confusion and chaos surrounding us.



“It's important to confront your challenges head-on. You have to be brave and defend yourself as well as the things that matter to you. I want you to understand that you are much stronger than you realize. Keep in mind that you are the Whitewolf which means you have the ability and strength to take care of yourself and to avoid being taken advantage of by anyone who might want to harm you.”



His words came to me gently almost like a comforting lotion that helps to calm and soothe my anxious feelings.



They made me feel a little better and I could feel my nerves starting to relax but my deep fear remained feeling very heavy in my chest.



Just as I was about to speak and answer him there was a loud knock on the door that interrupted the thick atmosphere of silence and tension that surrounded us.



“Who is it?” I shouted but my voice was shaking a little bit because I was feeling nervous and scared. It was hard for me to keep my fear from showing.



“It’s only me Becky.” said a rough-sounding voice from the other side of the door. The way the message was delivered made it feel like there was a hurry in his tone.



That sense of urgency mixed with my own anxiety that I was gripping tightly making everything feel even more intense.



With a sense of hesitation I slowly unlatched the door. My heart was beating rapidly in my chest as I opened it and there stood a guard from the Ravensong pack.



His face showed no clear emotions remaining very neutral and calm but I noticed that there were signs of urgency in his eyes. Those subtle hints made it clear to me that this situation was quite serious and important.



The guard spoke in a very serious and emotionless way saying “Alpha Rian is asking for you to come right away.”



Even though his tone was flat and showed no feelings there was something important in his voice that made me feel even more anxious than before.



I didn’t have to ask anyone why I was feeling this way. All I could sense was the strong beating of my heart against my ribs. It was a constant reminder that I was running out of time and needed to act quickly.



Alpha Alex and Beta Ron had already taken action and I could feel a charged atmosphere all around me. It was as if the air itself was buzzing with energy warning me that a confrontation was about to happen soon.



“Of course.” I said in response trying my best to make my voice sound calm and collected.



However deep down inside my mind was racing with many worries and concerns about what was going to happen next.



As I followed the guard through the long and twisting hallways of the pack house it felt like we were walking for a very long time almost as if time itself had stretched into eternity.



Each of my footsteps seemed to echo loudly in the empty spaces of my mind making me more aware of my surroundings and the situation I was in. My heart was beating heavily in my chest and I could feel its strong thumps as we got closer to the pack grounds.



There I saw Alpha Rian standing in the midst of a group of wolves and the atmosphere was filled with tension. He looked very powerful and in charge his strong and large figure standing out in sharp contrast to the usual warmth and kindness that he often displayed.



But right at that moment his expression was serious and intense it seemed like he was a leader getting ready for an important and possibly challenging event that was about to happen…
