Chapter 54
“I know and that is what makes it much more sexy and enticing. I mean, I have never thought that I would have such a good little wolf in my bed,” said Credence and I smiled.
“It is good that it is a bed because if it was a coffin then I would have nailed you inside it,” I replied with a dry yawn and he licked the column of my throat and I immediately slapped him. And I glared and said,” Credence, I know my blood tastes like heaven to you but you know that is off limits. I cannot have any kind marks on my skin until I am crowned. My entire body will be washed by the handmaidens and a member of the Council will be present.”
“Huh! I did know that,” said Credence as he rose from bed.
I figured that this was as good time as any in order to talk to him about the mother of Serafina and how we needed to proceed about that. So I said,” I have spoken to Serafina. She is curious about her origins.”
“So soon already!” Credence was surprised and then he said,” You have far better negotiation and communication skills than anyone of your folks it seems. Even the last queen was not so fast in doing things either.”
“I am sure that she was not sleeping with any bloodsucker either,” I replied and he put a hand over his heart mockingly and replied,” Touche.”
“Now tell me,” I said and then at the mention of the Red Queen I suddenly remembered that I was due to be getting the testing for my new crown which will be uniquely imbued with my Alpha power and it was a time taking process. And here I was still languishing in the vampire’s castle.
“It is not as easy as you think, Sin. The witch has been lost to time for almost four centuries and now that I have gotten the odour of the new born sorceress I have to make enquiries on the last one, Sin. You do understand that this will not be a cake walk, right?” asked Credence as he watched me rise up and start getting dressed. He immediately came before me and held my wrist.
“Is it really necessary for you to leave? I mean it is just something which will take some time…are you that annoyed that you have to leave?” he asked. I smiled inwardly.
“I should have left long back, Credence. You know that you cannot keep me here forever. I have my own duties as the monarch of my kingdom and even though you captured me once, don’t do it again without my permission. I need to be there for the making of my crown. It has to be imbued with my unique power signature which means it is an arduous process,” I replied.
“Fine, then I should not be keeping you any longer. You shall be taken back to the castle as soon as possible while the dawn comes nearer it means that I must have my rest,” said Credence and I nodded. Then I said,” And do not forget what I asked you, bloodsucker. You might be in my bed but that doesn’t mean that we have stopped being enemies.”
“And here I thought that we had forgotten all the enemity that had been uphold by our people for so long in order to start something beautiful,” said Credence with a mocking grin.
“Yeah and hell will be freezing over the day that happens,” I said while I finished dressing.
“Are you sure that you would not forget me once it happens? That is once you are the Queen?” asked Credence and I looked at him with astonishment.
“I thought that you did not want to tie yourself down with a woman and that too with a wolf.. Now why are you saying this? How does it matter to you if you think that this has no future?” I asked him as I pulled on my boots.

Credence was reciting for me and then he said,” Time for me has most of the time been a curse since I had to spend most of that time alone. But now it does not seem that bad once I feel that I have someone to share my life with.”
“And who is that? I did not know that you had acquired a new pet?” I mocked him as jealousy flared in me like hot embers within an instant and my fur rippled beneath my skin as my wolf growled from within.
Credence smiled at me ferally and said,” You do know that when you feel like that it is supposed to mean something? Do you not understand what it is? Is it only me who is trying to lie my own self or you are doing the same thing too?”
“I don’t know what you are talking about. And since you are hell bent on speaking in riddles and not say anything to me I think it is better for me to leave,” I said as I started walking when he suddenly grabbed me and pinned me to the wall with his vampiric speed.
“You know what I am talking about, Sin. You know that I am your mate and you also know that you got this from the Ambrose Crystal. Do you think that you are only one who got that vision? Do you think that I brought you here close to me just for fun? I need you Sin, just like you need me….and now it is your choice to see how you deal with this after you get the crown,” said Credence as my blood ran cold hearing his words.
I could not belive my own ears. That would only mean that he was not the only one who knew that I had mates….
I was royally screwed up!!
