Chapter 59

“I have objection to her becoming the Queen,” said a female voice standing beside Serena. It was Raksha. The court sorceress of the erstwhile dead Queen was standing beside the one that I had defeated and she was loking at me with a smirk on her face. I knew that something was going to happen.
Things would be going well and good and that too in my case that could never be expected. Luke growled and bared his fangs at Raksha.
The Royal Secretary said,” Step forward and state what case you have against the Crown Princess and why have you any objection.”
Raksha came forward and Luke stood up. He was barely holding it together and I was seeing all kinds of images being projected in my mind which included him tearing off the throat of the sorceress and then him standing over her bloody deadbody. Serafina had already raised her hand in case Raksha tried any offensive magic against me.
But I looked at her once from my peripheral vision and said her that it was not going to be necessary.
“The Crown Princess should have already mentioned who is going to be the Royal Magician of the Court and will be serving her before she was even crowned. That is the first task that she should have performed once she had been announced the winner because she is going to know that the Royal Magick is the one who is going to be her Supreme Commander,” said Raksha smirking and this time I could not hold off my smile.
When she saw me smiling she thought that may be I was bluffing and before the Royal Secretary could speak I spoke up.
“And that, Raksha is the objection you have….and nothing else?” I waited in order to judge her reaction and then when she nodded her head saying no I said,” Then might be you should have waited for things to be said and to be spoken to my subjects rather than bringing such a trivial matter up at the moment of my coronation, Raksha. With the death of our beloved Red Queen, you who were her protector and Supreme Commander and helped her with everything all these years, I might say that it is natural for you to feel loss. We all do. We have been mourning and we will mourn once again the wolves of Amorentia have been tethered to the power of the Alpha. But Raksha, I am not going to mention you as the Royal Sorceress of the Court because you see, I shall be doing that rather I have already done so and the name has been etched in the directory as I have put the request officially. And it is my trusted aide and my sister, Serafina, someone whom I trust more than life itself. If you had waited rather than objecting with such a trivial issue then you might have known that because it would have been also declared.”
“And why have I been ousted from my position, if I may ask so?” she asked as I looked at her and said,” The very reason that you considered that I was going bring shame on me, the Red Queen and my pack the very first day of the summit is why I cannot accept you as my second. I am never going to be able to trust someone who does not trust me.”
There was pin drop silence in the court and no one even dared to speak a word. The Royal Secretary was stunned at my words but I knew that I was now going to have to deal with enemies inside and enemies outside and only that could be dealt when I myself am strong.
Raksha stepped down from where she was standing and I could see that she was not ashamed for doing this on behalf of Serena rather she was angry, and she was enraged when she should have wished that the earth should have swallowed her when it was mentioned in public that the Queen of the wolves did not trust her. She turned and walked out of the Court Room. I could feel that the Council was not at all pleased with what had gone ahead and Torah was looking at me with her eyes narrowed but I was least bothered by what she thought of me.
Finally Serafina whispered something to the Royal Secretary and he cleared his throat.
Then he announced,” There are furthermore no objections to the coronation of Synthia, The Crown Princess and Alpha of the Red hearts Pack as the Queen of Amorentia. So now we shall proceed with the ceremony. Let the crown be brought forward.”
The men who had come to visit me in the morning came forward with the wooden box and I sat up straight.
“The Queen of Amorentia, is being presented with the royal crown which has been made for her sake. So that it can be imbued with her own power and also she can attach with the magic of the crown. She is the first to request such a unique crown for it symbolizes the vision that she had been granted by the Seer of Amorentia when she was in the Summit fighting for the crown. Today, she will stake her rightful claim on the throne and the crown,” said the Royal Secretary as the box was placed before me on the table.
I took in a deep breath and opened the box. The crown lay there nestled in black velvet gleaming in the light of the sun that came inside from the glasses of the throne room.
I touched the crown with my bare hands and felt like I had been shot with a jolt of electricity. I gasped but I did not let go of the crown. This was the final show of power to show all the people and the subjects watching me that I could and I can withstand anything that might come in my way so that I could prove to be the capable Queen.
The turquoise stone lit up bright as I smiled. It was the stone for the Elf Prince who was yet to be presented before my eyes but I could feel that there was a tugging in my blood and soon the turquoise turned brighter in colour. The stones were being embedded with my life force and I could feel it draining from me.
On the other side of the Ambrose crystal, the golden sapphire lit up and again the same thing happened. They were all lusterless stones earlier but they were drawing their power from me. I could feel the vibrations of the stones in my soul now. How was it even possible I did not know but maybe it was different from every single queen.
The ruby was next and I could understand that Luke was coming closer to me as the expression on my face was changing. My face was getting contorted with the pain that was being inflicted on me and as soon as Luke touched me the intensity decreased by a little and the ruby lit up like a thousand red roses and now it was the black diamond which shone. It was almost like I could feel that Credence was breathing with bated breath trying to see what was happening to me and as soon as the power was getting sucked I screamed out in anguish.
I could not hold it back any longer. The pain was unbearable and all the blood from my face was getting drained.
“She needs to let it go. The crown is killing her,” came his voice. It was Credence and there were gasps of outrage from all over and then I could hear Mason speaking up.
“She cannot. If she leaves it now then the crown will never bond with her. The greater the pain, the greater the suffering, that can only mean one thing, the greater the power. We have never seen such an unprecedented amount of power being held by one Queen. She is like no other…but she has to go through this,” said Mason and I gritted my teeth. I had to go through this.
I looked at Luke who was sitting so close to me and he was trying to pass me on some of his strength and I was grateful for that. The pain lessened a little bit since the diamond was shining like piercing in my skull like it was bearing me down.

And then the Ambrose Crystal started pulling from me and I could feel my toes curling up and my blood freezing as the crystal started pulling my strength from my heart and I could feel that my consciousness was leaving me. My hands were now fused with the crown and there was nothing which was going to make me separate from it.
The crown held my power draining me of it and then suddenly the power started flowing back in me with a jolt as I heard a voice in my ears.
