Chapter 73

I did not look back again in the direction of Torah and I walked towards the direction of the War Room as I had dropped the boy toy from the height of the ceiling and then had left them both there to lick their wounds.
“You have not been Queen for even a day and the power has already gone to your head,” shouted Torah and I showed her the middle finger from the back and did not even turn my head and we all giggled as we raced each other to the War Room. When I reached, I did not wait for the others to open the door and I just went through kicking them. The entire Council except Torah was there along with Credence and Drima and my Royal Guards There were all the pack leaders as well along with Serena and Blossom.
“Great. Now that all are here. We are going to start talking about what is important and essential without further ado,” I said as Drima nodded and opened the tab. I smiled. I should have known that she would be ready with the points of discussion even before we were going to discuss it. After all she was my Counsellor and even when I am the Queen she still is. But right now, she is Royal.
“Why is a vampire here? This is a state matter and we need to talk between ourselves,” said Serena as she shot a bitter look in the direction Credence and he simply smiled at her showing a hint of fangs and that was more than enough to take a step backwards. I repressed back a snort and then said,” Speak for yourself, Serena. I do not think that you have been given the authority to make the choices and take the decisions here. Lord Credence was present when we were attacked. Unlike you who was getting plowed by her bodyguard, lying in the comfort of your own room with your legs wide apart.”
I was wearing my crown and suddenly I felt that everything was lighter. I sensed that my crown was agreeing with what I was saying and Serena thought before opening her mouth looking at me.
“Lord Credence has graced us with our presence even after he had to fight along my side. He has shown that he is loyal to Amorentia and he will be standing by my side in every problem. So if anyone has any problem they can tell me now and I am going to him accordingly,” I said.
None of them uttered a word and then I said,” There is an announcement that I want to make as well, so that there is no further question regarding this. I know that we have had our misunderstanding with the vampires. They are very different from we are as a race and you will all say that they do not have a beating heart and they have no life. But that does not mean that they do not have a soul. They are also someone who need to seen for who they are and not as monsters. We are also monsters for human beings, aren’t we?”
“What do you want to say, Your Highness?” asked Blossom. I could see the twinkle in her eyes and I smiled and said,” I have been given visions by the Goddess. The Moon Goddess has blessed me with the sight of the future and what I need to do.”
Then I paused which seemed to be dramatic and said,” Lord Credence is my mate. And the Goddess has shown me the vision of that.”
There were gasps and then shouts from all around the table as soon as I spoke this and then I looked at Drima and I found her brows raised. She knew that this needed to be done but she had not thought that I would do this now. Credence came near me and said,” I have never found anyone so sexy as I find you right at the moment.”
He placed his hand on the small of my back and I was grateful for his cold touch. It seemed to calm me down a little and then I said,” If you guys keep on clamouring like this then I would not be able to talk or answer.”
Mason was the first one to speak,” The black diamond on your crown seems to be pulsing abnormally. Is it because you accepted Lord Credence as your mate?”
“Yes, Mason. You are correct in thinking that. The gemstones on my crown except for the piece of the Amber stone which is mine are representatives of all the mates that I am going to have. Luke is my first mate, and Lord Credence is my second and I am thankful to the Goddess that I have considered this good to have a mate to help in these troubled times. And I shall like to inform you of this that I am going to have two more mates but I still have no clue who they are going to be,” I replied and Serena said,” The Moon Goddess has told you to be a slut and you wish to tell us that and we will believe you?”
“I don’t care what you believe or not. You can either be with me or against me. Now you can choose to be so,” I said as I looked at Serena and said,” At least I know that they are my mates, Serena. I did not have to go ahead and fuck a freaking demon from hell so that you could win the match and the Summit. And still you lost. Are you sure that you still want to lock horns with me?”
There was a pin drop silence in the entire room and Serena looked as if someone had slapped her. Then I said,” Now that it is over I want you to focus on what is important.”
I looked at Drima and she opened the tab again and I said,” We are being attacked by the Fae, the Dark fae to be more precise that the ones who have been turned by the Queen who has taken over them. We need to make sure that this does not happen again. For they have attacked me this time, and Luke is in coma for those bastards but I am not going to let my people fall in the hands of these creatures.”
Serafina cleared her throat beside me and I said,” there is one other thing that we have been able to come to know in our investigation of the Red Queens death which Torah tried to interrupt. And that is, she was poisoned and then murdered by someone.”
At first there was silence and then someone said,” that is a very serious accusation. Do you have evidence of that?”
“The murder was done by someone else and the poisoning was done by someone else. And we have to ascertain this that the poisoning was done by someone inside the castle. The cup which had been poisoned is still with us and it has now been protected and taken as evidence. Now all that we have seen is in our knowledge and we are entirely certain that there is someone who is acting as a mole for the Dark fae and we need to apprehend him or her as soon as possible. To stop any kind of further attacks on the capital,” said Serafina and I was grateful that she spoke.
Then Credence said,” There needs to be a war. But before that we need to strengthen our forces. If we can understand the reason why they are trying to attack us then it will be easier for us to make plans.”
His voice was strong and cold and it left no room for discussion. It was pretty sure from his tone that he was more than enough experienced with matters of warfare and I had a very strong ally in that case. Now all that we needed to do was tell him of the plan that I had in my mind. It could not be discussed in front of the people and I knew that it needed to be taken up very carefully.
“Then what is the plan that we need to implement now?” I asked looking at Drima.
“I think that we need to begin with talking to all the people of the staff who came in contact with the Queen the day that she was assassinated. That way the process would be faster. Shall we start now?” asked Drima and I nodded. But Credence said,” I would need to retire now that it is almost dawn. I think I shall come back again in the evening and then we can further proceed with the next phase of our plans.”
“Why would you need to leave? Stay here in the castle. I am not done with you yet.”
And the look on my face must have said it all and then he nodded.
“Let’s begin then.”
