Chapter 82
“How did you get him to be ready for us so easily? I had thought that he was going to make us grovel and wail and moan and beg,” said Serafina and I smiled at her and said,” No, nothing of the sort. He looked at Credence as he was his enemy however and I told Credence to maintain a respectful distance. But tell me how is Luke doing?”
“I have been checking on him every couple of hours. He does not seem to be in any kind of pain and discomfort but there is something that has happened. His memories regarding you are being altered. All the characters are same, and by that I mean, everyone is there who are here but he looks like, or his memories look like that they have been shifted to some kind of alternate dimension where he is trying to woo you and you are slipping away from his grasp.”
“This is not something that I am essentially wanting to hear, and you know that. Tell me something good please?” I asked and my sisters looked at me with sad puppy eyes.
“His memories are being altered because of the spell that the Fae cast on him,” said Winnie and as I looked at her she said,” This is not going to change until and unless you go to the Fae realm and bring back his soul.”
“I do understand that, baby. But I am not going to be able to do that until and unless I do have the support of at least one or two of my destined mates. I know that you all are too young to understand what that might entail but I myself am not strong enough to do this,” I said as I moved to see my other sister who was laughing out loud.
“Sin, I know that you think that you are not strong enough but you have to remember that you yourself fought against the demonic forces inside Rubina and then almost killed her in cold sweat. You are the Queen that Amorentia has been waiting for since so long. You alone are powerful enough to do anything that you wish to but we do understand what you are saying as well. It is good to have a back up plan,” said Willie and I looked at her thinking how on earth was she even going to know things like this.
“Their powers are increasing exponentially every day it seems,” muttered Serafina and I had to agree with her.
“How on earth are you getting to know all this stuff? I want to know that,” I asked. And they just looked at each other and smiled and said,” The one story that you were telling, she made sure that we know all the right things at the right time. So that you never face what she had to face and we are going to make sure that you remain safe,” said Winnie.
“This is going to be war, darling,” I said with a sigh and then said,” But I am not scared. Because I know that I have you all. And that I am going to win this no matter what it takes for me to do.”
“Do you think that now might be a good time to tell her?” asked Willie as she was looking at Winnie and Winnie said,” She is under a lot of pressure as it is. Should we burden her anymore?”
“She has to know it before she connects and mates with any of them. There will be someone else who will be coming to claim her as well. If she steps back then all that has been built upon will crumble down like a pack of cards and….” Said Willie and Winnie said,” House of cards, stupid…not pack of cards…”
“Ok. Fine. House of cards. So she needs to know. If not today then at least tomorrow. Before she bites Credence and then mates with the Elf Prince Callum. You do understand what is stake here, don’t you?” asked Willie and I was looking at the both of them as if they were speaking in some kind of alien language of which I had no idea and suddenly I spoke up.
“You both do understand that I am sitting right here, don’t you?”
They nodded in silence.
“And you also understand that I am the older one who is the Queen of the country. And so when I say that you need to make this clear and tell me what is it that is bothering you then you need to tell me. Does that mean clear?” I asked. I was speaking in a slow sound and low voice but my voice meant that I was not in the mood of tolerating any kind of nonsense.
“Are you sure you want to know this Sin?” asked Willie and I looked at her with my brows raised.
Winnie said,” She is right, Sin. This is not something that you are going to be able to take lightly at all. So you have to be ready for this.”
“What is this about? What is all this hush hush and secrecy?” asked Serafina and I looked at Willie and said,” Look, I have heard enough to understand that you know something which is of great importance and that is something I need to know and it is connected to one of my mates as well. So please spill. Since you know all about mating and what happens in the entire process of being connected by blood that now you need to tell me as well.”
“You are not our mother’s daughter,” said both of them together.
“I am, sorry? What are you saying? I am not what now?” I asked. It sounded so strange hearing it from them that I could not stop from asking myself. And then they said something which was going to rock my world in its entirety. That was going to make sure that I was never going to be able to take any thing as it’s face value again.
“You are the daughter of the Red Queen. The one born of the magic of Fae, strength and cunning of Elf, blood of vampire, essence and soul of wolf and seed of demon lord.”
Both of them said this together and after hearing this I lost consciousness.
Everything before me turned black.
