“Would you please repeat what you said just now?” asked Credence once again and it felt like a layer of ice had fallen all over the room. But Sin remained unfazed. She knew that something like this was going to happen so she did not react very strongly. Instead she calmly looked at him and said,” Which part is difficult to understand?”
“The part where you said that you are going to have four mates and one of them is going to be a demon prince who will rise from hell and then claim you to make you the Queen of hell,” said Credence and this time Sin looked at him with an equally icy glare and said,” You think that I like this?”
“You are telling this to us. Now what in the name of the blessed heavens have we done to elicit this kind of destiny?” asked Prince Callum with his face tight with concern.
“That was a question that I needed to ask the erstwhile Red Queen who had created this entire mess and then dropped me directly in the middle of it. But I don’t have that same luxury as well. There has been a prophecy,” said Sin and the men waited for her to reveal what it was.
“The prophecy is that it is me who is going to bring together the five realms and then unite to create the strongest world and power front that the supernatural community has ever seen. The vampires lost their lands and realm to the Dark Queen a long time back and now it is the Fae realm which is suffering from the aftereffects of her attack but I cannot allow mine or the Elf kingdom and not even hell to suffer in this way,” said Sin.
“What are you saying?” asked Credence. Then he said,” I have been alive for nine centuries and I have seen the world change so gradually that you would curse time, Queen Sin, but that doesn’t mean that what you have heard is true. There is no hell and there is definitely no realm and has not been there for the vampires.”
“You must be mistaken, Lord Credence,” said Prince Callum as he looked at the vampire and then said,” The Queen is correct. The vampires did have a realm and there were five realms and not four as of now.”
“How do you know that?” asked Credence now as he looked at the Prince and then he said,” You would think that when you live nine centuries you would know a lot but it seems like there also you would fail.”
“I know this because we have been taught about the creation of the realms, the power pockets and the gems which give power to all the realms. The wolf realm, that is Amorentia and the human world is connected where the vampires have taken refuge when their realm was taken over. The crystal which gave you the vision of having four mates gave you all the rest of the visions?” asked Callum and Sin sighed.
“No the crystal gave me one vision. After that I did not have the time to go back to the caves to find out if the things that have been going on are some how related. But you do believe me right?” asked Sin and the Elf Prince looked at her and nodded.
“Yes my Queen. I do believe what you are saying. You are right. This has happened before and I know that if you are saying that the dark Queen is trying to overtake the Fae Realm then she is somehow very weak and that is why she has gone after the most magical and most powerful realm where the power of the gems have been the most utilized and so they have grown,” said Callum and Sin looked at him in shock.
“I did not think about it in that way. And the Fae Prince is in hiding and he is trying to communicate with me when he has the chance but I am trying to keep him away,” said Sin as there was a twinkling sound inside the room and there was a shower of golden glitter on them and they heard a voice,” Why would you think that, Queen Sin?”
“Think that you are an arrogant obnoxious bastard who is so damn self righteous that he does not have the sense of privacy?” asked Sin in a bored voice and all the men in the room went deadly silent. The Queen of wolves was publicly berating the Fae Prince in such a way and no one knew what they were supposed to say.
Sin looked at all of them and said,” What? What do you guys think? How does it feel that you are being snooped on at every point of time? That you know that there is a chance that you are never alone and the thoughts that you might have are completely not in your control?”
None of the men said anything again and this time Sin said,” I did not ask you to shut your trap holes, so please speak.”
“My Queen, it is understandable that you are under a lot of pressure but don’t you think that it might be related to the thing that your second in command told you some time earlier?” asked Callum and Credence looked at her and Xander was looking at him like he had gone mad.
“She says a lot of things and I don’t remember all of them, but please since you think that you have found out the issue. Please tell me what it is,” said Sin in an exasperated manner.
“The realms have been without a Queen for too long. There is only one realm, that is Amorentia which can have a Queen as its leader, and except that all the other realms were always at an imbalance of power until they had Queens and right now except Amorentia, all the realms are at the mercy of the Dar Queen like Fae Realm because they don’t have a Queen. That was the reason your mother wanted to do this so that you could defeat her for once and all,” said the Fae Prince Xander and Sin looked at his fleeting image with such hatred that it was palpable.
“Your mother? I thought that it was the Red Queen who had done all this and then dropped you in this,” said Callum and then Credence sucked in a breath sharply.
“The Red Queen was her mother,” said Credence in a soft voice and the Fae Prince said,” Took you guys long enough to understand. I wish I could be there and help here like she needs help but no one knows what is going to happen when you mate with multiple partners from different races. So you have to take it in your stride. I know that I am not going to be the first one to mate with her but still, I would love to see you soon, amore.”
And the Fae Prince disappeared from the room without leaving any trace. There was a knock on the door and Sin said,” Come on in.”
It was one of the maids who had brought the food and the wine and the blood on a table and Sin thanked her and she went away silently.
“Please help yourself to some food,” said Sin as she took the plate filled with fried bacons and then started eating it and Credence knew that he had to help himself so he poured the chilled blood in the glass and sipped it. The Elf Prince stood up and took the chocolate covered doughnut which was cream filled as well and then bit into it. As the chocolate spilled in his mouth he said with a moan,” I need to take your cook away from you. This man is a genius.”
“How do you know that it was a man?” asked Sin and Callum said,” True. I don’t know that. So whoever it might be I might abduct the person and take him or her away with me.”
“Then there shall be war,” said Credence in a dry voice while the other two people in the room laughed.
“But on a serious note, your second in command mentioned that your mood might worsen because of this strange timing and you are going into a mating frenzy. I am not saying that it would be the same for you since you are a lot more powerful than ordinary creatures but I think that it might be the reason that you are craving more meat and chocolate and said such to the Fae Prince,” said Callum.
“Well he had it coming,” said Sin without even a hint of regret in her voice.
“But how on earth do you think that you shall be able to mate with all of us at the same time?” asked Credence.
“Who said it will be at the same time?” asked Sin with a wink and then she bit into another piece of bacon.
