Chapter 68
At first I could not understand for a moment what was happening and so I stood up. I was in a simple gown and I had no weapons on me.
This was the capital palace of Amorentia and this was the first day that I had stepped up on the throne and now there was an attack. The people who had entered were not wolves and they did not have any kind of smell on them. They were all dressed in black completely and there features were not even close to what I had seen ever in my life.
“Sin, get inside as soon as possible,” said Luke as he immediately changed into his wolf and then I said,” Like hell I shall!!!”
I did not wait as I let the power of the Alpha Queen spread in my veins and then suddenly I saw that I was not me. I was not human either. I was neither a human and neither a complete wolf. I was a huge standing humanoid wolf standing at seven feet tall. My hands were hard and clawed. I was such a beautiful and enigmatic combination of wolf and human that I could not believe my own eyes but I did not have the time to wait and to admire myself.
There was a man who came at me and swung his sword in my direction and immediately I ducked and then slashed his stomach. It was like moving your hand through the gooyey blackness which covered my fingers. It was completely sticky. But I did not even have the time to wait for the Fae because there were so many attacking me at the same time.
And my training took over just like that.
I slashed and kicked and then bit and growled and kept on fighting like there was something possessed inside me. The more I saw them falling the more my bloodlust grew. I wanted to end it all. I had to end them all. They had dared threaten my kingdom. They had dared attack me.
There was going to be no mercy on how I was going to treat these bastards. Luke was standing there at one side panting as suddenly there was a yelp and a howl from him and my focus on killing got sidetracked. There were not many of them left now and my Guard Council had also arrived by now. There were no more live Fae except the one that was being held Credence under his arms and he was trying to escape.
“Kill him,” I growled and the voice that came out of my throat was not mine.
The Guards looked at me and then they were stunned at the bodies lying at my feet and all around the garden. They looked at me and I looked at them and then I suddenly felt that all the power from my body was gone. Credence retracted his fangs back in his gum and I was naked and cold but I still ran in the direction of Luke was lying there panting. He looked so sick and fragile and I screamed in abject terror. I had not even mated with him and yet even in this time he looked like he was dying.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,” my scream perforated the air and the trees even I could hear how I sounded. I touched him and it felt like I was stung with a jolt of dark sensation creeping down my arms.
“My Queen….my Queen…please…we don’t know what is running in his blood. We need you to be safe,” said Dan and I could not feel that there was this oily finger creeping up my body. And it was not happening from outside and it was from inside. I had this sense that it was trying to touch my body in all my private places and I screamed again and I started clawing myself. There was something foreign travelling inside my body and I wanted it out immediately.
“Stop moving, Sin. I am not even being able to understand where it is moving?” said Serafina as she placed her hands over my body.
The Fae which was under the arms of Credence screamed something in Gaelic and I looked at him and he gasped. I looked at him and relied back in the same frost bitten tone.
“You need to live because you need to go back and tell your Queen that I am coming for her. I am going to make sure that I am going to flay her alive and her screams will be nothing but music to all. You have seen only a fraction of what I can do and that killed all your friends. Tell her that the men she sent will be burn and their ashes will be kept in the vaults of Amorentia forever. Their bodies would never see the light of the Fae realm again,” I spoke and the man screamed something outrageously and I smiled coldly at him.
Then I removed Serafina’s hand from over my body and then stood up and changed my hand to a clawed one again and caught hold of his abdomen sinking my claws in them and then picked him up by sheer force and then threw him back in the portal and suddenly the black thing which I felt was inside me came out of my mouth with full force and entered the portal with a screeching sound and the portal shut behind them with a swirl.
I moved back and staggered back a few steps. And I was immediately caught by a pair of strong hands and I felt safe but the moment I felt the cold seeping in my skin I looked at Luke and then screamed again.
“I have not mated yet with him. You cannot go. Not like this. I have just started my journey Luke….please you promised me that you were going to take care of me….please Luke…why are you doing this to me?” I asked as I did not even know that I was sobbing with full force.
But there was a pair of hands which was pulling me away from him, after putting the cloak over my body since I was naked. It was Credence and he said,” My Queen, you need to be able to let him go. Or they are not going to be able to treat him.”
“I cannot leave him. It is my fault. I let him get hurt.”
“It is not your fault and you can never consider yourself guilty for that, my Queen. Come on. Let them take him. We are going with him. Nothing is going to happen to him. I shall make sure to bring my personal doctors as well. If the Healer cannot help him then mine can,” said Credence as he wrapped his arms around me and I was grateful for the warmth that I got from his gesture.
The wolves caught hold of Luke carefully and then picked him up and then they started moving as fast as it was possible. Luke was an adult wolf with a heavy body mass and it was natural that they would not be able to hold him or carry him easily but they finally reached the room that was closest and Drima and the Pack healer were ready for us.
Luke was immediately given oxygen and Serafina started searching for the thing which had poisoned him and she said,” Sin, I think you should see what I saw.”
I looked at her with confusion etched on my face.
