Chapter 119

Third Person

*Author’s Note: Hey guys, just a quick little reminder. Chapter 119 thru Chapter 121 will each take place during the time Ella was kidnapped and not after. So when reading them please be aware that you are reading the events that lead up to her rescue not after the rescue if that makes any sense. “Any luck on finding her yet?” says the voice of Caleb. His once bright blue eyes now tired and dull. Neither he nor his brothers getting the proper sleep needed since the day Ella was taken from them.

“Does it look like I’ve found her yet!” snaps Dylan. Dylan working tirelessly at his computer as he attempts to use every trick he knew to try and find their Stellina. Their star.

“ENOUGH! BOTH OF YOU!” yells Reece to his brothers. His mood not much better. “We’re not here to fight amongst ourselves. We’re here to find her.”

“Sorry” mutter both Dylan and Caleb. Both of them ashamed at how they were acting with one another as Dylan moves to return to his computer. Having spent endless hours searching for any and all clues while double checking security feeds. Only to come up empty.

Almost like whoever helped in Ella’s abduction knew how to bypass the security feed. As if they had a spy within their mist. Dylan too focused on his computer screen to listen in on what Caleb had to say next.

“I still don’t get it though. I only left her for not even an hour. How could they have taken her without me knowing it. I mean… I was only in the kitchen when it happened.”

“That’s because whoever it was that did it, knew that’s where you’d be” comes the voice of someone new. Reece, Caleb and Dylan each pausing in what they were doing to address their newest arrival.

Alanna.

The woman having been released from the Hospital just shortly after Caleb had gotten her there. The area in which she had been shot in thankfully fixed. The Doctor’s managing to stop the bleeding and remove the bullet. The Doctor’s giving her a clean bill of health with a stern rule of taking it easy for the next couple of days until it healed completely.

Alanna also worried about Ella as she had failed the one person she’d been sent to protect. Reece quick in speaking once Alanna had entered the room with them.

“What do you mean?”

“What I mean is… whoever your supposed mole here is, knew exactly who was home and how to disconnect the alarm. Giving Misha and Alexis access to the house without anyone knowing it.”

Reece and his brothers each taking that time to let her words carefully sink in. Each of them wondering just who could possibly turn on them when they treated all their staff well. Not only in benefits but in pay too.

“But… I don’t understand” says Caleb who still couldn’t grasp the ideal of someone betraying them let alone work for the Russian Mafia.

“Then hopefully this will help shed some light on the current situation here” explains Alanna as she moves to hold up a little black device. The device large enough to draw the attention of Reece and his brothers.

“What’s that?” questions Caleb again. Almost like he was afraid to know the answer to it.

“A hidden camera of course.”

At the mention of camera does Reece, Dylan and Caleb each move to focus on the little black thing within Alanna’s hand. Neither of them sure where it came from as neither had seen it before until now.

“Where was that?”

Pausing in her words does Alanna refrain from telling the boys. Not sure how they would react to it once learning where it was. A part of her pissed that it was even there to begin with. Reece quick in noticing the long pause and moves to ask again.

“Alanna?”

Sighing, she moves to answer Reece. “I found it in Ella’s room. I decided to explore her room in hopes of finding clues only to find this hiding amongst the bookshelf of her room.”

Upon hearing the words hidden camera and Ella’s room both combined does Reece and his brothers each burst into rage. “WHAT?!”

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WAS IN ELLA’S ROOM?”

“WHO PLACED IT THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE?”

Each one a valid question. Each one a valid concern. A concern in which Alanna couldn’t address as she didn’t have those answers. Alanna just waiting for the trio to calm down long enough before continuing with what she was doing. Alanna quick in approaching Dylan as she moves to set the camera down in front of him. Dylan quick to arch a brow.

“Here, take it”

“Why?”

“Because it was in her room. And if anyone here deserves to see what’s inside it, it should be you. Not the Police and most importantly not your uncle.”

At the mention of their uncle does Dylan move to ask again. “Won’t you get in trouble for disobeying direct orders from him?”

Shrugging her shoulders does Alanna move to answer back. “Maybe. But it’s a risk I’m willing to make if it means finding Ella or at least who’s behind the mole.”

Hesitating slowly, Dylan moves to look at Reece and Caleb. Almost like he wanted their opinion in what to do next. Reece quick to answer him back.

“Do it. Let’s see what you find. For the sooner we find the answers we need the sooner we’ll know what we’re up against.”

Nodding his head, Dylan moves to take the device before moving to plug it in. Dylan quick in trying to access the files inside when suddenly there’s another knock at the door. Reece and Caleb both moving to look at the other before both turn to address the door, each of them annoyed at who had interrupted them now.

“WHAT?!”

Reece’s voice strong yet firm as he moves to address the person on the other side of the door. His eyes moving to see who it was only to see both Grant and Hayden. Both of them wearing grim expressions as they slowly move to enter the room.

Grant quick to look at Hayden and then to Reece and Caleb. Both males in no mood for games as they move to speak up. “Well? What is it? Speak, NOW!”

Grant finally moving to speak. “Sorry for disturbing you, but we thought you should see this.”

“See what?” asks Caleb this time around.

Quick to decide in jumping straight to the point does Grant move to hand them an envelope. The envelope thick as Reece moves to grab it. His eyes on the thick piece of paper before moving to open it slowly without even thinking. His eyes soon showing every emotion known to man as he continued to look at the items within the folder. Dylan and Caleb both waiting for him to finally say what it was.
