Chapter 87

Ella

~Earlier that Night~

Upon arriving at the estate does Reece hold true to his word. Reece wasting no time in showing me the huge estate. The estate having a total of four floors, including that of the main floor. The top 3 floors all closed off to the general public.

My eyes slowly taking in all the different sights. Reece still giving me the grand tour. “Over here we have a door that leads you into a massive library” explains Reece as he moves to show me the library next. Having just come down from the top 3 floors all in which were vacant.

“Woah” I answer softly. My eyes now taking in all the books. The library designed like that from Beauty and the Beast. Floor to ceiling bookshelves that were filled with rows and rows of books to beautiful tall windows as high as the ceiling. While a huge mahogany table with high back chairs also graced the room by sitting elegantly within the middle.

My eyes quick to see a beautiful rug that also sat upon the floor closest to the fireplace along with two plush couches that looked great for cuddling upon or for snuggling with a blanket and reading a good book.

A room I could definitely see myself using every day if we lived here. My body now eager to see what else was here. “Where too next?”

Chuckling at my words does Reece move to continue his tour. Reece soon leading me towards an elevator. My eye arching as Reece moves to press a button which causes the elevator to open up. Reece then pressing another button just as the doors close shut and it begins to descend. My curiosity growing.

The elevator eventually opening only to reveal to me a big vacant room. The lower level empty just like the top 3 floors or so I thought. “Reece? What is this place?” I ask, my eyes curious as to what I was seeing.

“It’s the basement. But it’s not just any basement. It’s a basement designed to turn itself into whatever you need. Here, I’ll show you.”

Confused by his words does Reece move to demonstrate. Reece moving to show me a panel. A panel that sat neatly upon the wall as he moved to type in a code. A code that made the walls of the room move. The walls shifting as if they were designed to do that.

The room transforming into that of a home gym. “Woah” I say again. “That’s so cool, what else can this space do?”

“It can do lots of things baby. I mean, aside from the average home gym we have it programed to turn into an indoor tennis court and….” Pausing in his explanation does Reece move to type in another code. The room changing again. The room now turning into that of a dance studio. My eyes wide with shock.

“Reece… it’s…”

Failing for words do I take this time to admire the elegant dance studio. A wall holding floor to ceiling mirrors along with a bar that dancers used when practicing their dance routines or for stretching.

“It’s stunning” I finally say.

“And it’s yours” admits Reece.

A gasp rising as I move to look at him directly. “What?”

“I said, it’s yours. If you want it of course. Caleb, Dylan and I had this all recently installed. We wanted to surprise you with a place you could use for dance. In fact, we weren’t even sure if we’d come back to this place or not. But looking back, I know we made the right choice.”

“But… you said this place was huge. Even with all the staff combined” I move to tell him. Suddenly remembering his words that he used with me during our car ride here.

“Yes. That is correct. I did say this place was huge. But… with a little fine tuning I truly think we could make this place become a place worth living in.”

Upon hearing that do I move to stare at him like a gaping fish. My mind now thinking of all the possibilities of what we could do with this place. Excitement bubbling within me. My mind racing at all the changes we could do if my brothers physically allowed it to happen.

“Then… does this mean we can live here?”

“Yes baby”

Suddenly, with eyes wide and full of surprise does Reece move to chuckle again. “What? Did you honestly think I didn’t see the way your mind was trying to process everything just now. Because honestly, I knew the moment I told you about this place that you would want it just as badly.”

Stunned to silence does Reece continue to smile. My mind still playing catchup. “Look. I know it’s a lot to take in and tonight was meant to be for us. To dance. To have fun. Not for me to overload your beautiful mind. So, before we move to head back to tonight’s event I do want to show you one more thing and that’s our pool as I know you like to spend your summers by the water.”

Nodding my head in agreement does Reece move to take me back. Reece now leading me back into the same elevator as before. An unspoken silence now filling the air as Reece moves to lead me straight towards the giant pool.

My eyes now taking in the scenery as we both just stand there admiring the view. My eyes on the glow of the poolside lighting. A part of me wanting to take a midnight swim right there with Reece but knew we couldn’t with all those people present.

Reece having sensed my thoughts as he moves to whisper against my ear. “Another time baby. Maybe once we take back what’s ours we can.”

Shivering at the thought does Reece move to kiss the side of my neck. “How about something to drink? The silent auction is about to start, and I have a special surprise for you.”

“You do?”

“I do”

“Okay then”

Kissing me once more does Reece move to pull away. My body already missing his. Reece quick in moving back up the stairs of the house as he moves to get us something to drink. A sigh now rising until a voice moves to greet me.

A voice telling me that I wasn’t alone like I first had thought.

“Hi. I’m Hannah. I do believe we met only briefly that night at the Waterway Court. That restaurant Dylan’s cousin owns. But truly, I am sorry because I never got a name and it be nice to know who I’m speaking with”

Pausing with my words do I move to greet those of Hannah. Hannah’s 5’10 frame currently dressed in a stunning red dress. A dress like that of Jessica Rabbit but without the glitter. My mind now wondering if I could get away from her without talking to her.

But, deciding to be the bigger person do I move to answer back. “Hi. I’m Ella. It’s nice to meet you too.” The two of us now moving to shake hands as she moves to lean in closer.

Her presence sending a wave of tension through me as she moves to whisper against my ear. “You know… it’s not super nice to take what doesn’t belong to you. Dylan’s mine. Now and forever, so you best get used to seeing me around more.”

Shock and anger both rising within me as she does. Anger at the thought of her trying to claim Dylan as hers and shocked that she thought I wasn’t entitled to each of my brothers. Because unbeknownst to her, anybody who knew our family knew that I already claimed them as mine long before anyone else tried to.

A very long time ago. A time when I was only 6 years old. And because of that, no one and I meant no one was going to take them away from me ever. Not even this bitch, Hannah. For I was going to fight for what belonged to me one way or another.
