Chapter 140

Third Person

Chaos. Utter chaos. The room bursting into madness as those within the room had zero clue as to what was happening as those within it began screaming. Ella in a state of panic as she tried to see what was happening.

“Reece? Dylan? Caleb?”

“Stellina!”

The uncertainty of what was happening evident. Nobody aware of how it happened until it happened. Reece quick in grabbing Ella by the hand before yanking her towards the direction of cover. The need to protect their woman rising as the sound of guns began to sound off.

Screams getting louder and louder as people tried to find cover. Rian’s men along with Antosha’s men all moving to aim right back. Nobody sure on who was attacking them until it was finally too late. A massive wave of men all dressed in heavy combat gear soon began walking into the hall as they continued to shoot.

People both innocent and non all falling to the floor in cold blood. Ella’s eyes wide as she witnesses such horror. Ella glad her children were gone so as not to witness the madness.

A familiar voice soon calling out into the crowd. A voice Ella hoped she would never hear again. “Oh Ella darling, come out, come out wherever you are.”

The blood within Ella soon cold. Her heart racing with uncertainty as Reece continued to hold her. Her heart pounding within her ears as she tries to get herself under control. Caleb and his brothers each growling upon hearing the voice. Nicholas’s voice. Nicholas smug as he stood protected among his men. His men still shooting at anything that moved. His voice quick to call out once more.

“You know, you can make this all stop Ella. All you have to do is surrender. Surrender to me and I can make this all go away. It’s that simple. I’ll even have my men pull back if only you’d submit to me right here.”

A small, tiny whimper quick to rise as Ella continued to cling to Reece. Dylan and Caleb both growling as they continued to hide along the rubble. Caleb quick to yell out in return.

“Piss off Nicholas! She’s ours. Go find yourself another woman to marry.”

Nicholas frowning at the words. Nicholas clearly unamused by what he had to say. Nicholas soon speaking yet again. “Butt out little boy. This doesn’t concern you. This is between me and my woman. The same woman who should have been mine all along.”

“Please… Your nothing but a two face liar and a little child. If it weren’t for the fact that you’re the Russian Heir to Antosha’s Empire then we would have stomped you like a bug.”

Nicholas quick to growl at being called a two face liar and a child, for no one and he meant no one dared to insult him and lived. Nicholas quick in aiming his gun before moving to shoot directly at Caleb. Caleb managing to dodge the bullet just in the nick of time before it hit.

“Careful who you call child Caleb. Wouldn’t want to insult your wife would we?”

Caleb soon growling in return. Caleb clearly not pleased with the reference of his wife being called a child as he moves to look for something he could use for a weapon. Not pleased with the man who ruined their reception. Caleb eventually spotting a rod from one of the fallen pillars from where the explosion took place.

Caleb’s hand quick in grabbing the weapon before moving to signal for Reece and Dylan. The three of them having trained for this moment alongside their uncle. Each of them waiting for the day things became critical.

Ella

When hearing Nicholas shoot off his weapon within the air did a piece of me suddenly jump. Fear rising as Reece and I continued to hide behind falling pieces of debris. My hands still clinging to Reece as I listened to Caleb’s taunt.

‘Caleb’ I mentally think. Not sure what he was playing at. My eyes soon trying to find his when another round of bullets go off. Guests still screaming as people continued to run. Most of them tripping over the other while others moved to fight back.

The sound of screaming soon catches my focus as I move to see what happened only to see that Caleb managed to hit one of Nicholas’s men with the hard iron rod. The man clutching his arm as Caleb grabs his gun.

The gun now aimed directly at the guy as Caleb moves to shoot. The guy quick in hitting the floor as blood began oozing from where the gun had shot him. My heart instantly fluttering at seeing what Caleb had done.

Nobody aware of their surrounding until suddenly its far too late. The sound of another gun going off rings within the air and Caleb soon hits the ground. My world shattering as I stood where I was as my husband begins to hit the ground. His head quick in smacking the floor with a thud.

My eyes widening at what I was seeing.

“CALEB!”

“NO!”

Dylan quick in rushing for Caleb. Reece about to go as well only for me to grab his arm. Tears rising within my eyes as I slowly began to panic. “NO! Reece. Please, don’t go!”

Reece’s focus soon on me. “Ella. Baby. I have to check on Caleb. But I promise you I’ll be right back. But until then I need you to be strong. I need you to hide for us. Please. Find some place safe to hide and whatever you do, don’t move until we come for you. Understand?”

“But….”

“No, Ella. GO!”

Unable to argue do I move to run away like told. A piece of me knowing that if I didn’t listen to him now then I would eventually become a liability for them later on. Unaware that I was soon being followed until suddenly I crash into something hard. My body quick in hitting the floor with a thud as I move to look up only to freeze.

For there, standing before me was James. James smirking directly towards me as he moves to hold my gaze. My body trembling as he moves to grab me by the hair. His hold over me tight as he yanks me to my feet. His voice harsh when speaking.

“Come along now Princess. Our limo awaits.”

“NO! STOP! LET ME GO! REECE! DYLAN! PAPA! RIAN!”

“HELP!”
