Chapter 39

Ella

-The Pearl Cove-

When finally approaching Pearl Cove I can’t help but notice the stunning building that made up the front of the restaurant. Another one of many businesses that was currently owned by my brothers as a doorman moves to open up our car door.

Reece having gotten us a limo for the night so that we might all be able to drive together rather than in separate vehicles as each of us slowly began to file out of the limo slowly. First Reece then me followed by Dylan and Caleb with Grant, Kris and Hayden bringing up the rear.

“Good Evening Sirs, Madame. How are you this lovely evening?” asks the doorman as he moves to stand before us holding the door.

“Good Evening James” greets Reece, his eyes glancing at the name tag on his shirt as James continues to smile in turn.

“Is everything prepared like asked?” asks Reece again.

“Yes Sir” answers James as he continues to hold open the restaurant door for us. My eyes taking in the scenery inside. Rich vibrant colors glittering all around until another person moves to greet us at the door.

“Hello and Welcome to Pearl Cove. Please allow us to show you to your seat” was all I heard as another greeter moved to take us into a private dining area for us to sit down and enjoy. The restaurant catering to the other families besides our own.

“They look busy” I murmur, taking in the full house away from us.

“Because they are. As we only hire the best for this restaurant Princess. Not just anyone can apply to work here” admits Dylan, his eyes slowly watching mine before turning to look back at his menu.

Nodding my head I slowly went back to admiring the place in general that was until a lady slowly moved to approach us. Her dual color eyes gazing at each of my brothers like a piece of meat, irritation rising as she did.

“Hello and Welcome. My name is Tessa and I’ll be your waitress this evening. What can I get started for you?” asks Tessa, her eyes slowly scanning over each of the guys.

“I’ll have a scotch” answers Caleb with a smile.

“I’ll do the same” answers Dylan, his eyes still focused on the menus within his hands.

“And for you Sir?” questions Tessa, her eyes now on Reece.

“I’ll have a bourbon” replies Reece, his eyes on me before looking over to Kris and her men.

“Right, Right” smiles the girl, eager to serve as she then turns to Grant and Hayden, completely overlooking both me and Kris as she moves to address them. “And for your two?”

“We’ll do a Jack and Coke please” offers Hayden, ordering for the both of them.

“Perfect! I’ll get those started for you” says the girl only to be stopped by Dylan when he speaks up yet again, drawing her focus over to him.

“You forgot the ladies”

“Oh, So sorry about that, what can I get you?”

Biting my tongue, I want to say that she totally didn’t forget about us but chose to ignore the accusation as Kris and I moved to order our drinks, me a water and Kris a strawberry lemonade.

“Of course. I’ll get those put in and drinks will be up shortly”

Then as if nothing else mattered she moves to leave, leaving us to our devices as a wave of displeasure slowly began to hit me. A hand coming to rest against my upper thigh which causes me to blink and look only to see it’s Reece.

“Don’t worry Agapi Mou, you're all we could ever want in a woman” whispers Reece, his hand now squeezing at my thigh in acknowledgement, his eyes showing me that he truly meant what he said.

Attempting to smile, I only nod my head just as the drinks begin to arrive, Caleb moving to speak up once they are placed upon the table. “You know, I think we need one more drink. Can we get a strawberry banana smoothie please?”

At the mention of a strawberry banana smoothie does my heart begin to race. Caleb being the only person that I knew who knew that I liked drinking them. My eyes moving to look directly towards him only to see him smile directly towards me as Tessa nods her head.

“Of course, I’ll put it right away.”

Feeling my heart flutter at his attentiveness I can’t help but smile in return if only just a little. The need to lean over the table and kiss him passionately comes to mind as I try not to act rash within the beautiful restaurant.

Returning the smile, Caleb offers me a small wink as well before each of us move to look over our menus, my eyes looking over every food choice imaginable. The food looking exceptionally yummy just by reading the name.

Hmm… What to get, what to get, I ponder, my eyes reading over each item on the menu unaware that my smoothie had arrived until Reece moves to set it down gently in front of me, drawing my attention to it as he did.

“Here you go Princess”

When hearing the name Princess do I quickly move to smile at him before noticing that the waitress was still standing at the table as if ready to take our order. Groaning to myself I move to ignore her not wanting to see the way she ogled my brothers.

“Is everyone ready to order?”

Glancing towards my menu again I slowly begin to panic, unsure of what to order only to hear Caleb move to speak up. “Yes.”

Panicked, I quickly move to look over to Caleb who only smiles over in my direction as if he already knew what to order.

“Alright, what can I get for you then?”

“I’ll have your biggest steak available, Medium Well and I’d also like an order of Chicken Alfredo please” replies Caleb, his eyes never leaving mine even as he orders. My eyes taking in what he just did for me.

He-He ordered for me, I silently think, my heart swelling at the thought of him doing that for me, Dylan carefully taking the menu from within my hand as everyone else slowly begins to order their meals for the evening.

Once finished with grabbing everyone’s order including Kris’s, we all go back to silently chatting amongst ourselves, Caleb telling me all about his race and how he managed to come in first place like always, my heart racing with excitement as he did.

“That’s so cool. I hope someday I’ll be able to come see you race” I admit softly.

“And you will” admits Caleb, causing me to blink at his words.

“Eh?” I say, confused.

“I’m saying when I go for my next race. The minute I know when that is, I'll be taking you with me as my own personal plus one” winks Caleb just as our food slowly begins to arrive, Dylan carefully passing my food over to Reece who in turn sets it down in front of me.

“Looks yummy”

“That’s because it is”

Tenseing at the voice, my eyes moved to see who it was that spoke only to realize it wasn’t any of my brothers nor was it Hayden or Grant. Lifting my gaze I moved to see who it was only to see it was the man from my parents' funeral.

The same man who kept giving me weird vibes as his blue-gray eyes continued to watch mine.

“I beg your pardon?” I whisper, loud enough for him to hear and those around the table.

“The alfredo, it’s yummy”

Fighting for words I try to speak again only for Reece to do it for me.

“I’m sorry, but do we know you?”
