Chapter 97
Reece
I’m currently in the middle of helping Dylan and Caleb hang something up when my phone moves to buzz. Unable to answer it at the given moment as we were attempting to make Ella’s 18th Birthday special.
“There, all done. Think she’ll love it?” asks Caleb as we move to admire the huge banner now hanging within the room. A banner that read Happy Birthday Ella in big, beautiful lettering. The colors for the grand reveal all creams and golds with hints of blush to give it an elegant feel.
“Yeah. I think she will” offers Dylan with a smile.
As the goal for the grand reveal was simple. That Kris and Ella would go and have a fun yet simple girls day out while Dylan, Caleb and I worked on setting up the event for tonight’s big party. A small celebration among a close group of people along with close friends and family.
The pink star diamond now nestled within my jacket pocket. For tonight we also planned on proposing to her as well. Having won the diamond in the silent auction prior to Ella’s near death experience within the pool.
My brothers both excited at the thought of each of us marrying Ella. Our shining star.
My phone soon buzzing again. The buzzing now catching my attention as I move to see who it was only to see Ella’s name flash across the screen. Or so I thought it was before answering the phone. “Ella?” the sound of Ella’s name now catching both Dylan and Caleb.
My brothers now focused on me as I move to speak again. “Ella? Sweetheart? You need to calm down. I can’t understand you when your panicking like this.”
“It’s not Ella…. It’s me, Kris….”
“Kris?” I ask, suddenly confused as to why Kris had Ella’s phone and not Ella herself.
“Yes… Sorry… it’s just…. I didn’t know what else to do. Gods…. I’m so, so sorry. Please don’t hate me please” cries Kris as she continued to use Ella’s phone while speaking to us.
Panic and fear soon rising within me as I continued to listen to Kris. “Kris, what’s going on? Where’s Ella? Where is she?”
“Hospital. We’re at the Hospital.”
The word Hospital now being all I hear as Dylan moves to grab the phone. My heart racing as my ears begin to ring. Fear now gripping at my chest at the thought of Ella and the baby.
What? What happened to our Stellina?
Dylan now trying to calm Kris down long enough to talk to her. “Kris… it’s Dylan. What happened to Ella? Please, we need to know. Is the baby okay? Is Ella okay?”
“She…. She collapsed while at the restaurant. Alanna said someone spiked her water. I’m not sure about the baby though…Gods… I’m such a bad friend. But there looking her over now. Please….. I’m so, so sorry.”
Caleb now approaching me as he tries to keep me standing. Our sweet Princess now within a Hospital. My thoughts racing. Thoughts of who did it? Who could have spiked her drink? These were thoughts that now raced through me while Dylan moved to end the call with Kris.
“Okay. Whatever you do Kris, just stay where you are. We’ll be there as soon as we can?”
And with that spoken does Dylan move to hang up the phone. Dylan now locking eyes with Caleb. “Caleb, we need you and your super-fast racing skills. We have to get to that Hospital and stat. Ella needs us. Our child needs us.”
Nodding his head does Caleb move to grab his keys. Dylan and I now standing within the vast empty room. My eyes quick to look at Ella’s birthday banner. A banner that was supposed to be joyous.
“Come on dude, keep it together for Ella. Ella needs us. For as much as I wish this wasn’t true, I hate to admit that it is. So until then, we have to be strong for her. Our future wife.”
Nodding my own head do the both of us move to head for Caleb. “Thanks… I needed that.”
“No problem. It’s why were brothers. We’ll always have each other’s back, including Ella. Now then, let’s get going.”
Our eyes soon spotting that of Caleb. Caleb now in his favorite little car. “Alright now, hurry up. Our woman needs us” is all Caleb says as Dylan and I both move to climb into his waiting car. Caleb soon racing for the Hospital.
~30 minutes later~
After much speeding along with dodging oncoming traffic do we finally arrive in front of the Hospital. Caleb quick to park the car before the three of us all move to rush inside. My legs quick to lead me straight for the receptionist.
“Hello… how might I…” pausing in her words do we move to blurt out quickly.
“ELLA. Ella knight… is she here?”
The woman quick to type in her name. “Yes. She’s here. But only family can see her at the moment.”
“We are family. She’s my WIFE” I bark. The word wife accidentally slipping past my lips before I could even stop it. For Ella wasn’t just my wife but also Dylan and Caleb’s. But the lady who now stood before us didn’t need to know that tiny bit of information.
“Of course. Sorry. Please, take this hallway straight down until you reach an elevator. Once at the elevator you’ll move to take it straight up until you reach that of the 4th floor. From there you’ll find Ella.”
“Thank you. Thank you so very much.”
With pleasantries done do each of us move to do as instructed. The three of us following the long empty hallway until finding the elevator. Once there do we move to take the elevator up to the 4th floor like instructed.
Each of us nervous at what we would find.

Dylan
When getting the phone call earlier from Kris in regard to Ella was Reece instantly gutted. His reaction clearly shown along his face. None of us physically prepared for what Kris had to say.
Caleb quick to handle Reece while I on the other hand attempted to calm Kris down. A piece of me knowing that if I panicked then everyone else would too. A prime example now coming from Reece. Reece having told the receptionist that Ella was his wife.
And while granted we all couldn’t be Ella’s husband while in public, the loan fact of it all was Ella was ours. Our forever. And losing her would be painful not to mention the baby that was currently living within her too.
The elevator soon reaching that of the 4th floor. Reece, Caleb and I now moving to exit as we slowly move to find Ella’s room. Alanna now standing just outside the door while Kris sat alone with Ella within the room. A doctor now moving to exit. The three of us soon rushing towards the doctor in hopes of getting answers.
“DOCTOR!” I yell. The man in question now pausing. The man patiently waiting for us as we move to approach him. “Please, how’s Ella? How’s the baby? Please tell us.”
