Ella

“Who are you?”

At the sound of my voice do each of them turn to greet me. The woman turning to greet me only for me to see stunning blue-green eyes. The woman clearly 5’11. Grant quick to speak before anyone else could.

“Ella, there you are. Please allow us to introduce to you Alanna. Alanna here is….”

“My own personal guard right?” I ask, successfully cutting Grant off before he could continue. Hayden quick to chuckle while Grant stood staring at me.

“Yeah. How’d you know?”

“Uncle Rian. He called me earlier this morning. He told me I had a surprise waiting for me downstairs. And since I don’t see Reece, Caleb or Dylan anywhere I can only assume it’s her right?”

“And you would be correct little star” replies the woman. Her eyes still on me even as we continued to stand within the same room. A flutter within me rising at being called little star as my brothers loved to call me Stellina which also meant little star but in Italian.

Kris soon moving to greet both Grant and Hayden who in turn move to greet her. Both of them taking the time to kiss her. The five of us still standing within the room even as Mrs. Foster moves to enter.

“Oh. Good morning everyone and who might this be?” asks Mrs. Foster. Her eyes still locked on the woman.

“So sorry. My name is Alanna. And I am here for Ms. Ella. I’m to be her new personal assistant and guard” explains Alanna. Mrs. Foster taking the time to consider her words.

“And how long will you be staying with her?”

“I’m assigned to her for however long she may need me. As I’m under strict rules to follow her command and make sure that no one touches her or seeks to cause her harm” answers Alanna truthfully.

Mrs. Foster clearly pleased with the answer as she moves to smile at Alanna, who in turn nods her head and smiles as well. Mrs. Foster soon catching the time.

“Heavens my. Time for me to get to work. There’s lots to do before tonight’s big surprise. So I best be on my way if I want to get it all done by the time you girls get back home” chuckles Mrs. Foster as she moves to wink her eye.

A small smile soon rising as I move to nod my head. Kris finally returning to me after saying good morning to her men. Excitement now rising within me the more I thought about today, my attention now on Kris.

“You ready girl?”

“Yeah. I’m ready. Besides if we continue to stay here we’ll be late for our spa appointment” admits Kris. Both of us now ready to paint the town red. Grant and Hayden both chuckling. Alanna soon moving to follow us as we both move to leave the house.

When finally reaching Aeranas a sudden wave of déjà vu hits me. My mind quick to remember the last time we were here only to be running for our lives. Nicholas’s men chasing us around town only for them to land both of us in serious danger.

A danger that left me within the hospital. And Kris in major trouble with her parents. A danger I did not want to repeat anytime soon. My thoughts soon interrupted by a voice.

“Is this the place little star?”

Blinking, I move to look over at Alanna. Alanna currently behind the wheel of her black SUV. A black bullet proof, SUV. My focus shifting back to where we had been idling just outside the day spa. My head nodding as I move to answer her back.

“Yes. This is the place. Thanks”

Nodding her head does Alanna move to shut off the vehicle. Her hand quick in removing the key before moving to exit the driver side door. Kris and I both hurrying to catch up as she moves to stand next to the passenger side door. Alanna patiently waiting for us. The three of us soon entering the spa together.

Here goes nothing, come my scattered thoughts once entering the building. A lady soon greeting us as we move to approach the front desk.

“Hello and welcome to Aeranas. How might I help you today?”

“Yes, we have an appointment for a spa day.”

“Okay. And what’s the name that it’s under?”

“Kris. Kris Ryan.”

“Ah yes, I see it here. A spa day for 2” pausing in her words does the lady move to look at Alanna. “Ma’am… were you interested in joining them too?”

“No thank you. I am just here for Ella and her friend. Please continue helping them. I will be waiting right here for them until there finished for after all its Ella’s birthday” answers Alanna. Another blush rising along my face at being reminded that it’s my big day.

“Ooo… sounds exciting. And happy birthday to you Ms. Ella. I do hope you get to enjoy your day with lots of fun” replies the lady just as another lady comes to escort us to the back. Alanna now standing guard at the front door until we’re done.

“Okay ladies. I need both of you to go change into this and once done can we begin with the spa treatment” replies the lady as she moves to hand both of us a towel to wrap around ourselves before showing us to our room. Each of us in a private room.

Kris and I giving the other one final look before moving to change our clothes. Both of us unaware that someone had been watching us from a distance. The person in question now moving to text their boss.

Unknown: Boss… that girl you’ve been so keen on having is here. What should I do?

Nicholas: Keep an eye on her you idiot. I want tabs on her at all times.

Unknown: Okay Sir will do

Nicholas: Good. Oh and make sure her day is extra special too. After all it is her birthday.

Unknown: Roger that Sir.

With that said does the person in question move about their task, spying on Ella, for everyone knew that Nicholas would give them hell if they didn’t comply with his rule. As his rule was law when it came down to the Russian Mob.
