Chapter 120 ~ Author's Note
Hey guys!
I know I normally tend to post these more towards the end of my book especially once I manage to finish them but after reading a few of the comments on Wednesday I decided that maybe, just maybe I needed to post this now.
Reason being that I honestly feel like most of my lovely viewers don’t always seem to catch the small little notes that I tend to leave near the end of specific chapters once posting and while I know this doesn’t apply to all of you it does apply to some.
So with that said…. Please, please, let me formally apologize to everyone for my lack of updating this book. For while some of you are patiently waiting for chapters some of you are openly frustrated with the lack of while I on the other hand have been trying to overcome severe writer’s block.
Why? I have no clue. All I know it that it started just shortly after I posted Chapter 117. During which when trying to write Chapter 118 and 119, they’ve been nothing but challenging for me. And while many of you are probably like Oh whatever, just suck it up or that’s no reason as to why you can’t update, it’s very much true for me.
That I should be able to post more than 1 chapter here and 1 chapter there, but in all honesty I can’t.
And it’s not because I don’t want to either. No. It’s because like many, I, myself do have a life outside of writing my stories. And while I’m flattered that many of you are thoroughly enjoying my books, there is one thing that I’ve learned since writing my first book, Our Luna, Our Mate and that’s never too rush a good book no matter what.
Not only that, but I also work Monday thru Friday.
That alone typically prevents me from posting in the evenings as well because I’m typically tired after spending 9 hours a day as a Daycare teacher and the last thing I want to be doing is sitting at my desk trying to write up chapters. But when I see positive comments and words of encouragement, I use that as my motivation to try and get more chapters going.
Which brings me to my other reason as to why I only post on weekends. For when keeping my updates more towards Saturday and Sundays I feel like I’m able to offer you more as a reader than I would if I was trying to post during the week.
So again, please, please, be kind to those who write for you never know what that person is dealing with outside of their stories and being frustrated over something such as updates doesn’t help the writer at all. If anything it only makes them feel terrible at most.
Now then…. Now that I still have your attention, I do have a few exciting things to share with all of you. One being that come September 1st of 2025 I will be officially publishing Our Luna, Our Mate on Amazon.
Thus, when I do finally release it, it’ll be available for eBook and Paperback. Not sure about Hardcover yet until I officially edit and format the book but until then, just know those will be your options in the beginning. Plus the book is getting a major revamp too. As my dream is to someday become a full-time Author and I hope by doing this it’ll bring me one step closer to that dream.
I’m also trying to figure out the whole design concept for building a website and newsletter for I would love to share little things about me and my books as I continue to publish them for all to read.
Also…
While I have your attention. I want to give a huge shout out to all my Wisconsin followers. As I have a very important announcement to share with all of you. Starting in October of 2025 I will be attending my first ever Vendor Event for MKE Books & Beer. It’ll take place on the 19th of October from 12-4pm. Which if many of you haven’t guessed, I want to start aiming for Author Events starting in 2026 & 2027 so that I might be able to meet more wonderful people.
But more on that when the day draws closer. For now, just know that come October 19th I will be doing my first ever local event, and I won’t be able to do much updating until I’m done. And for those curious in finding me, I will be listed as Enchanted Shadow Stories.
A name that I’ve grown quite fond of in my journey of starting my little baby business. Where I hope it’ll one day become much bigger.
With that said, and before we jump into Chapter 121…I just want to let everyone know that I will also be posting stories under the penname, Selene Nightshade. And while it’s just a name for now, I will be posting under that name via Amazon, Dreame, AlphaNovel, Myfiction and Fiction Me in the near future and books I post under that name will be strictly for those accounts while the books I post here under my real name will be strictly Anystories and its sister sites.
Now then, without further ado, please enjoy the rest of the book. And again, thank you to everyone whose been nothing but kind and supportive with me as I juggle my way through writing the rest of this book and for those of you wondering about Our Luna, Our Mate: Rise of the White Wolf, that book is currently on hold until I can figure out Adrian and why he’s so special.
