Chapter 38

Ella

The moment the Graduation Ceremony was done and over with do I finally move to find Kris. The need to find her until I’m able to locate my brothers a must, the sense of being watched still lurking all around me.

Get a grip girl, I scold myself, unsure why I was letting this affect me like that. Shaking my head, I move to push it far away from me just as my eyes finally land on Kris.

“ELLA!” exclaims Kris, her body approaching mine with a smile, the urge to hug her rising as we both move to elope one another within a warm embrace.

“KRIS!” I exclaim right back, equally excited that we both finally graduated from Valley View together. “FINALLY! We’re FREE!”

Giggling at my words Kris can only nod in agreement.

“What’s so funny?” asks Grant, his presence calming my nerves as Kris moves to blush, both of us unaware that he had approached us from behind until he had finally spoken up.

“Oh that? We just thought it was funny that we were finally free of Valley View that’s all” I move to tell him.

“I see, and what do you exactly plan to do with this new found freedom of yours?” questions Grant, his eyebrow raised as he continued to watch Kris and I.

“Uh Party, that’s what” giggles Kris, the thought of our Graduation Party now rising.

“Ya, what she said” I say back, the need for a distraction growing. The need to do something, anything if it meant getting rid of the feeling of eyes that kept lingering upon me since getting my diploma.

Holding back a chuckle, Grant moves to gesture us in the direction I can only assume is to where my brothers were, Kris moving towards Grant as she moves to wrap her arms around his, a ping of jealousy rising at being able to touch the one you loved freely and yet I couldn’t.

Easy Ella, Jealousy doesn’t suit us, I silently remind myself, knowing that if even one of my brothers were nearby that I would probably have done the exact same thing without fear.

“Well? Come on then, Ceremony is now over with, so let's get this show on the road shall we? After all, the faster we get home the faster you two can party” reminds Grant, a smile still on each of our faces as I move to head for them.

-Later that Day-

When finally returning home, Kris and I instantly ran for my room. The need to change coming to mind as we were planning to go out later that evening and the need to have fun a must. Reece having booked us a private room at one of their clubs so we could dance and have fun, a big win in my book. Having decided to just go out and enjoy ourselves Reece, Dylan and Caleb each agreed to let us use one of their clubs for the night, one of the many businesses that they owned aside from Corporate things.

“Girl, are you sure about this? I mean we could have just swam, I mean we do own a huge ass pool outside” I remark, nervous about going out in public for all to see.

“Relax, your brothers are going to be there as well along with Grant and Hayden. Besides the part that we’ll be in will be Private. No one will be able to join us” replies Kris as if sneaking into bars and clubs were her thing.

“But-” I pause. “I’m barely legal. Not yet 21 but not exactly 18 either. At least not for another month” I mutter nervously.

“Who says anything about drinking? I know you're not yet 21. And if it wasn’t a club owned by your brothers I wouldn’t have suggested it in the first place. I just thought we could go out. Dance. Have a little fun and let loose.” remarks Kris.

Biting my inner cheek at that I can’t help but feel she’s right. The club, Nebula, was one of Reece and Dylan’s first businesses when they were back in college, a nightclub of sorts. The club was more upscale than bar dive and it wasn’t supposed to be permanent either but the club did so well back then that Reece and Dylan both decided to keep it. Taking the money they earned to reinvest it back into the business while building and growing in other areas as well.

Dylan moving towards Security and Hotel chains while Reece focused on High Tech Gadgets and Restaurants that it kept them rather busy and now each of them were now taking over father’s company as well.

The world's biggest creation. One that was sought after time and time again. Jewelry. My father, no, our father was the world’s wealthiest man because of his connections to any and all Diamond Mines. As our father was one of many CEOs who dabbled in jewels.

The finest jewels to ever grace this world. Jewels so rare that only the richest people alive could buy them. And now, those jewels belonged to my brothers. And as for me? I was a girl who was suddenly caught in the middle of all of it as some strange man tried to steal my father’s company right from under our noses.

Shaking the thoughts from my mind, I move to walk into my huge walk-in closet, Kris freshening up while I decide if I truly want to change or wear the same outfit from earlier today.

Hmm… Decisions. One’s I didn’t want to make as I decided against changing and just go for freshening up my makeup as well like Kris was doing.

“Not changing?” asks Kris once she spots me exit the closet in the same dress as before.

“Nah. After all, it's a private event. Besides I’m not there to impress anyway” I say, before muttering under my breath. “Don’t need to impress anyone when I have them. My sexy as sin brothers”

“That’s the spirit” smiles Kris as she goes back to doing her thing, her makeup and hair.

Feeling the butterflies within the pit of my stomach I can’t help but feel like something terrible was going to happen later that night but choosing to ignore it, I move to touch up my own hair and makeup while adding some different jewelry to my outfit hoping to dress it up instead of down.

A short few hours later, we were finally finished and it was now almost 5 in the afternoon. Having gotten home sometime after 12 in the afternoon as Graduation hadn’t started till 10 that morning and being at Valley View, the ceremony lasted about 2 hours if not longer due to ceremony speeches, walking across the stage and of course the closing speeches. Not to mention of course waiting for others to leave as it was extremely crowded.

But, once all those things had happened we were finally allowed to leave as young adults. Young adults who were finally free of duties and school. Feeling my stomach grumble I blush just as there’s a knock on my door, signaling that there was someone standing at my door.

“Yes?” I call out, Kris and I moving to see who was standing just outside the door, the door opening to reveal Dylan.

“You girls ready? We figured we go eat first before heading off to Nebula for your night of fun” replies Dylan, a smile now gracing his features as the butterflies slowly return full swing. Only this time, they weren’t nervous butterflies, no, they were excited butterflies. Ones I only got from seeing my brothers.

“Ya, let's get this party started” I offer, pushing away my little butterflies as we move to follow after Dylan who continued to stand there waiting for us over at the door.
